Just got a 25% reduction on our Mexican lunch due to them not having several of our choices and taking ages to serve our food. What we did eat was lovely and the skids were rushed down to the station in time, so all good. I've also been given a £10 voucher off our next meal, a £5 voucher to come and try their new menu in February and vouchers for a free breakfast and 25% discount off a meal during January.
And I didn't even have to say a word. Our poor waitress must have been trembling under my withering gaze :rotfl: £19.67 added to my wombling total today - I'll count the vouchers if and when I use them.
ETA - Small picked up 2p roadkill in the doorway on our way out. 'Atta boy!0 -

It's not mine I'm afraid but I am glad to pass it along its what they call zero sum budgeting I believe. So you set your budget with absolutely no free money. Therefore you know exactly what you have left in x budget if you make a saving. I know some people on other challenges who have an annual clothing budget and therefore if someone gives you clothes you can deduct from that pot and save.
Thank youI used to do a similar thing before of putting the money I would've spent buying lunch at work into savings and taking my own in

Wombled £2.50 at Kings Cross Station this evening. Cold, wanted a hot chocolate, dug in to my purse to find the money and instead found one of their loyalty cards which I'd filled up months ago but never got round to using. I like to complete them and then hang on to a card until I REALLY want a drink but don't want to spend the money, so I can still have something nice when I want to save. Handed that in and got my lovely hot chocolate for free.
Popped in to Tesco on my way home but couldn't womble any receipts as it wasn't busy and the staff were going straight over to tills to remove and bin left behind receipts, but I'll try again in the future!0 -
