I did go into work on Tuesday, but wish I hadn't. I've been to the doctor today and have been signed off for a week. They think I've got a throat infection. They've done some tests to see if it's viral or bacterial. At least I don't have to worry about work for the next week. Just feel so lethargic and have zero energy.

Sorry to hear you are feeling so ill but at least now the Doc is on the case you might get something to clear it up quicker than letting it take it's course.

Make sure you get lots of rest (and watch plenty of tennis if your nerves are up to seeing Andy dicing with death in all his matches:().

Feeling a bit better today. Hope it lasts. Had a decent night's sleep last night and haven't had a headache for the past 2 mornings. I'm not due back to work until Saturday, so still time to rest before then.

Our new sofa is being delivered tomorrow morning :j. The old one was taken to the tip by OH and his mate today. I tried to give it away, but nobody was interested.

I have been watching the tennis, one of the good things about being off sick at the moment ;) (although I will be working on the day of the final :(). Shame it's a wash out today.

When I go back to work, I will ask about dropping my hours. I must therefore find some way of making up the money from home. I estimate I'll lose around £160 a month if I drop down to 12 hours. Want to eventually quit altogether and start working from home again. It was better for my health (and weight!!).

Good news that you're feeling a lot better now:T

I was gutted that the tennis was rained off for the whole day:mad:

At least it's on Freeview all day (ITV4) so I would normally have been able to watch (we don't have Sky etc). Unfortunately we've got the builders in although the worst of the noise and mess was finished on Friday. They needed the electricity switched off for a lot of the time. They aren't back after the long weekend until tomorrow so I was relishing a nice relaxing day of tennis-watching today. Ferrer was scheduled to play too so I was delighted, although they never bother to show his matches. We just get to see him serving for the match. Oh well, that's life:(

Doesn't look much better there today CBC. Djokovic got a set played (which he lost) and then they came off court again. At least Wimbledon is just around the corner, and you know you'll get to see Ferrer because they cover all the courts :).

Another day without painkillers, think I'm turning a corner with this illness thing (whatever it actually is!!). Woke up with a painful back though. Either slept funny or something is going on in my lungs. I hope it's the former!!

Lots of waiting around today. Parcels being collected and someone coming to buy OH's wheels from his old car. Sofa has already been delivered. It's okay, not as comfy as I thought, but I think maybe it just needs breaking in. Still, OH and I will both be able to stretch out on it (corner sofa).

I am finally feeling better now. Managing to sleep and haven't had a headache for ages. I'm even back at work. I managed to do 6 hours on Saturday and yesterday and felt fine with it.

I haven't dropped my hours yet and will see how I get on before doing anything. I'm not taking on any overtime, so will just stick to my 18.5 hours. I do want to try and hold on to this job if my health lets me. We're getting a pay rise in April next year to £8.50 an hour. This means I'd be getting around £70-£80 a month more. Plus we're getting a little bonus next month. I think it's £115, which isn't bad considering I'm only part-time.

I've made another payment off the CCJ, so inching closer to sub £8k now.

I've got a few things I want to try and achieve this month, considering last month was a complete write off because of my health:
    1. I still owe my sister £40 worth of Amazon vouchers from my mum's birthday present back in April.
    2. I need to start paying off the PS4 I got OH last year on my mum's Argos card. It needs to be paid by the end of August.
    3. The chinchillas need a bigger cage, so I want to get one with Amazon vouchers (after I've paid my sister back).
I was thinking with the PS4 money, I'll put aside any extra money I can earn online and use that to pay it off. I've got a £30 cheque to put into the bank, so that's a start. I'm also very close to getting £10 from Lucky Phone. Would love to get it cleared by the end of the month.

Best get on, got a busy day.
