Thanks INOD - not sure about that though. OH has just announced that his parents are visiting next weekend. This means they expect takeaways, meals out and breakfast out too. We just can't afford it
Good job I didn't order those flowers as she wouldn't have been there!!

Can you be up front with them and explain that you cannot afford to eat out next weekend but are happy to cook a fake-away? Breakfast out:eek:.......toast with butter and jam if they came here:rotfl:"These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -

Thanks everyone.
Apparently, OH had a word with them yesterday when I was at work, and they're going to cook a meal here on Sunday (I'll be over at my mum's anyway). Didn't mention what was going to happen Friday night/Saturday morning/Saturday lunch/Saturday evening/Sunday morning, but there we go. We shall see what happens!!

Days until pay day: 9
Money in account: Don't ask!!
Money in purse: Don't ask!!
I've been busy with work over the past couple of days, so haven't had chance to come on here. I'm in tonight 4-8, off tomorrow, in Thursday 5-8 and then have 3 days off :j
Should have known we weren't going to last on that money. We put loads in for petrol for a start, which OH needs to get to the station so he can go to work.
I have found a way to get some more money to hopefully last us. OH's parents are always sending him back here with stuff to sell on their behalf. The last thing he bought back was their old TV. It has been in the garage for a month or so, but I have just sold it for £150 on Gumtree. We just won't tell them it has sold until OH gets paid next week. Bit naughty, but needs must.
Unfortunately, £70 of that is going to be used up by bills that need paying. So it's still going to be tight.
I got my mum's gift through, but the card is really rubbish. I might have to get one from the card factory.
Got another £15 worth of Amazon vouchers through. They will go towards the kid's Easter presents (don't spend much on them, but better than getting them eggs).

Days until pay day: 8
Money in bank: £113.52
Money in purse: £4.84
Roll on pay day!! All bills paid now, but the car needs petrol YET AGAIN!! I think OH must be drinking it!! Either that or he's just a really bad driver. I drove him to the station this morning, then drove to my mum's (around 30 miles in total) and I only used around 10 miles worth of petrol. That's what happens when you drive in green mode and stick to 60 on the motorway.
I got the Cinematrix money back in my account. Also finally received that £7.05 from selling those DVDs to We Buy Books.

God it's cold today. Brrr  - no snow here, but very chilly.
Was woken by OH's parents talking at 5.45am. They don't seem to have quiet voices as they were talking at their usual volume. They also woke me up at 3.50am doing the same thing. And 1.15am come to think of it. What with that and the snoring in between, I didn't get a good night's sleep.
Got the £5 M&S voucher through, so I'm going to get a card and some wrapping paper for my mum with it. A bit more expensive than Card Factory, but they do some lovely cards and I'll get my 20% discount on top. Plus paying with the voucher means I won't have to part with any money.

Sorry Buffy. I've been meaning to reply to you for the past week!! Even typed a reply out a few times, but never got round to actually finishing it.
We did make it thank you.
Not in prison yet, but we're going to see the in-laws tomorrow, so there's still time!!
More to follow....
