Some times in life you have to spend a bit more than you initially thought you would have to, to get what you actually want!
How do you know what someone actually wants, what you mean is what you think they want and can be persuaded to buy so you can make the most commission out of the deal.

Just because you think Miele are the bees knees does not me mean you are right, as said you sound like a double glazing salesman that is trying to persuade people to spend more than they want or is necessary.

Sorry I don't know about double glazing salesmen, so I can't comment on this - do you keep mentioning this as an insult?

The OP actually mentioned Miele in their first post saying they would really like one but alas probably couldn't afford one, so I was trying to point out that they are maybe not as expensive as the OP may have thought.

Cajef, you are right, I could be wrong, Miele might not be the best domestic washing machines. So please let me explain why I think they are. I have worked in the industry for more than 25 years, have visited most of the different factories within Europe the produce washing machines, seen the components used etc. Always keep my knowledge of appliances up to date. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Miele without question take exceptional care in producing the very best and most advanced domestic washing machines in the world. As an example of this, all machines now have PCB control systems, all other makes buy in PCB s. Miele don't, no PCB manufacturers produce PCB s good enough for Miele wahing machines, so Miele is the only appliance manufacturer in the world that has a PCB factory of its own!

I am sorry if my opinions may sound a bit forthright on this subject but to me any other brand of washing machine is made with compromises that Miele wouldn't even consider.

This sounds like salesman's spiel. Manufacturers often purchase components or assemblies rather than make them themselves, it doesn't mean the components are necessarily inferior, it all rests on the specification and quality assurance applied to the product. You could equally argue that a specialist company, who does nothing except make PCBs would produce the better product.

    LOL I'm not selling anything!

I am just very passionate about the company and what it stands for. I only have Miele appliances at home myself because my experience has taught me they are the best.

Miele are the largest appliance manufacturer in the world that is still privately owned, it is now in the fifth generation of family ownership and it's company values have not changed since 1899.

I started my business over 14 years ago and I couldn't start the business until I was assured a direct account with the company, as I felt Miele's values and mine went well together.

At the end of the day people can buy what they want but I thought people posted questions on this forum seeking knowledgeable advice, or am I wrong?

Something to consider is looks, if the machine is going into your kitchen. I think some brands produce really ugly machines.

And after that same 14 years my sister is on her 2nd Miele. They don't ALL last 20 years, her first one didn't last as long as my LG.
