Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
We go out about 8 to our local (lovely) pub. By the time we are leaving about 9 ish, the glam crowd start to arrive and it is great fun watching all the fashionistas and the glam for THE PARTY!.

Then we escape and let them at it. Having enjoyed the fashion parade! Great fun.

Black tie event at a local restaurant, with friends. It will have all the traditional bits. I am not that keen on those bits.

We have been living in "interesting times" and looking forward to new beginnings. Better to be amongst freinds.
  • Last nye did nothing. The previous 6 nye I was in relationships, so we'd stay in get a takeaway and watch tele.
Can't remember the year or two befure that. But the years befure that I'd go out with couple mates. One has got quite boring and old befure his time and started a family and I lost touch with the other couple.
Some friends don't drink and I've got in contact with that crowd. Not sure what they do. I think they go out to eat so I'd be up for that.
There's mlre social aquaintances - may see what they do.

But just as with the media driven pressure and hype with Christmas, I'll happily let nye come and go like a boring sod.

    I like people watching too:j
Don't you feel you're missing out not staying on to party with the glamouristas?

I've been invited to a party - small (I hope) and will be a sleepover so I can have a couple of drinks. Kiddies will be with granny and gramps...

Not heard 'gramps' in a while :rotfl:
    West Country saying?
  • I forgot - I booked myself a vacation the following week. So I'll probably plan my itinerary and read lonely planet and get all churlish

Takeaway with my parents and sister, probably a few games of yahtzee or scrabble, then home to bed well before midnight. It's just me and the cat this year and I'm so happy about that! :D

I won't be doing anything NYE, same as always. I've had enough of celebrations by then (actually, I've had enough of them now!) so will be staying in and will probably be in bed by 11.
