We'll be at home playing the board game Zombies. It's become a New Years Eve tradition.0

We'll have my OH's little boy for the weekend, so it'll be a night in for us. We have a magnum of Lanson Rose all ready to see in the New Year! :beer:0

We are staying in to look after a neighbours lovely dog whilst they go out for the night. They will collect him the following morning with a hangover no doubt. But we will be hangover free.

Pub down the road.

They always have a party and have free nibbles for all. Well sort of free... the locals bring stuff in. (I will be taking in 50 sausage rolls and 50 mini sausages.) They regularly have a lock-in til 2am ish and a disco. It's fab.
I always went out on NYE up to my mid 20s, but then had about 12-13 NYE's going to bed at 10-11 ish and being unable to go out, with having 2 young kids, but now they are a bit older, we have been able to get out on NYE this past 3 years, and have enjoyed it immensely.

I hate going out for NYE! all that false 'bonhomie'! and kissing strangers! Yeeuuuch!
OH will go out with friends - come home legless, by which time I will be tucked up in bed fast asleep. having had a nice Chinese takeaway, watched something that I like on tv for a change, had fun on MSE. yeah tame by some standards but it suits me.
I just don't GET the fuss that's made, never have. so the date changes! so what? it happens every year!0 -
Taking DH (and DD) on an epic surprise holiday to celebrate his 40th birthday. :j:j:j:j:jTrying to be a man is a waste of a woman0

I have no interest in going out on NYE - too expensive, too busy, can't get a seat or a drink quickly/easily, can't get a taxi home (and definitely not for a reasonable price), and places that are normally free to get in charging £10+ entry fee.
If I wanted to be social, I'd rather have friends/family over or go to someone else's house. But we'll just be staying in; have a nice dinner, watch some TV, relax.0 -
