Just back from the YhA in Sheringham (Norfolk) we had a 6 bed room for £33 a night including use of the communal kitchen/ lounge / tv room etc... so we arrived early on Wed and left yesterday. 5 minutes walk from the sea, the weather was lovely, the kids spent the entire time in and out of the sea, it is our first 'proper' holiday as I have been guilt-tripped into dragging them around family members for the last 12 years. The kids loved it - said it was the best holiday they had ever had, and did not mention an xbox or ds once. DH kept leaving his wallet in the room (family joke with me and the DS's - oh, left your wallet at home? So your father's son!)
However I am now Satan with the MIL as I did not take her DGC over to visit her.
So £99 for 3 nights ( 20% off)
Oh Foxholes that sounds so nice. Kids and water (supervised of course) is just a lovely combo." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Wombled 27 T0sc0 point on the way in to the supermarket and 33 on the way back out for next time.
Loads of YS bargains too. All a bit random - sparkling sake 34p, oat milk 19p, chinese dry sauce mixes 7p, thai chilli sauce 10p, sliced sandwich gerkins 30p a jar, nakd bites 34p etc, nothing you could make a whole meal with, but all stuff that will make a meal more interesting, or a lunchbox a bit more fun... back to school on Tuesday
And.... the MPTA came through - £200 thanks a lot -
and the tax rebate for himself too.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I just did a quick tot up and am only £90 off my wombling total of 2015 now. So fingers crossed I should overtake last year
I should do another proper roll call for everyone on the challenge to post their updates as it has been a while. Maybe I will wait to the 1st to do that.

I bought DS1 2x Manga prints with my survey earned Amazon vouchers for his new blue bedroom, but I have been looking for some frames for them, but they were all ridiculous prices, upwards of £25 each because of the size, and I thought that was just too much..........
Soooo yesterday, I happened to be in town, on my own, as I had intended to go knicker shopping. I swear I don't know how, but with all the decorating going on, I seem to have emulsion speckled over just about everything, and I don't own any underwear I would feel comfortable being hit by a bus wearing, iyswim:o, so I went off into town to rectify this.
However I am a totally rubbish shopper unless it involves a bargain. I can leave the house with £100 in my pocket to buy clothes, and return 6 hrs later minus the bus fare and the price of a cup of coffee.. Ho Hum
Yesterday was the closing down sale at BHS, and there was a big sign in the window saying
EVERYTHING £1 OR LESS
There didn't seem to be anything in there! But some people were wandering around, so in I went and indeed there was practically nothing left, all the shop fittings were dismantled and there were a few cardboard boxes scattered around the place, and I thought, ooff, nothing in here and turned around to go out and spotted some clip poster frames up against the back of a column, so I sorted through them, trying to find the nicest ones and bought two and took them back to the car, plus 5 cravats for the DSs in case anyone foolishly invites us to a wedding, a Moomins dvd without a case, an EE sim card and a suspender belt- so £3.60 all in.
Brought the posters down this morning and 2 minutes with some fabric glue spray that we had lying around, and I have two excellent framed prints ready to go up on DS1s bedroom wall, and I have saved myself £24 + PP each on them.
Total physical cost to me in real money £2 -
without wombling it would have been £70
Total saving of £100+:T but only managed to find one bra that fitted (reduced to £9) but at least I know my size now.
And I cut the front hedge myself today £04/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
