Thank you for the colour suggestions for our kitchen - I quite like the idea of a soft dove-grey
Not immediately necessary, though, as we're re-doing some parts of the room this year - once we've found a reliable workman - grrrr
I also get twitchy, tibawo, when something on eb@y has a bid placed on it - and even more so when the item has finished but no payment has been received! I like to do as few trips as possible to PO, so I much prefer it if they all pay quite swiftly. Hardly ever works out that way, though - and I seem to have had more non-payers towards the end of last year
DS2's room is starting to be redecorated next weekend. That means moving everything bar his bed out of the room (and maybe the large bookcase) - he can sleep in DS1's room whilst his is being painted. ALL contents will be examined for joyfulness by myself and DS2 before reentering the room (the exception being Leg0 - as that all brings joy, so will go back in en masse) and a place will be found for everything! This is what happened with DS3's room and it is SO much better for it. Am guessing (hoping!!) that lots of kipple will emerge for recycling/ binning/ passing on (small toys are great for Op Xmas child) That's my main km project for the Easter hols. May also achieve some random items as I go along - and am still working on paperwork - which seems never ending....

Having a little rummage in my two card tins, and have got the card sets all together in one tin and am going to put the random cards in the other.
By card sets, I mean sets of beautiful blank cards and envelopes which you can sometimes pick up at the chazzer for £1 - £1.50 for about 20 cards in A4 cardboard folders. I've been a bit of a one for doing this in the past and have the remnants of 6 sets (3 floral, 2 artist and 1 of birdies). Luckily, I've had the wit to keep a bit of paper with each set with notes of who and when I gave each kind of card to, so that there is no danger of duplication.:rotfl:
I've been disciplined about not buying any more of these sets (oh and have I been tempted, darlings!), although they are often beautiful and excellent value for money. Have decided that there are a few non-set cards which I bought cheaply at chazzers and can't see myself sending to anyone, so will turf them out for the chazzer bag. They are all cellophane wrapped so should be easy to sell.
I've found what I was looking for (card for relation) which I will take via family post at Easter for an early-April birthday, and another card for a friend for a mid-April birthday.
Have found a few gaps where I could usefully shop for a few cards for specific occasions/ landmark birthdays coming up, so I will keep my eyes open for them and buy when I see the right thing at a nice price.
Feel pleased that I have re-acquainted myself with what I own, and identified a few gaps.:oEvery increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Good morning all, lots of great kondoing happening.
friday I co-opted OH to come into town on the bus with me (cannot park anywhere near favoured CS) and we took 3 large bags of books, household items and a couple of toiletries.
I have earmarked a couple of coffee makers and a grill to go to the local furniture re-cycling charity tomorrow.
I have been laid low with "a digestive disturbance" for a couple of days and stayed home, makes for 2 no spending days by me and the only things entering the house with OH being newspaper and milk:D, feeling a little brighter today, so may have a massive trying on session of summer clothes, I expect 75% to be too big. It is in cases and plastic crates in room of doom, and would be lovely to start to see make headway there:)The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

Have a good Sunday all

Hi to everyone, including newbies.
Bit more stuff gone this week, including my beloved hardly worn boots (that I cannot get into), and has been a real 'sticker' on the KMing. Thanked them loads of times and gently put in CS bag. A huge step for me.
I am regularly re-tidying stuff these days, and bits are CS/recycled/rubbished all the time. Feel rather good about it, and the space appearing on surfaces and in drawers/shelves/cupboards.
Thanks everyone, you keep me motivated, and take care.

I have recently kondoed my magazine collection. I had loads of food magazines so I cut out all the recipes I wanted to keep and the rest has gone into the recycling. I also had loads of Rabbit RWAF magazines. I advertised them on the free Facebook pages and they went to a good home this morning. I had every issue since 2012 and so did not want to give them up before, but something has gone ding in my head and I was now more than happy to let them go.
All I need now is something pretty to keep my recipes in, any ideas?

I'm considering getting rid of the coffee table in the living room, have replaced it with a storage unit which can lie on its side as a long (and somewhat sleek) 'coffee table'. I've put it in place and will wait a few days before deciding for sure. The storage items came out neatly and went back in neatly - the miracle of kondoing!!
Oddly the room looks both bigger and smaller now:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0
