Free- I agree with Peppa, saying goodbye is a personal thing that you and your kids can do without having to go through the whole family issue thing x The fat that you are doing it not when you do it that's important to both you and your aunt x
On the health front, just try to take one day at a time, don't rush and don't take no for an answer when you start to come to decisions as to the best way forward. If AD's help then have them, you would take painkillers for a headache without guilt, this is the same thing . Oh, and try not to watch programmes about the Bay City Rollers....xxxx (insert a cheeky face here)lovin' this site!

Horrible weather here today - rain, rain and more rain. The littlies have gone to do the Gruffalo Trail today so really gutted that the weather isn't better for them. DD sent me a pic of the two boys (4 and 2) in their Gruffalo t-shirts - they look so gorgeous I have to keep looking at it. They've taken my DGD (7) as well - she's a mini Essex girl so not sure how she's going to feel about being out in the rain lol.
Doing some hobby stuff today as not nice enough to go outside and have got the fairy lights on and the little light up tree - feels very Christmassy, might have to watch a festive filmIt's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -

Sorry i have been away again for a few days but same old same old, still not well, it was going great then saturday morning i woke up and had to run to bathroom  and the rest of this weekend havent felt well enough to go out, nearly got brave and went to cinema with DD1 today as she has some free tickets but my body had other ideas so still sitting here. It has been so cold here i could really put the heating on but my purse says NO!!! I had some very sad news last night as my aunty who i was very close to when i was a kid was found dead by her carer in her sheltered living flat yesterday morning, its so so sad and i really regret not making more of an effort for her in the last few years, needless to say i am very emotional at the moment, but what really grated was being told by text by my sister, i know i am estranged from my parents but has communication got so bad these days that a personal phone call cant be done in these circumstances??? And then when i asked if she could please let me know funeral arrangements she was horrified that i wanted to go, just because i am "not included in the family anymore" so the kids and i are going to take flowers, wait for them all to go and go and pay our respects and lay flowers after they have all gone, i just havent got the mettle for family feuds at the moment! I feel so nearly down on my knees i am thinking of going back on my ADs, i was crying at the Bay City Rollers last night fgs! It just made me think how happy and carefree i was at that age and how long ago it all was, i think this turning 50 business is playing on my mind more than i thinkAnyway this is why i havent been posting, it has turned into a rant and i dont want to come on here every day and bring you all down! Still reading though, you arent getting rid of me that easily :rotfl:
So sorry to hear your sad news Free and to hear how sad you feel at the moment. If you're not sure whether to go back on your AD's, could you stagger them a bit, maybe take one every other day? Or does that not work for you? My OH tends to take his every other day but tries to do some form of exercise on the days in between.
I was watching EastEnders the other day, the episodes where Peggy Mitchell came back in to it, and it made me feel a little bit sad, maybe a bit nostalgic really. Since some of the older characters have started coming back (Cathy, Peggy, Grant etc) it has made me think about when I used to watch them with my Nan when I was younger. I know if she was still alive she would be enjoying a good natter about the goings on of Albert Square :rotfl:.
The weather has been so amazing this weekend. It was nice to be able to get outside and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. We got the paddling pool out on Saturday, which was so nice because we didn't even get chance to get it out last year due to the weather being so rubbish. It was nice to see the kids having fun splashing each other, not so fun when the splashes got bigger and soaked me :rotfl:
I've not done much in the way of Christmas shopping. I've ordered Fathers Day gifts today so they should be arriving soon. We're going on holiday at the end of June so I'm more focused on that really. I think once I'm back I will start to get in full on Christmas mode though, especially if the weather takes a turn for the worse.0 -
We have a little Robin that comes almost every day its like he's telling me Christmas won't be long.
I should be at work today but I've been up almost all night being sick so I'm going to spend the day curled up in front of the TV .
Hope everyone has a great BH.
I really hope you're feeling better now lovely?mrsinvisible wrote: »filling pots in the garden yesterday, then invited over the fence for a G&T and 'craic' (sp) .
yes, it is lovely seeing the baby birds get their wings.
We have 2 baby red squirrels, they were in the garden with mum or dad yesterday. Looked like they had just discovered their tails the way they were waving them about. stayed less than 5 minutes, but what a fantastic sight!
Nothing Christmas to report but l found myself humming last years thread title if that counts?
It really is magical to see wildlife right on your back step! Our garden is currently being done and we are planning to plant lots of edibles, it makes me think of you!freespirit66 wrote: »Afternoon everyone,

Of free, great big hugs to you my lovely. I am so, so sorry that you are going through this. How hurtful for your family to not use some compassion, even if you are estranged!
AD are only beneficial if you take them! Surely if it stops the black dog from digging his claws in further then it's worth it?
Sorry I've been AWOL lovelies, with this ( . Y . ) feeding malarkey I found I had time on my hands and stupidly got re-addicted to Facebookits worse than pinterest for sucking time and it generally makes me feel a bit down, so I'm taking a break from it again and will hopefully be posting regularly again!

Morning ,
Felling much better I think my anxiety got the better of me , I'm nervous about DD's operation which the hospital from hell have put back a week !. We only found out because I emailed asking for information, so obviously it caused DD to have a meltdown.
Nothing Christmas wise as I have just ordered a new sofa so will pay that off asap. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Thanks lovelies! We are in some kind of muddled routine finally! Little Miss is a lot better since the changes in my diet, but her temper is still a sight to see!
DH had a special heart rate tracker fitted in his chest last Friday and he is still very sore and black and blue! We are waiting on an appointment for him to have his heart nerve endings burnt off, quite daunting!Morning ,

Big hugs to you and DD. It is so rotten when they do that, you spend ages gearing up for the op, only to be let down!
It will be a very quiet one in the feisty house today as little my has had her 4 month jabs this morning and is feeling very sorry for herself. Lots of cuddles with mummy, whilst mummy desperately tries to do one handed laptop 'work'.
A possible mention on the Christmas front, my cousin is looking after my businesses while I'm on ML and she's currently doing cake toppers, I best bend her ear into designing Christmas ones! She's had the bright idea of giving away the demo ones after they've been photographed, so I will make sure my Christmas nuts get first refusal on any festive ones![/COLOR]2024 Challenges

Afternoon everyone, i have just been very naughty and ordered a pair of prescription sunnies from :money:email, DD1 booked me a Feathers and Fur afternoon for Mothers Day and we have had to book it for the middle of August and i cant do sunshine without sunnies on but i know i will need my glasses for it, i hope they are ok and i like them, its not like you can try on in opticians on high street
PEPPAPIG oh im glad someone else is from my sort of time regarding bands etc i imagined everyone on the thread thinking who the heck are they?? It was the fans singing the B-A-Y B-A-Y B-A-Y C-I-T-Y with an R-O-DOUBLE L E-R-S BAY CITY ROLLERS ARE THE BEST that set me off :rotfl:
do you remember that?
CHRISSYG oh gawd sending you both lots of hugs, how flaming annoying and to not be told  its horrible when you get yourself all het up for a certain date/time and then have to wait even longer, hope you both feel better in yourselves very soon
FEISTY aww bless little miss, it does take time to get into a routine and all get used to each others likes and dislikes. Well she is taking after your name Feisty thenoh poor DH i hope he is getting lots of rest recuperating, it must be very hard on you looking after both of them, the next op doesnt sound very nice does it?
