    Out in the morning to visit cousin and her 6 month twins.

    Evening is couch, pjs, Pizza Hut delivery and a couple of J20's (can't drink).

    Bliss!

    We were going to a neighbours party (well, half a mile away,) for a knees up til 2am. But me and the lady missiz have caught a bad cold, and have been feeling proper rough these past 3 days (cough, chesty, bad throat, and generally feeling poorly bad. :( ) Not 'dying' and OK enough to go for a walk and pop to the shops for half hour, but feeling a bit rough.

    So it's looking more and more like we will be staying in with a Chinese takeaway, a bottle of port, and Trading Places. Our daughter who still lives at home (when she not at uni,) is away for a few days and isn't back til the 2nd.

    Oh well, we went out the last 4 NYE's, I guess it won't hurt to spend one in. :)
    You didn't, did you? :rotfl::rotfl:

    Same as every year; staying home and playing computer/console games til 23:55; switching the tv on long enough to hear Big Ben and see in the New Year, then calling it a night.

    I don't do gatherings at the best of times; and we shall have a canine guest staying with us and I have no idea how he feels about fireworks, so we'd need to be here for him in any case.
    If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • I'm not a fan of new years eve really, too much pressure to go out and party and it's always a bit of a let down. I'd happily stay at home and finish off the Christmas food while watching a movie, but my oh wants to go out. We've recently moved to a new town and I don't know anyone here so I'm not looking forward to it.

    This year just staying in, watching TV and having some 'party' food for dinner. Usually go out but I can't drink as I'm pregnant and not 100% sure I'd make it past 12 if I went to a party so a quiet one with a tonic water I think.

    Staying home to save money. Did the same last year. Just went to the (budget) gym for an hour or so, bought rose and nibbles at Lidl then home. Yesterday I dialled in to a free webinar where we did goal setting for the year. I've had a chilled Christmas week, lots of yoga, gym, reading, films and meditation. And nice baths!
    Happy New Year to all! This year I am to become debt free.

  • Same here - weather is atrocious and our lane is flooded. We were going to wander around the village and drop in on various friends as per their invites, but we've all agreed to pull up the drawbridge, enjoy whatever decent Fizz you have and eat the nibbles we made earlier. We will toast friends before we retire to our comfy bed. Regardless of what's on TV, we promised ourselves we'd watch the Royle Family episode of 'The New Sofa' which has become a Christmas tradition since they filmed it, what, six years ago?
