Help Please KM-ers. Baking trays/roasting dishes.
How best to store? I need easy access, so sideways in a deep cupboard sounds good, but due to the varying sizes, they all seem to get tangled up.
Any advice appreciated, this is my weekend task. Some baking trays are small enough to fit intp magazine holders, which you can get cheaply in chazzers in plastic or metal. Even cardboard mag files work, but you'll need to prop them against something as they don't have the weight to stand upright with trays in them otherwise.
If you're a bit handy at DIY (or know someone else who is) you might want to make a frame which will sit in the bottom of a cupboard. Think of a wooden frame with verticals make of dowling posts, so you make slots which enable you to stand trays/lids/ dishes on their edges without them falling all over the place.Oh dear, hope that paragraph above makes sense.
Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

I think Lakeland Limited used to do a plastic version of a tray stacker! Similar to this one which is metal and is not a bad price at it too:-

My new peach net curtains are up!! Had a friend come round to give me a hand, well they tried so I went up the ladder and sorted it myself. Not v concealing or private, but I'm inclined to not care.
My bedroom is now covered in bedlinen and 2 sets of net curtains (Inc the landlord installed ones). I'm going out tonight and refuse to worry about it - is not a lot of housework to catch up on afterall. This is a lovely feeling indeed:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0 -

Another vote for the Lakeland bakeware organiser, I have lots of tins and this keeps them tamed.mrs-moneypenny wrote: »...
Two bags dropped at CS this morning - was given 6 sad looking hardback books I spotted in the stock room, they we going to be recycled. But I've offered to book fold them in time for valentines craft table.
Can you explain what this is, please? :huh:Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.0 -

The only one I can do so far is a heart and a heart within a heart, you go though the book marking measurements on the edges of the pages then fold the corners of the pages up or down to create a picture to the edges of the pages. Hopefully the link will give you an idea of what I mean.SPC~12 ot 124

Hi all, I was hoping to help dd2 clean up her kitchen, I was looking for a missing item sil had left there at new year, so sorted through the draws, but dd2 thought I was doing too much, and got stroppy ,she doesn't want me to tidy for her ! So came home.
As I was in cleaning mode I decided to clean the oven and sink, after which I leaned the mould from bathroom ceiling, and touched up the paint when it dried.i also painted the wall at the top of the stairs which is a feature colour and was looking a bit grubby, so that had 2 coats.cleaned the bathroom tiles, and swept and hoovered all through. :j
So after feeling upset that dd2 won't let me help her (cried on way home) I feel much better now I have had a good tidy at home. Work tomorrow so hope I feel fit enough after tea to rinse and wash the shelves to put back in the oven.;)
Please feel free to help me clean any time can keep you fed in tea and cakes xx0 -
Thanks very much for this GreyQueen, I've been umming and ahhing about whether to attend my first routine request for breast screening, I've discussed it with OH and have taken to view to attend and fingers crossed I'm in the 96% negative scans.
I'm very glad to read this. It's sensible to do what we can to look after our health.
I'm off for my third scan on Monday morning - here in Northern Ireland, a local charity offers them to women between 40-50 due to a peak in cases among women of that age. I go every two years, endure a few minutes of discomfort, with an always-professional person doing the scan, and get the results a week or two later. Waiting for the results is a bit stressful, but catching anything early is the best way to get it properly dealt with.
Good luck with your test. Hope you don't nervously blether as much as I do during the test0 -
Wow Mrs Moneypenny - they're amazing, never come across that before.
I don't think I'd have the patience but what a great way to reuse a book that has no appeal any more.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.0
