    Heya ItsaLongshot,

I hear your pain! Hubby pointed out to me that I really need to up the ante if I want to hit 2016 so I'm now kicking myself for not counting all the bits of stationery we donated individually. :o

    But...

Hopefully it'll be an incentive to get rid of even more stuff! :j

I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
Blimey, i didnt realise i had so much 'stuff'!! Another 2 bin bags of clothes/bags/shoes bagged up to be donated to the charity shop.

Trying to nag my teenager into sorting out his built in cupboard in his room...he never uses anything in there, but is a total hoarder!

EDIT- Also forgot to say that i emptied out a cupboard in the lounge that i rarely use. Another bin bag of rubbish gotten rid of there!
  • Working 8-6 today but made a start on decluttering before I left this morning. Going to try and sell things that I might get a little bit of money for since money is extremely tight just now. Starting with selling my old DVD's on ziffit or music magpie.

    1. Pair of vans that have definitely seen better days - bin
2-13. Set of dishes that has never been used - cs
    14. broken flip video camera - bin
    15-16. 2x magazines - recycling
    Debt Paid - £0/£7240
Debt free goal date - 30 April 2019.
  • 49 - 76. Clothes to dance school bags2school collection
    77. Xmas present back to Mum
    78. Wellies to Mum's for niece/nephews to use as too small for DDs

Pleased with how well I'm getting on as being back to work hasn't stopped me from decluttering. Loads of stuff has gone into the bin, receipts into recycling etc but I'm not counting that type of item in my yearly total :-)
  • Happy Sunday Fellow Declutterers!
Few bits and pieces of past its best food out before Mr Sainsbury delivered this morning. I don't waste much food, but occasionally there are a few bits beyond redemption! Also remains of old candle. I am stripping out my bedroom ready to be redecorated. Took print off wall that won't be right in new decor, straight into current CS bag. Bag about full, so it has been located by front door ready to go ☺.

  • Well I set myself a challenge to clear 2016 pieces of paper in 2016.

So far I am up to 632 (and I have not counted any new bits of junk mail, receipts etc which I'm starting to deal with straight away instead of stuffing it all in a cupboard)

I think I'll reach my target by the end of January. It'll be interesting to see how much paper I have simply let accumulate.

I think my theme for February will be books and craft/wildlife/special interest magazines. I've probably got 2016 of these too.

I'm also using the toiletry challenge to use up all my half-used bottles and tubes. I think this will be ongoing through the year.

I can see that others are really doing well too.

    Great thread.
