Sold the Gumtree item for £10 :j

Also had a call when I was at work for another item for £20. Left them a message and hoping they will call back tomorrow.

We did some shopping and spent £17. That included 2 pizzas for 50p each as we had £1 off coupons.

Days until pay day - 13
Money in account - £104.71 (£1 is on hold for some reason)
Money in purse - 12p (found 5p in the car)
Miles in the tank - 90 odd

OH took the £10 cash as he has to put some on his Underground card. He will claim it back, but won't get the money until he gets paid.

I had another person text for the £20 Gumtree item last night, so have replied to them.

I ordered my mum's present last night too (paid for with Amazon vouchers). OH then said about getting his mum something. It's just never ending :(.

Easiest thing to do for her is flowers. There are some on M&S for £25. With my staff discount, I can get them for £20. Opinion World do M&S gift cards - £10 for 1,000 points. I'm really not sure if I can get 1,000 points in time to get it ordered. Would need to order it at the beginning of next week really, Tuesday at the latest. If I sell that £20 Gumtree item, looks like the money might be used for this :(

I've got another 50 points on Lucky Phone. Only 140 points to go for £10. Might put my mum's mobile phone on there later so I can increase my chances of getting there quickly.

Selling the £20 Gumtree item today. The lady lives in the next road to my mum, so said I would drop it off for her. I'm going there anyway at lunchtime, and it helped to seal the deal.

    Thanks Light :)

Gumtree item sold, £20 extra in my purse. Rude lady though, practically shut the door in my face. No gratitude for taking the item to her. Won't bother next time

I've managed to get 275 points on Opinion World this morning, so only 725 to go. I really don't want to pay £20 for those flowers.

I've just claimed a £5 M&S voucher from My Survey. Not sure if I'll get it in time for the flowers, but if not, I can use it for my grandma's birthday next month.

That is a massive gap Ems.

    Bloody hell.

I had a dream that you won a car in a competition - enter all car winning comps!

Sorry Buffy, I thought I'd replied to you already

It has to be a premonition, so I'll start finding those car comps!!

Days until pay day - 12
    Money in account - £72.94
    Money in purse - £16.67

Checked my banking this morning and saw that I was down another £30 odd that I know I hadn't spent. Called the bank and was told it was £31.77 to Cinematrix at 9.30 last night.

Now I had a free trial with them to get some Swagbucks points ages ago. Cancelled it in time and thought nothing else of it (this was months ago). Tried to log into the website and said my account was inactive. Spoke to an advisor on online chat and she agreed that I shouldn't have been charged and my money will be back with me within 10 business days :mad::mad::mad:

    I need it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So the lesson here is NEVER do a free trial unless you want to get charged again months down the line

Couldn't have come at a worse time :(

  • If anyone can work round this, it's you. Can't believe what you achieve with vouchers once you put your mind to it.

Thanks INOD - not sure about that though. OH has just announced that his parents are visiting next weekend. This means they expect takeaways, meals out and breakfast out too. We just can't afford it :(

Good job I didn't order those flowers as she wouldn't have been there!!
