Well I made a right hash of things......

Hung around waiting for the rain to ease off, dashed out to B&Q, got soaked, forgot my purse......

The paint can wait I'm not going out again, it's tipping it down.

Chanie - one of my favourite hobbies is people watching, I fin time passes very quickly when waiting for an appointment etc,:D

I really enjoyed people watching, but I'm always rushing around so I rarely get the opportunity to do so.

I bought some patterned leggings from uniqlo, which I picked up today as they store alter them for free. I'm rather scared of pattern and tend to gravitate towards plain items, so it's a nice change for me.
  • Happy fab Friday everyone :j

I'm still plodding along with the fabbing - bought a UV lamp kit and have done my nails, as they were really bad - kept splitting and breaking (I wash my hands a lot now I have two babies to look after!). I did a pink polish to start with, may be braver with the next one!

Rejoined Slimming World after about 6 weeks off - hadn't put any weight on but then hadn't lost any either, feels like a wasted opportunity. I am so hungry at the moment though, running after/ lifting up/ playing with wriggly babies uses up a lot of energy.

How are the house/ moving plans going LL? My friend has put her house back on the market after a previous buyer let her down - now she can't sell, local estate agents say nothing is moving (may be just an excuse, who knows!!) - which means she missed out on the house she wanted to buy :(

Hope everyone is well and looking forward to the weekend!
Finally debt free!! March 2018 :j

    Good afternoon lovely ladies.

Not much to report. I managed to get To Physio yesterday - dodging the raindrops and this morning finally Stocked up with paint ready for the decorator. Gosh paint is expensive these days!!! . Slapping on a bit of emulsion and revamping a room for £50 is no longer an option. :rotfl:

It's dry at the moment so went out and inspected the garden, theres a lot to do but not today.....Manana - maybe....:rotfl:

Gpimg to play catch up today, everywhere is very untidy so will have a schlepp round, nip to the shop, cook supper and that will be the day gone. Hoping to fit in a homegrown manicure and facial at some point.

Don't forget ladies.......Fab Friday. Although I only wearing jeans I have dug out one of my newer pretty tops and perfume of course......

Treated myself to some new eye make this week and booked a haircut for next week.

    Onwards and upwards......

    Crossed posts Ruby.

Sorry to hear about your friend losing the house she wanted. Yes I'm hearing about a lot of cancelled sales this week.

Re my purchase. Well I saw a bungalow the other day, it was truly dire so I won't be offering but the agent was really pushing it, saying how they were open to offers etc. he admitted they had lost a lot of sales this week.

I hope this doesn't sound nasty but it might just work in my favour. I am going to see an apartment tomorrow. I missed it before, when it came on the market a couple of months ago it sold within 2 days and I didn't event get the chance to view it. Anyway it's back on the market so obviously the sale has collapsed so I might get a chance now.

    There's a saying isn't there "What's for you, won't go by you".
Sometimes things happen for a good reason. Perhaps she might still get her chance, maybe she might eventually find something even better. QUe Sera and all that......

TBH having spent most of my career selling houses and seeing people lose their "dream house" only to find an even better one a few months down the line I've come to the conclusion that houses are a bit like buses. Nothing for ages and then they all come at once.

If I don't get the apartment there are one or two pretty cottages that have just come up so I'm not going to worry too much.

In the immortal words of Mr McCawber "something is about to turn up". ;)

I use the lamp etc for my nails, looking good at the moment, when I break one I cut them all to the same length, can`t bear odd lengths, :)
Trying to keep them a shorter length so not so prone to breakages, I find the hardest part is getting the polish off without damaging the nail surface, any one got any tips or tricks please.:D
Do I need it or just want it.

ruby and LL I'm sure the market will pick itself up soon. People are still in shock but things get back to normal quickly enough, particularly as the it will take years to make the practical arrangements.

I'm having a relatively fab day, wearing my new patterned jeans. In case anyone is interested, Space NK have a sale on. I've ordered some lip products by Lipstick Queen, which were half price. I got myself a set of lip crayons and my sister a set of liquid lipstick, which I'll put away for December. I'm taking a bit of a risk as I haven't tried the colours on, but I saw reviews online where people took pictures of themselves wearing the colours and it made me realise that no one looked hideous and I may end up finding a new favourite I've previously overlooked.

Not sure where time has been going lately, but I guess the one night I haven't been out this last week I worked super late. I was feeling bad I haven't exercised, but thinking about it I hiked last Saturday and Sunday, did a p/t session Monday and Wednesday and yoga on Wednesday so it's just I have been eating dreadfully this week.

Anyway, I have a quiet weekend planned so am going to get myself organised and back on the wagon. Going to try to keep well away from the shops as I am very short of money this month - spent a lot on the garden last month and just paid off the balance on my holiday to Austria for September and my trip to Edinburgh for August. I don't really need any new clothes for this summer anyway and I am not going to buy anything to put for next summer as I don't want to to guess at what size I will be (aiming for smaller of course!).

Should be getting a new girl to join my team which will make a huge difference - share the workload between the two of us and start getting away at a sensible hour. She can't work late as she has children to pick up and has had some health issues which flare up if she works long hours and I think that will encourage me to leave more punctually too. After all if the management are happy to employ her on that basis there's no reason why I should overwork myself to the point of illness either (which I have done in the past).

    Have a fab weekend all

indie what is this summer that you speak of? I can't believe we are in July and have barely seen any Sun. Hopefully your new colleague will take some of the burden from you.

Things are pretty hectic at work at the moment, but at least I have my Xmas holiday to look forward too in a couple of weeks. I've made a start on getting organised, but still have quite a bit to do. Me and OH tend to pack lightly as we share the suitcases with the children and it means we have less unpacking when we get back home.
