Two different issues and moaning about the silly one takes emphasis from the important one.
When you say a girlfriend - it isn't clear if this is your girlfriend or a girlfriend of someone else who lives in the house - However no-one in their right minds messes with someone else's laptop and if they are your GF you have every right to tell them where they get off- If however they are the GF of someone else in the house then you tell them very clearly how unacceptable this is.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

If the toilet roll is the wrong way round I need to change it no matter where
Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama

The laptop would really hack me off, I would have told her to restore it back to how is was ASAP and would have made it very clear that I was not a happy bunny.
As for the blinds? Really? that wouldn't have bothered me in the least.
I must confess though, I am that visitor who will turn your toilet roll around to flappy side over, sorry
Edit: cbrown beat me to it!!! :rotfl:Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
If you come here, I'll take the roll down and put up an Izal leaf dispenser!:rotfl:peachyprice wrote: »I must confess though, I am that visitor who will turn your toilet roll around to flappy side over, sorry

I would be having a serious word with son - maybe he asked his GF to "upgrade" the computer. That would be totally unacceptable to me. Could live with the blinds being moved though.
Love the thought about the Izal toilet paper - brings back childhood memories!

A generous interpretation is that if the girlfriend is not very computer savvy she might have ended up upgrading to W10 without really intending to - given the way Microsoft presents the upgrade I can imagine that could happen. Still infuriating though.
Years ago a guest broke the window catch in my bathroom, so that the window couldn't be fastened shut any more. I was pretty annoyed, though as my bathroom's on the 10th floor I've actually left it broken to this day.0 -
Thanks for all your replies. To be fair, son's girlfriend is lovely and she has been extremely helpful with the laptop in the past, son was there and so I think they thought they were doing me a favour, which normally they would have been.....but I don't think they knew I'd had problems after upgrading before.
The blinds thing - yes it is a minor thing of course, but it does annoy me. They're in the lounge and anyone can see perfectly well out of them when they are open. Why they even lean over the sofa to prise them apart, I really can't understand.
Anyway - enough of my moaning - life's too short to worry. Just don't come to my house and move the blinds!! Ha Ha xx0 -

I hate having tall people to stay, they move the shower head right to the top of the slider bar where I can't reach it . I have to call my husband to move it down for me :mad:Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20
