I'm going to be decluttering big style this year.weve got so much "stuff". I'm running out of storage room. I had a good declutter when we moved over 2 years ago, but it's amazing how it builds up.
I have put some kitchen items I don't use in the garage. They will go to the charity shop. There is no point me trying to sell stuff as I will never get around to it.0 -
Would love to join this!!
I have a spare room that I cannot get into, and we are trying to save for a bigger house as although we have a three bed Little Man cannot get his wheelchair around it!
Add to that I am a lazy mare, who works part time and doing my degree in education, I have decided the only way I'll have a tidy house is to have nothing in it!!!
Have put 25 things on Ebay, ending sunday so hopefully things will start flying!!

Nice to see a new thread
I have been reading "Organised Simplicity" by Tsh Oxenreider and it has given me the motivation I need to restart the decluttering journey in our home.
So we have been through the kitchen and cleared out all the things we have not used in the last few months. Then we decluttered and cleaned the living room from top to bottom which is now a more relaxing place to be.
Today I went through all the paperwork and cleared the out of date items and reorganised what was left and I have made a reasonable start on the bedroom.
As a result we have taken car loads of things to the dump or to a selection of charity shops.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Can I join in please? We have a lot of clutter and my hubby agreed today I could use our spare room as a craft room. If that isn't an incentive to dejunk I don't know what is.
I am desperate for a cheap storage idea for our shoes, anyone any good ideas ?:hello:

I have a mammoth job ahead of me.
My house sale "should" be completed on the 15th January and purchase of my new home on the 29th January.
To give you an idea of what I mean when I say a mastodon shaped task is before me, well I am currently living in a 5 bed detached house and am moving into a 2 bed flat.:snow_laug
80-90% of my belongings have been in (filling) a 20ft container for the past 9months (don't ask  about my buyer :mad)
The months of not being surrounded by my treasures has made me realise I have A LOT of stuff that I don't need as much as I once believed I did. So of the 1200 Blurays & DVDs I own, I am going to get rid of 2/3 - 3/4 of them. The same for the books and comics, furniture and clothes. I am sure I will find more things to get rid of as I unpack and realise how impossibly small a living area I now have to work with:rotfl:.

Hi all, can i join in?
I am hoping to move house in 2016,so want to start getting rid of as much as possible before that happens.
I have already taken 4 bin bags of clothes to the clothes bank, and 3 suitcases of books to the charity shop. I have some more clothes and books to get rid of though.
What does everyone do about unwanted furniture?0 -
