We decluttered the "stuff" drawer in the kitchen
Known in our house as "the drawer of many things" (James May, ManLab)
Mine used to be very cluttered, but I've now got some plastic containers which fruit and veg come in and things are now categorised in them so it's easy to find what I want.0 -
Oooh, lovely new thread! I wasn't on the 2015 challenge for very long, but I managed to exceed my target by quite a lot. I've got even more of an incentive now, as my partner is going to be moving in over the next few months. I'm going to set myself an ambitious target of 250 items for 2016. Fingers crossed!3-6 month EF Challenge Member #19: £3590/£6000.[/B] Craft destash from 22.5.22: 46/200. Declutter from 22.5.22: 105/250 Car finance PAID OFF £7,848.88 IN 2019 (0% LOB)0

Just cleaned out the first aid & cleaning cupboard in the kitchen. I only did it in September but I've still found stuff to chuck:
21 - Suncream x2 (They say it has a shelf life of 12 months, but since I burn the moment I look at the sun I'm not risking it & will buy new)
22 - Aftersun (I'll bring one down from my stash)
23 - Box of citric acid (Bought it to clean with, and its absorbed water & gone mouldy!)
24 - Box of Borax substitute (Same as above!)
25 - Bag of salt which has gone rock hard & the bags mouldy!
I also have strong painkiller meds I need to take to the pharmacists as they're expiring this month and I've not used them in over a year...or maybe 2?Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Wasn't planning on much in the way of decluttering today... the boys go back to school tomorrow so DH and I will be doing a huge sort our the rest of the week
But I did manage to sort the airing cupboard out. 3 pairs of curtains and some net curtains for the CS. Have also decided to get rid of my fave lightshade... we brought it from the old house when we moved, but it doesn't fit any of the lights in the new house... to the CS it goes!

Really thought about the things around me and how I want to count items towards my total. At first I felt that 5 pan lids (thanks to Flylady thread) into the bin was a great start to my 2016 goal but got me thinking about landfills etc so I'm only going to count items that are recycled in one shape or form whether that is putting them into my recycling bin, taking them to the tip, charity shops, tombola prizes, bags2school, given to friends/family etc. So, with that in mind today I've decluttered:
Item No:
1. Brownie Top to Brownies 2nd hand collection
2. & 3. Brownie Trousers to Brownies 2nd hand collection
4, 5, 6, 7 & 8. Selection of 5 fabrics to next door neighbour as she is creating bunting for a wedding.0 -
Hiya
Day 4. 8 bits of gibble out of the messy drawer, and 2 old spring summer NEXT catalogues. Theyve been bugging me since last year haha.
Doing some big- ish stuff tomorrow as ive commandeered my DS who is on holiday from work, to help with a tip run, im itching woohoo x0 -
Not sure if most people would call this a declutter, but I just sorted out Sky HD box recordings... we had 3 full pages of stuff recorded that we have never (and probably will never) watch, along with a ton of series auto records for stuff we haven't watched in ages.... deleted! 89% of the hard drive down to 16%.
I know it isn't physical "stuff"... but boy do I feel better for clearing it! So I am counting it as a declutter (it did take a almost a good half hour like)
