Well that didn't take as long as I expected :D

Clothes sorted, which takes me to 10 declutters in 2 days (I am counting a group of things, rather than individual items for now...) A bag full for CS and some of my old dancing gear is going to a friend who is starting a dancing class next week :)

I think the thing I am loving most so far is that I am finding things that other people can make use of... I like that just as much as I like seeing my home becoming less cluttered <3

  • I'm not counting things.
Today have some stuff in the clothes recycling bag and a few more bits for the charity shop.

Husband is a bit of a hoarder. Managed to get some of his carp into the loft. Out of sight, out of mind and this may help him actually get rid in a years time.

Under my bed is now lovely. Ish. Has 2 full sports bags of my husband stiff and a plastic box of more of his carp.

I'm going to sort my drawers of smellies. I've got loads. Think this year I will only need face cream, deodorant and toothpaste!

Need to declutter paperwork. Husband seems to think all paperwork needs to be kept. Quite honestly, I'd get rid of paper bills if I could. How can I get rid of paperwork without a shredder? Thanks.

MrsMH - I feel your pain because my husband is a hoarder too but the problem is he remembers what he has so if I stashed it away somewhere he'd notice it had gone and would not be happy. The whole house is really taken up with his carp but thankfully he is starting to sort it out - though not as thoroughly as I'd like but it's a start isn't it. If I hassle him he won't do it - stubborn man!!

    I've found the following:

Bike helmet - bin (no use to anyone)
    Magazine - recycling
Yet more Christmas cards - recycling
    Blow up ring - CS
Broken purse Z made - bin
Old jiffy bag on kitchen unit - bin!
Toddlers toilet training seat - we've got no use for this so J taking it for a friend of his
    Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting

I managed to declutter some of my old recipe books... I hardly use most of them, so I have bagged a load up for CS tomorrow. I have only kept my Mrs Beeton's, a war ration recipe book that I use often, a speciality Japanese recipe book that I love and one with 1001 cake and biscuit recipes (that I could not live without)! :D

    11 declutters! :D

Edit: Just remembered that I listed a filofax on ebay and someone has bid so that's going... 12 declutters! :D

I'm going to try this but I'm not going to list things until they actually leave the house. We have a habit of putting stuff to one side to leave the house and they can sit there for months (or years in some cases :o).

DD has had a clear out in her room today to make room for Christmas gifts (she's been away or would have done it sooner) and approx 20 items have done in the bin so we'll start there ;)
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
