    Morning everyone

Lolly and Lola are both booked in to be spayed tomorrow ! Just got to catch them yet which I dont think is going to be easy. They are doing well and I have been watching the 5 kits just playing they are so cute been spending way to much time just watching their antics :D Still cant get near any of this lot but slowly slowly catchy monkey (or something along those lines):D

Been really busy setting up for the next clothes sale.It has put me off clothes for life I have never seen so much stuff in one room ! But this is down the hall at not at home thank goodness ! I am now up to 7 x 6ft rails and am struggling for space on them and its not all sorted out yet. Been begging for hangers which I have managed to get but trouser hangers I am about 200 short. But a large clothes store in town is going to donate what ever I need so a very big thank you to them.

I am finding it hard to see all the new items with tags that have been purchased and never worn as I know I am also guilty of this :o

Someone came down the hall while I was hanging some of this and said wow you are so organised.

When I looked the kondo factor had worked its magic and the hangers were sorted in to type neatly. The clothes were put into size and type on the rails with hangers all the right way round.Handbags in boxes tidy waiting to be displayed as were shoes :D I did it without even thinking but I do know I dont like anyone helping as I find I am going behind them changing things :rotfl:Control freak or Kondo addict I cant decide ;)

I did feel I was drowning in stuff but did feel a bit better when she said that.

The upside of this is I am taking stuff from my wardrobe and thinking I will stick that down the hall as I dont need it/want it/ wear it/ its not joy sparking/ why did I keep that for justin/ I hate the Colour/arm length/ leg length/ shape /cut/ style :rotfl:In fact why the hell did I buy it in the first place.:o So a slap on the wrist for me and I am never buying any clothes ever again :rotfl:ever ever ever.

I am sick to death of looking at clothes grrrrrr. Can you tell :)

Debt free and Mortgage free thank you to all for your encouragement and advice

  • MMF007 - congratulations on spotting that scam, it's not one I'd heard of but I'll be alert to it now. What did the scammer do - slink off protesting his innocence?

Mavvy you're an inspiration. Hope you can catch the cats for treatment.

I have an unexpectedly free day today, and with 34 deg  forecast it's going to be too hot for me to do much outside. Guess it's time to review the other wardrobe (reKondoed one last week) and turn out a few more areas that could do with a revisit. It's amazing how the more you use it, the stronger the MK instinct becomes. Stuff I decided to keep a year ago, no longer appeals. Why did I keep a box of cassette tapes?

Wow Mavvy, that's a lot of stuff to organise single-handedly but at the same time I can imagine the chaos that would descend if lots of people helped.

I am sure you will sell loads as people will be able to find their size so easily.

I've helped with random jumble sales and found the general mayhem and disorder quite upsetting. In fact, I've always found shop sales distressing, especially M&S where I've seen it mostly ending up on the floor in the scramble.

I think my department store days are gone. I washed 6 summer tops yesterday and realised they'd all come from charity shops. :D

Good luck with your sale - we'll be cheering you on from here.:D

Hi Polly, yes, fortunately he and his female accomplice slipped away when they realised they were not going to get anywhere. I was not going to try and detain them !, but sadly I was unable to see which way they went or whether they got in a car......
interestingly, but not uncommonly, I found it difficult to recall a very good description to the police but there were enough features that I could provide that made them stand out in the area (it's noticable that descriptions often relate to what people are wearing, which is fine for a few minutes but will not help in future!). I think the actions and their words made more of an impact on my brain, but the shopper said they were in the store so they will be on cctv so that's good.

And, if the incident happened again I would get the shoper's details to pass to the police because
after thanking me she drove off as I rang the Police! It would have been better if Police could speak to her!

Today I shall try and keep myself to myself!

    Take care Everyone,

  • Brilliant work mavvy well done on the effort you're putting in. Your tale has helped me a lot as I'm kinda doing a second kondo sweep and am so annoyed with myself for the number of unused things that I have but that I know aren't right for me. I'm so ashamed for the squandered money.

May I suggest that it is worth checking out the Action Fraud website to get frequent info on the latest / current scams. See http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/news You do have to scroll down their pages now to see the main text, not sure why they changed the format, but it is Very useful. There is a whole section explaining many scams, so we can all be on our toes!

  • Crikey MmF007 - that link is interesting. My elderly friend had someone knock on her door last week, the lady initiated a conversation about 'help for elderly people' despite having no literature or ID badge. She then asked for a glass of water - fortunately my friend, although 95 is very astute; she was already suspicious and she shut the door at that point.

I so agree with the comments above regarding jumble sales - if clothes are displayed neatly it's much more appealing. I think charity shops have really upped their game in this respect, most now sort stuff by colour and size.

    Phew it's a scorcher today!

Today I am Kondoing a tin of soup from my cupboards - it is a year out of date but is fine to eat - I decided to have it for lunch rather than let it get even more out of date! So that's something gone, and also MSE :)

:) Justin is a joke, as in keeping some just-in-case (Justin Case). He's responsible for a lot of clutter, bless his little cotton socks.

The can-opener brand is Brabantia, as was the predecessor.
Thanks Grey Queen - these pies are now made by Baxters ( the soup people). Their factory is just along the road from me. But I buy them from the £1 shop. :p
Baxters have been experimenting with easier opened tins but so far haven't come up with anything.

I just wish they'd put the cooking instructions on the lid instead of on the base. The number of times I've popped one in the oven then wanted to check the cooking time again, only to realise the information is now on the underside of a hot pie dish... :rotfl:
