Hiya
Day 5. 10 empty old dvd cases (no idea where the actual films are, long gone I suspect)
Just 10 a day is proving too easy, once i get started I can fling for England but its more doable on the days i cba so will keep it at that, plus its easier to keep count.

Had to make a hard decision. I have 3 'posh frocks' (that I used to wear to the evening ball etc when DH was in the army). I now have no need for these dresses plus, at the time, I was 15 years younger than I am now and hadn't had 2 kids. So I've decided to get rid of them. Oh, and found an empty DVD case too!
35 - 37. 3 dresses - CS
38. Empty DVD case - binFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Had a great day of decluttering with all of the following in the car ready for the CS tomorrow:
9 - 25 Books - all read or no longer used
26. Sports Leggings - too big
27. School tights - too small
28 - 34. Shoeboxes - they type you build for yourself. All clear so they may be able to use them for displays.
35 - 41. Christmas stockings - usually take xmas stuff to CS in November as I know they must be tight for storage but want them out of the house.
42. Skirt - too small
43 - 46. Single duvet sets - all characters that the DDs have grown out of
47. & 48. Photo Albums - never used and in original packaging
My daughter's dance school are having a bags2school collection in a couple of weeks so I intend to fill a bag for them and add it into my total.0 -
Hey folks! I've been lurking in topics like this and the KonMari one for a while without contributing, but given that one of things I want to do to turn my life around is have a major sort out at home, I'll probably have more success if I join in. You're all such a friendly bunch too! :j
The tidying up started a while back, though I tend to have a go then sit back for a few weeks without having really completed an area or task. I was browsing through the old style forum at work (during lunch!) earlier today and saw Sa1sysoo's excellent idea of decluttering 2016 items in 2016, so I'm going to attempt the same! Was it odd that I read that at work and started getting excited thinking about the things I can chuck out when I get home to start building the list?! :rotfl:
Anyway, I live on my own, so all the clutter is mine and mine alone. I've generally got waaaay too much stuff, and part of the problem is the huge cupboard I've got where things often get put to be dealt with another day. Tidying up my cupboard has become a bit of a running joke! I know there's plenty in there I can get rid of. I did have a bit of a clear out session just after Christmas so some things have already gone and won't make the list. Time to get started...Debt tracker ~ June 2015: £9,577.83 ~ January 2016: £7,913.22 ~ 17.38% debt paid!
