Yes - her acid reflux kicked off big time.

peppa- bet you are itching to see him on Monday x I suddenly get the decorating bug on me- then I spend the next two weeks regretting it lol.

I was never really aware of the Bay City Rollers- obviously wasn't a 'cool' kid!

Pinksteps- carp is a wonderful thing in this instance x Its lovely you are looking forward to Christmas after your recent events x

Chrissy- oh no- that a shame you DD didn't go- still theres next time and hopefully the hospital from hell wont throw a spanner in the works again x

Dolly Rocker- WELCOME!!! as Peppa says awe are all Christmas nuts although we are quiet on here at the mo.

Free- yup- freezing here too! Ive had a thick jumper on and was tempted to put the fire on. The sun came out for an hour or so this afternoon but its been pretty cloudy really- one of those warmer out than in days x

Nothing Christmassy here but we have added to our little menagerie - we now have a beautiful little grey bundle of fluff kitten that the kids have called Mylie. She wont ever replace my little cat that I lost a while ago but she has brightened us up considerably . No doubt we will see her character emerge over the next few days but she is already shaping up as a little darling!

    take care everyone x

Afternoon everyone, i am quite shocked out of the blue my gp called me this morning to find out how i am feeling still, my second lot of bloods apparently are still showing inflammation/infection??? I wasnt even told they were the first time :( and when i told her the date of the hospital appt she wasnt happy and has now made me an urgent referral, i am quite petrified now!! But i keep telling myself it needs to be sorted out and i need to feel better again! My sister text me the funeral details this morning and then proceeded with short snappy texts saying she had obviously p***** me off because she hasnt seen me for two years, (its actually 19 months) see this is why i just keep out of it, she hasnt contacted me at all in that time, surely both people are to blame, either can contact the other person why does it always have to be ME being funny/ignoring??? Oh gawd i hate families  Sorry i just had to rant to someone other than the poor kids.

MURIE aww how did last night go with DS feeding Mylie through the night? I am so glad she/he has lifted your spirits

It's so weird, you've all been going on about the cold rainy weather, but where I am we have had glorious sunshine & it's so lovely and warm. It's been anything between 17-20 degrees here!

Hi Dolly - they're all lovely on here, you will love it. It really starts moving fast from around October & they all have so many great ideas :)

Ok I've kind of done something Christmassy. I've booked for us to go to center parcs just before Christmas. I can't wait! I've told my OH I've booked it but what I haven't told him is I've splashed out a bit and booked a nicer lodge, with a games room and hot tub. I was going back and forth between the cheaper lodge and this one, because usually on holidays we don't spend much time in the room/villa, but when we have been to CP before in the past we have always gone in December and because it's cold we tend to spend a lot more time in the lodge and only venture out to have a walk, go swimming and go for food, so I thought it would be a nice treat to have the upgraded lodge. I want to keep it as a surprise for my OH and daughters but I hate keeping secrets so don't know if I'll be able to keep it from my OH for very long.

Also I realised yesterday that I said I haven't really done anything in preparation for Christmas but that's actually not true because I have been putting money aside every month for Christmas and I've also been saving all my amazon vouchers. So yay me!:j

Chrissy - I hope your daughter gets the treatment she needs soon and starts to feel better, it's horrible when they're unwell isn't it :(

Pinksteps - sounds like you have a lovely Christmas to look forward to this year. I hope your son has cleared all his boxes before then :rotfl:

Peppa - I'm glad i'm not the only one who thought the feathers and fur thing sounded like something saucy :rotfl:

Free - families can be a nightmare sometimes cant they! I hope you get some sort of truce between you and your sister, sometimes people do wrong but are in denial about it so prefer to put the blame on the other person. Maybe when she sees you at the funeral she might mellow a bit & realise that it does go both ways and she could have contacted you in those 19 months, so hopefully will put all differences aside.

    xx

CHRISSY so sorry to hear DD couldn't go after all, she sounds like a real trouper so hope she bounces back. It must be horrible for her being let down with appointments so no wonder she had a reaction to it.

MURIE your education has been sadly lacking, the Rollers should be part of everyone's history (even those of you probably not really old enough to remember them lol). Trust me nobody could possibly be less cool than I was - or should that be am? Mylie sounds gorgeous and I'm very jealous. We lost Tara our seventeen year old kitten about five years ago now but I still miss her. Can you post a pic? I know I've done it before but can't remember how now.

MONEYMISSION it was the first thing that sprang to my mind. I must admit it was quite a relief to find out what it really is although it did put FREE in a different light for a while lol.

FREESPIRIT I'm so glad your GP has now been proactive. Don't let it stress you, it doesn't mean it's anything to worry about but you certainly shouldn't have to suffer how you have been so hope this kickstarts a proper recovery plan for you. Sorry to hear about the texts - do whatever feels right for you and your own family, you're the ones that matter most.

Well, another dull and not at all spring like day here but at least it's been dry. Had DGD yesterday evening and overnight and she went home this afternoon. It was lovely, I've missed her so much as I usually have her for half terms and quite a bit in the hols. She's seven and we had a lovely time colouring together, digging and planting in the garden and painting the planter DH made. Bless her she's lovely company. Unfortunately we also had to watch numerous Shopkins videos on You Tube but you can't have everything lol.

Now for the big news - I started two Christmas pressies today! I bought two lovely metal ice buckets from Home Bargains and I'm going to put Prosecco and some other bits in one for honorary DD and wine and bits in the other for my sister. Yay, I've started at last. Not too long now til Christmas in July, hope we get some better weather before then!

Here's a picture Of Bailey as I think she/he will be called from here on in. Her eye is a bit crusty in this picture taken Wednesday when we brought her home but its fine now.

It seems that Mylie may not be the best name for our new addition as there is some debate over whether she is a boy or girl! Bailey is unisex so thats the way we are going at the mo- although DD is at work so we cant make it a unanimous decision til she gets in! She (the kitten not DD!) slept through last night so DS didn't have any issues with her.

Free- the sooner you see the specialist the sooner you will start to get better! Shame on your GP for taking so long to become proactive in the first place. As far as your family- let them squabble between themselves, you don't need any more crud in your life x

Peppa - the only thng I really remember about the rollers is that my friend Pauline liked them and always had a tartan scarf wrapped around her wrist. I think the fact that she had a tortoise had more of an impact on me than the rollers lol! I am definitely not cool!

Money Mission- that's a good idea to upgrade to a bigger lodge. I love the idea of a hot tub!

Hope everyone enjoys the weekend, take care xx

Peppa- she is isn't she? Nothing like the ginger cat called Big Dave that I had in mind when we were considering getting one!! Mind you I was determined that we had a medium size dog when we had Ruby- and the dog we got is more Hound of The Baskervilles proportions!! Just goes to show that they 'pick' us not us when the time comes not the other way round.
