Evening everyone
So today I have sorted my clothes out
phew!!!
-now there is none of my washing in the ironing basket, OH does the ironing usually but I wanted to sort out all my clothes so made sure I had them all. I do still need to finish sorting the spare room and put the rest of the summer clothes etc not sure where I'll put them mind you...............................Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0 -
Sorry to hear about poorly pets
gentle hugs to them and their humans.
Currently battling with FIL laptop - it's been misbehaving so I'm doing some updates and hopefully will hand it back in a happier place tomorrow.
Kiddies are going to theirs tomorrow afternoon until Friday, so I'll be able to get the house de-christmased and back to "normal" tomorrow afternoon and hopefully start the new year feeling peaceful.
I also want to change my bedding tonight, if I don't fall asleep first. I need a better bedtime routine, I think.
Right, DS needs some supper so will go do him some cornflakes...Bossymoo

It's lovely to see so many different people joining or rejoining the thread. Welcome (back, as appropriate) one and all. Missing Dusty's posts; does anyone know if she's okay?
Valli, the cat milk idea is sheer genius and long may she enjoy it. Very sad that you know you're going to have to do 'the vet visit' solo, but you'll cope with it because she will need your help when the time comes. (((Hugs))) for you and the little cat.
Lamewolf, I imagine you're feeling a bit bereft after Jack's turn. (((Hugs))) for you. I hope the new-to-you dog is a joy for the time you're looking after him. Kelpie sends licks and wonders if you woud like a chew of his marrow bone to cheer you up. I told him you were veggie but he insisted I pass on the offer.
Dy$0n-dance this morning on the stairs and middle layer, more laundry things but I fear I will never, ever clear the backlog, lovely neighbour bought in some pretty little cupcake treats from a F&M she was given. They were very ... strange.Better is good enough.0 -
Really chuffed with how I got on today. All done in super quick time as I knew I was away from lunchtime. Hoping the house is as clean and tidy when I get home. First job will be to work out how to clean out the WM filters:
Tuesday - kitchen and dining room
Level 1
[STRIKE]Sort all the washing up / empty the DW? Am I the only one who constantly has something on my drainer?
Wipe down your large appliances
Run the WM / DW on a hot wash and[/STRIKE] clean the filters - just got to do the filters when we home again. The WM had finished its hot wash when we left but DW had a little while to go.
Level 2
[STRIKE]DR - wipe over the table - are you finished with christmas linen?
Any other surfaces to clear / wipe?
Wash a window[/STRIKE]
Level 3
[STRIKE]Back to the kitchen - pick a cupboard- empty it and wipe the shelves. Only put back what you need. Can anything be ditched? [/STRIKE]
Extras
Any laundry dried today? Put away what doesn't need ironing and sort the rest on to your piles left from yesterday - just a bit of underwear to sort out when we get home and the Xmas table cloth will need an iron before I out it away.

Thanks for that - I just bought one - she loved it so I need to get more. I won't restrict her to the recommended daily allowance but let her have as much as she wants, though I do need to make sure the other cat doesn't slurp it all; appreciate this Honey Bear as I never thought to ask the vet whether it was a good idea!
Have done lots of relocating/homing and have started cleaning up. DS asked what I was vacuuming as there was 'nothing there'. However, he is living in a student house which is, well, studenty so I don''t think his standards are mine :rotfl:
I just made him an omelette so that's got rid of the last of the bacon! Woot!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Good evening
Thanks for the info regarding the WM cycle clean, I really did think I was asking a thick question!! So I haven't done everything today as I was up at 0440 for a 12hr shift, by the time I've come home, walked the dog and made tea, I was exhausted but I did do all the daily stuff as well as some of today's items. If I can keep just that up I'll be happy:rotfl: Mind you my girls come back from their Dads tomorrow, I still can't work out how they untidy the whole house within seconds of walking through the door!!:p
Right bedtime for me as another early morning alarm call....

I'm sorry LW, big hugs to you
Well I managed to get lots done despite Ohs horrendous hangover. I have:
Made a scrumpy soup (8 lunches) out of the chicken bones. I've washed and hung up 2 x washing, dw has been on twice, I've made breakfasts and lunch for everyone, I went to tosco and got some YS bargains. Have been organised and bought 10 birthday cards, for the ones I always forget, will try and write all birthdays on the calender tomorrow. I was super good shopping, and picked stuff up but put it down again when I realised I didn't need it. I also made HM pasta and meatballs for dinner, rather messy to make, but thumbs up all round from everyone. Keep messing with tesco as trying to get my order under £50 for Next week to ten days.... Might go to sleep soon, am shattered!0 -
Evening all! Was going to go into work today to get some filing done (only day school is open over the holidays) but didn't sleep well and didn't fancy the drive in the rain when it wasn't necessary
Oh well!
Went to see Star Wars this afternoon

*Waving from beneath a mound of fragrant bath bubbles
Currently [STRIKE]wallowing[/STRIKE] bathing ON MY OWN, no kids or DH trying to muscle in on the act and I've had a good day. Remembering my grandma and all the naughty things she did during her lifetime, of which there were many, and it's made me smile. A lot.
Sorted out plan of action for the renovation works, had confirmation of an emergency payment on account by my insurers and had a look at some replacement furniture. A little bit of flying done - oh, who am I kidding...? I got some mousetrap and I did the washing up, oh, and the fibre optic tree was packed away. Just got to root out the peanut butter as I feel unable to willingly donate chocolate at this stage :rotfl:
Sorry to hear all the sad news about dogs and mogs. Hugs to all affected xxx Also, to anyone affected by the horrendous weather this week, or their loved ones - you have my deepest sympathy. Never a good time for bad news events, but it does make Christmas even more stressful.0 -
Hugs to all pets and owners.
I managed to finish a report today, and checked my tray to find with delight I have 4 left not 5 as I'd thought. At least one of them is more than half written, so all being well I can polish off 2 more tomorrow.
Apart from that, I've done too much slobbing in front of the TV and I keep recording stuff so it is a bit self-perpetuating.
I don't think we're due any drastic weather here tomorrow, but neither do I think it will be sunny like today which is a shame as there is lots of pruning and tidying to do in the garden.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0
