Just had a couple of hours in the spare room/full of son's stuff because he is a bit of a nomad with said son before he goes off on his next project. Managed to fill the paper bin and the rubbish bin along with 3 bags for the charity shop and a box to possibly put on eBay.
I also threw out some of my stuff that has been lurking in there now I have nowhere to hide LOL.0 -
1. Large worn out Sitting Room rug – into garage as it will be used for mulching.
2. Christmas catalogues – recycling
3. One bag clothes – CS
4. Cushion – CS
5. Picture – CS
6. Gardening magazines – given away
I have made a start but am feeling curiously unmotivated. Possibly due to still recovering from a virus. Hopefully I will achieve some momentum soon!0 -

Keep them in shoe boxes, which stops them getting scuffed and squashed, but take a photo and stick that to the outside so you can see immediately what's inside.

I am hoping to move house in 2016,so want to start getting rid of as much as possible before that happens.
What does everyone do about unwanted furniture?
Try the Emmaus Charity, they take furniture to re-condition and sell.0 -

Ooh, a shiny new thread - please can I join again this year? Have already started decluttering, so will have an update soon x :j0

176 pieces of paperwork decluttered today. I hope by the end of January to have cleared the backlog and can then make a start on the rest of the house.Grocery challenge 2017 January £158.74/£200

I de-cluttered six bottles of wine which we've had for a few years - given to us by other people for Christmas over the years. We don't drink, so I gave them to my dad who does like a glass or two of red wine. I have warned him that they might not necessarily be nice as they've been there a while!0

Feeling a bit guilty for not having decluttered anything, particularly as I started the thread!
Got started now, though:- Business Cards from old Job - recycled
- Christmas Cards - either scrap booked or recycled
Hmmm. Not as much as I would have liked, but it's a start.OH OD - £100.00/£100.00 Joint OD - £100.00/£100.00StepChange: £10,057.670
