    Morning all
The 35yo rather rotting fence at the bottom of our garden is being kondoed this weekend. We've been repairing and patching for a while fence is solid but is rotted at ground on the support posts so we've put Exra support our side. Some of the neighbour's have been trying to get the brewery to chip in and by some major fluke the pub have agreed to replace the whole 6houses worth of fence with no cost to us. Major woo!!
Fencing Lorrys pulled up this morning with stuff but they've started the other end of the fence run so it's looking like we are last. Gives Dh time to take out the supports he's put in to make taking it down easier.

Just rung the police re the found bike, so that's being taken to the local station today.

Will hopefully add to the CS pile over the week and get it dropped off next weekend.

    Have a joyful weekend all.

Good morning all. I posted last week on here so thanks for all you welcome messages.

I have had a pretty good Kondo week really. On Monday I took two large glass jars to work to put in the box for the pickled onion making lady. On Tuesday I took five books to work for the canteen book corner. On Wednesday a friend collected three large bags of bedding, towels and cushion/pillow pads that I left outside and she took them to a nearby dog's home.
Thursday is bin day so quite a bit went out with that. It is a shame I have to put things into the landfill waste but I have realised that hoarding it rather than throw it out is not solving the landfill problem, it is just delaying it. The soloution is not to create in the first place and make more informed choices about what I buy and how I will dispose of it when I get tired of it.
Friday produced mix fortunes. Yet again I have been let down by someone claiming to want to collect my charity stuff. I advertised on Streetlife and got a positive response but then came the excuses! I have however received two charity bags through the door for next week which I can use, so with these I can get rid of a least 5 bags. I made up for this by taking four pairs of old glasses to Specsavers for their charity collection and a few bras in to see if I could find a Bra Bank in town. There used to be one in Debenhams but it isn't there any more so I quickly dropped them into the clothes bank in TKMaxx. I felt bad about this but they were clean and are still a legitimate item of clothing! As long as I can get rid of the bulk of the stuff through charity bag collection, whatever is left is much more manageable and I will be able to carry it to places.

I bought a joyful interlocking 9-bin organizing set for my kitchen drawer while I was in there so I am now very happy with new Kondoed kitchen drawer which despite being 'done' still looked a mess. I also bought some joyful boots in the sale in my local shoe shop but unfortunately I saw some summer sandals in there which I love. I am giving myself time to think about them but I suspect that might just end up going back and getting them. They are gorgeous!

This weekend I am focusing on Spring Cleaning and hopefully a little Shed Kondoing if the weather warms up a little.

    Enjoy your weekends!

What do I do with a hoarder husband. I can't convince him his life would be so much easier if he had less stuff. He has the bits for anything you might ever need to replace/repair but the chances of ever finding any of it are slim to none.

All suggestions would be most appreciated.

I have a similar problem - OH sees my things/collections/stuff/possessions/hoard/barricade whatever you want to call it as a 'big problem' but cant see his of the above^^^^ is any problem at all:mad: However a minor break through last night when he said he really needed to sort out the gazillion chargers, leads, IT bits and get them into some sort of order and ditch what is now obsolete/no longer used. Its stored in many boxes with no order in our study/office. He has decided to this because he cant find a certain charger he needs to charge some kit he uses for his extreme sport hobby......and the season when he will be out most weekends and evenings taking part in extreme sport is almost upon us..........so he is motivated by something what he wants to do rather than what might benefit the 'greater good', unfortunately. He is a product of his up bringing, and he knows it, which is why he escaped to live where we do, but old habits die hard:o I have offered to bring home from work 2 small draw units which will fit into the office perfectly - ex school furniture with very deep drawers - great for all the IT carp. So will do that next week and he can take it from there:D

No proper konding for a few days now, maybe even weeks really - just grabbing a few minutes here and there. But have a holiday coming up so will get stuck in then I hope. I am hoping for some fine weather as really need to get into sheds........again:eek:

:p One of my pet hates is the use of 'concerning' - as in 'that's a bit concerning'.

Nope, you mean something like 'worrying'.

Going to nip out and kondo a book back into the central library, and quickly peep at the reserve shelves to see if my order has come in. Haven't had the email yet, but they tend to send them out overnight, and I have sometimes seen the item on-shelf before the email has been sent.

I get a bit 'twitchy' when there is a half full bag to go to CS - to make it worth the trip it has to be full to bursting and it annoys me whilst it sits there waiting for me to find some 'proper' kondo time:rotfl:

Bike taken to local police station, bundle of excess knitting needles given to lady lady of local who's going to start a knit and natter group to try and boost trade and get lounge used in afternoons. She's asked me to print off a couple of the patterns the local scbu gave me so that they can get beginners knitting for them.
Fence work is taking longer than anticipated as for some reason they've hit brick work at the other end of the run. No one can ever remember there being a wall or building there.
