Still feeling rubbish. Back to the doctor tomorrow morning. My boss has told me to stay off tomorrow, but I've got a feeling I'll get signed off again anyway.

Spoke to my doctor on the phone in the end as my blood test results haven't come back yet. I'm seeing her at 4.20 tomorrow. She has extended my sick note to cover yesterday and tomorrow.

Have to say I feel a bit better. Although I am nebulising a lot of saline at the moment to keep my lungs clear. It's taking me 3-4 hours a day to do, but at least I'm able to do some other stuff and am not confined to the sofa. Not sure I'd be able to keep that up if I was at work though (especially in the evenings).

Had a slightly productive morning. Completed a survey for £30. I've done a couple for the same people and got £20 each for those. They pay into my bank account, so should get that within the next week.

Finally put the £30 cheque into my bank and I claimed £10 on Lucky Phone yesterday, which I've already received.

Going to try and tackle some surveys this afternoon whilst watching the tennis (if it's not rained off again).

They have finally decided I've got a chest infection. Don't know why they couldn't have figured that out before. My blood test came back normal, so nothing to worry about there. I'm on stronger antibiotics and have been signed off for another week. Got to see the doctor again on Tuesday.

Am going to try and earn some extra money whilst I'm off (but won't overdo it!). Want to get my mum's Argos card paid off (OH's PS4 is on there). I'm putting all the extra bits I earn into a savings account. Hopefully I can leave it there and won't have to resort to using it. OH gets paid 2 weeks tomorrow, so I'll withdraw whatever is in there then and give it to my mum.

So far I've got the £30 cheque and the £10 from Lucky Phone. I'm also waiting on the £30 survey payment and 25p from TCB.

  • Hi Emz

I'm glad you're feeling a lot better now:j. Great results on the money-making too:T. You put the rest of us to shame as you never let anything, even illness, put you off:A

Sorry I haven't been around for a while. Internet connection has been very unreliable plus I've been doing a few days of rural delivery work. Tried to do as many hours as I was up to each day (sore feet being the main problem:eek:) in case of torrential rain on other days. Only got soaked once so mustn't grumble;).

Great to see Andy do well at Queen's. Well, I didn't exactly 'see' it, I was out working most of the time, but you know what I mean. Nice to see Lendl back in his camp, a good sign for Andy's Wimbledon success:T

    Take care of yourself xxx

    Hi everyone :)

Sorry I haven't posted for a bit. I'm now feeling much better than I was. I'm back at work now (worked 3 hours Thursday and 6 hours Friday). I've got more energy and my chest feels back to normal (for me anyway).

Unfortunately, the £70 I had saved towards the PS4 had to be used. OH had to pay out for a hotel stay and meals for work. He has claimed them back, but didn't want to look like he couldn't afford to book it in the first place.

He gets paid Friday, but we've been struggling this past week or so because of this. I sold a broken phone and tablet for £50, which we've mainly used for top-up shopping and petrol.

There's £35 in the account to last until Friday. I won £10 on JPJ yesterday, which I withdrew. That will be with me on Tuesday, but that's also my uncle's birthday, so I'll have to put that £10 into a card for him.

I put £20 petrol in yesterday (last of the £50 phone money), so I'm hoping that will last until Wednesday. I can then fill the car up, as the money won't come out until Friday.

Now that I'm feeling better, I want to set some goals to achieve by the end of July. I WILL get them done this time :
    1. I still owe my sister £40 worth of Amazon vouchers from my mum's birthday present back in April.
    2. I need to start paying off the PS4 I got OH last year on my mum's Argos card. It needs to be paid by the end of August.
    3. The chinchillas need a bigger cage, so I want to get one with Amazon vouchers (after I've paid my sister back).
I'm going to put aside £14 a day into my savings account for the first 25 days of July, to cover the PS4. So I'm not tempted to spend it, I'll withdraw it in lots of £100 and give it to my mum.

At work tomorrow for 6 hours. Luckily I finish at 8, so I can watch most of the football.

We're off to see Independence Day tonight (obviously not costing us anything). Will do us burgers out of the freezer before we go so we're not tempted by McDonalds.

The petrol didn't last, so I've had to put £10 in this morning. That will come out on Thursday. OH forgot his sandwiches yesterday, so he had to get £10 out to buy some lunch . He says he's got £6 of it left. I MADE him take his sandwiches today, but I bet he still buys something.

So, that leaves us with £15 in the account (JPJ money received and put in my uncle's card as planned) and around £3 in my purse.

Can't wait until Friday. Need to buy some stuff for the Chinchillas and Degus. They've got food, but I ran out of treats for them on Sunday, so they are seriously not impressed with me right now.

Waiting to watch Andy Murray's first match :)

    I hope you're feeling a lot better health-wise today, Emz:j

I know exactly how it feels to be relying on a purse full of loose change until the next payday, and fervently hoping some money will turn up from somewhere before it runs outEmz:o. You can do it! We've every faith in you:A. Trust blokes to put a spanner in the works though, eh;)?

Your pets are going to get fed so no worry there. Going without treats for a few days won't hurt them. My cat looks at me very reproachfully (or am I just imaging it:rotfl:) when I don't have any treats for him. They're not even treats as such, just teeth-strengthening crunchy things but they must taste good as he wolfs them down:).

Looks as if Wimbledon will be very wet today:(. Ferrer is second on one of the minor outside courts so no chance of BBC televising that one:mad:. Looks as if he's scheduled to meet Djokovic in the 3rd round so probably I'll get to see that one although I don't have much hope of a successful outcome:(

    Hi CBC :)

I am feeling a lot better now, thank you.

I hope you get to see Ferrer play a match at some stage. I don't see why they can't put all the televised courts on the red button. I'm currently watching Heather Watson, but looks like they are just coming off due to the weather.
