Hi everyone
Well today was the day we were cleaning eldest boy's bedroom and there was only one bag of rubbish and not much to get rid of. He's quite a tidy child really and doesn't hoard stuff thankfully
Also traded some more old DVD's and videos in and made another £53.53p for our "new games console fund"... bringing the total to £146.53We have just under £40 to go to reach our goal and have also gotten rid of a lot of unused games/dvd's in the process. Win Win!

Sorry to hear that your mum has passed away Rossi - sending hugs and condolences. I've got my Grandma's funeral tomorrow, so understand the emotional rollercoaster xxx0

I think I might be on a bit of a roll - may need to adjust my target at some point!
12-15: 4 x old kids' DVDs - CS
16: old sweets tin I'd been using as a cake tin. Definitely past its best - recycling.
I've got 5 items on Ebay ending today. 4 have been bid on, so I'll be listing those tomorrow when I post them. That'll be 5 items sold and about £60 going into my decorating fund after deduction of fees! :j
DizzyImp - I know what you mean about the risk of "reallocating" gifts to the original giver. Fortunately this one is going to someone who couldn't possibly have given it to me, so I can relax
I'm really enjoying the bit by bit decluttering. I've just spent twenty minutes matching video games to their boxes and manuals (not mine, I hasten to add!). It's made more space in the spare room and I've found a couple more to list on Ebay. Slow and steady appears to be winning the race. I'm going to visit m'chap at the weekend to start decluttering his flat before he moves up here. That's going to be a task and a half! :eek:I predict many trips to the tip and CS3-6 month EF Challenge Member #19: £3590/£6000.[/B] Craft destash from 22.5.22: 46/200. Hi everyone, sorry I've not posted for a few days , my Mum sadly passed away on Saturday - I've been on a bit of an emotional roller coaster, but I have started to sort through mountains of my paperwork to try and keep my mind occupied.
So...
10. Paperwork, shredded, recycled
11. Broken light bulb -bin
12, used postage stamps in collection box for breast cancer
13. Packaging from Xmas gift smellies - recycle and bin
14. 2015 calendar - recycled
Great start to the de-cluttering new year by everyone
Sorry for your loss x
I've had a busy few days, but I've managed to get rid of a few things...
14. old glasses case binned
15. 1/2 box of Christmas cards recycled( I usually keep them for the next year and then forget about them)
16. small pile of old magazines sorted and recycled0 -
Cleared out bathroom cabinets due to a leak and found loads of unused or discarded toiletries
I did not know (until I thought what a waste to throw away ) that women's refuges in the UK need toiletries and essentials to be donated.
They accept partially used make up and toiletries except for mascara

A bit ashamed about stuff I might have thrown away in the past so I am making up a parcel.
Sorry for your loss Rossi.0 -

IMO there is no need to be ashamed! But good for you :T I experienced DV, but was lucky enough not to need to use a refuge. But I know so many people who have done, and I know that little things like that make all the difference at such a difficult time.0 -
I managed to do a quick clean of the cupboard under the sink and tossed a few items into the bin. I have 4 things to take to the CS tomorrow. Every little helps! Now Mrs FrugalinShropshire:T Proud to be mortgage and debt free:j0
