Afternoon all...
One bag off to the CS today.
One bag of clothes that I couldn't/wouldn't give to the CS were given to H*M and I got a voucher in return.
Hopefully, if I get myself into gear this weekend, apart from sleeping and schleping around - Kitchen will get sorted...still a little way to go on that front.
Clothes are getting done little and often. Another bag for the CS will start tonight.

Thanks Floss may have to go down that route if I can't work out from the crafters which one it is to buy. I only want a small amount, it's only about 3 square inches of tiles........... hmm, wonder if they do tester pots of coloured grout. That could do it perhaps?
Edit, just checked the TT website, I think 2.5kg could be overkill!
If you only need a little amount, why not enquire from any local tilers if they could offer some?2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hmmm there's a possible. I think it's more likely to have been made with a craft grout than a tiling one, I'm trying to get the best match I can find otherwise it'll be a bin job.Make £2025 in 2025

Be interested in any replies to this as well. We have 2 of most garden/hand tools following his parents moving into a flat in 2007. Said items moved house with us twice,
If only my husband only had two of everything, I can only dream of such a steamlined existence. I will confess he has a double garage, a garden shed and two lock up garages he has bought over the years. They are all full  I haven't mentioned the loft and the loft over the double garage have I? Then there is the dining room which I can barely get into. Oh joy, I have a problem and a half don't I.Sell £1500

Perhaps if mavvys grout isn't exact you could tweak the colour by adding white or black powder paint to the mix.SPC~12 ot 124

Evening all
great to see progress flowing a bit easier
My KM this week has been looking after a rather ill friend, doing their housework and showing her OH how to fold tops/jumpers. I've offered my flat as a staging point for any clothes to go to textile recycling and bags for the CS. I'm mostly caught up with my own housework now and I'm exhausted!:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0 -
Morning all, another one here who is kondoing in the background and catching up with the thread regularly. I must say thank you to everyone as you keep me going! We are having work done on the house so I have downstairs furniture scattered everywhere which is driving me nuts but hopefully it will all be done in another month, then I will have a lovely time afterwards - will be KM'ing like mad!!
Re OH's who hoard, I have one too, he has a stash of about 200 old magazines under the desk which are apparently collectors items don't you know…………… mmmm no-one wanted them on flea bay
With his other stuff that gets left about, what I started doing was putting it all in one place (on top of his chest of drawers) then I only had one messy area to look at rather than all over the house. Eventually the pile go so big he tied it himself! Might be worth a try if you have a messy OH too?2019, move forward with positivity! I am the opposite of Eyeore :rotfl:0 -
Hi Eeyore
I'm just moving furniture out of the way of the builders - so trying to fit the contents of two bedrooms into the rest of the house. My bedroom is very clean and tidy, but also very full. I can see it being difficult to keep clean over the next few months as we move things around. And I'm really NOT looking forward to the mess...

oooh, greenbee, sympathies on starting the building project. Mind your backs when shifting furniture.
I'm sure you're on it, but don't discount the humble drop cloth (or old bedsheet) as a way of keep dust and grime off your belongings. It's a lot easier to shake one of these out and launder it than it is to chase dust and debris of a pile of misc possessions full of nooks and crannies and different materials which require different cleaning strategies.
Today, I am limbering up before pedalling off to the allotment with two-thirds of the seed spuds which have been on a tray on my small table for several weeks. Indeed, the huge tray was overhanging the edge. I have packed 3 egg boxes with spuds for transit and got the remaining spuds (different variety, will plant after Easter) onto a much smaller tray.
It's always good to have the spuds in the ground and my limited living space back for living in.
Haven't any particular kondo-plans for the nextfew days but things have the habit of coming out of the corners and surrendering, so something more may go lurk in the donations bag before long. I really must must must start on the To Be Read shelf and get those out of here.:o
Have a good day, folks. GQ xxEvery increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
