If Aldi ever came to Northern Ireland I would be a happy woman!!!

They're currently building one about a five minute walk from my house. I passed yesterday and the signs have gone up, so can't be much longer now...! :j

I went a bit off track yesterday. Started well with the usual yoghurt and fruit, then found some mixed nuts in my desk drawer and ate them all (about 14 syns based on calorie info on the pack). I was thinking that's OK as I'm in credit syn-wise. Then work 'treated' us to lunch from the cafe round the corner - they always spring stuff like this on us and I don't mean to be ungrateful but I always take a packed lunch so it's a bit annoying. Anyway I can't resist the sweet potato fries so I got a portion of those to have alongside my roast veg couscous, but the portion was so huge that I could only eat the fries. Then it was someone's birthday so I had a small piece of chocolate cake. On the plus side, I used up my veg couscous with some diet coke chicken from the freezer for my tea (it's lovely isn't it Emmylou?) ... but then I ate three meringues and a glass of rioja.

So a bit naughty but considering when I usually go off track I usually end up having a whole tube of pringles, a massive chocolate bar and a family bag of revels, it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Lazy breakfast of fruit and yoghurt this morning (I really want some sort of omelette but desperately need to go shopping), then I'm heading into town for the day so going to try to get something low syn in M&S, then I fancy steak, mushrooms and salad for tea :D

EDIT - I've just remembered the extra portion of veg couscous in the fridge. I'm going to be extra-sad and take it with me, I can pop back to the car post-shopping, pre-hairdressers and eat it then :A

Morning all.. so my line is drawn, had a horrendous week - 2 work lunches (pizza and greggs!) then out yesterday in town for cocktails etc the rest of the week was off plan but I have no naughtiness planned until 9th March now so no excuses to go off the rails! I am so tired this morning though :( may have a nanny nap later, it'll keep me out the kitchen at least..

Enjoy the wedding maman, :T to the dress..

thanks for posting the super6 meg, I considered going this morning and fetching them then I remembered I hate shopping at our aldi, especially on Saturdays :rotfl:

I feel exactly the same Tete, our work like to treat us to lunch (or tea if we're there late), but I always have something with me.. and it's always pizza/greggs/kfc etc, I know I don't have to participate but I'm afraid the willpower leaves me when everyone is eating pizza.. :(

so challenge wise I've picked up everyone's target, 15 stone pledged so far! :T Someone asked about weigh in day, apologies I can't remember who it was :o but it was a Friday, so yes your first weigh in result for the challenge would be Friday the 4th..

    Good luck everyone!

Off to do a freezer inventory and do a meal plan.. :D
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

It's annoying isn't it? Both from a syns and a messing-up-our meal plans perspective!

15 stone! Wow, good luck everyone!!

I'm not very well so I haven't gone to official weigh in today. On home scales it looks like about half a pound off but I know these are less accurate. Maybe I leave my final weight as is and carry this week's on to the next challenge!
    9 weeks? I'll aim for 5lb please :)
Hopefully I can pull it off. I really want to boost my weight loss in a way I feel like I can manage, was considering combining 5:2 with slimming world but I do tend to feel unwell when I undereat so not sure I'd get on with it. I suppose the real answer is to stay totally on plan every single day I just find that really difficult. Got too used to weigh day treats :(
OH expects a cheat day or 2 at the weekend and at work colleagues keep getting cooked breakfasts which smell amazing if I don't join in...

My colleague who (thankfully) left yesterday, used to go to the canteen and bring back a cooked breakfast every day. The smell next to me was amazing, but then I would look at it at think - "that is just swimming in grease", and carry on with my Weetabix and raspberries/blueberries :)

We are supposed to have a policy of "no eating at desks", becasue our manager believes we should take a break completely away from work when we eat, but this colleague didn't share those beliefs!

You could try doing EESP days twice a week, maybe adding in some portion control and keep syns to a minimal amount to reduce calories further.

Back later, got to go out.

  • Hi all,

Am pleased to report that at weigh in this morning I've lost 5lbs! Have finally got my 3.5st award, plus SOTW. Am only 2.5lbs away from my 4st as well. :j

Have had a horrendous week healthwise though, as I've had the runs. It is getting better, but not there yet.

    Hope everyone is ok. x
