No chemo this week after all. Had phone call from hospital this morning and yesterday's blood test have shown that my immunity hasn't come back up after the last round (it's 0.1 which apparently is very low) so they've booked me in to try again next week. I'm what they call neutropenic so I have to be extra careful now to avoid anyone with germs. Feeling pretty fed up really as I'm not good when plans are thrown out and this means I'll finish this at least a week later than I thought and also my non chemo week will now be my chemo week so where I've planned to do things I'll have to change arrangements. I'm making a fuss about nothing really but it feels better to vent a bit lol.
FEISTY your plan sounds like a good one. Keeping the little one in her routine is bound to help and you and DH will benefit from some baby free time.
FREESPIRIT that's typical, nothing for ages then everything all at once. Deep breaths, bite the bullet and make that phone call. Glad you've got confirmation of your appointment on 17th, I'll be thinking of you.
PEPPAPIG no you arent making a fuss about nothing, glad you could let off steam on here, when we have appts/plans/events and arrange things around them we sort of set them in stone, then when something is cancelled it just puts us out of kilter, and like you say you probably have had your heart set on the date when the treatment ends for a while now and your week free of treatment, it knocks us back a bit! Keep strong my lovely you are doing so well!#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -
Peppa- vent away, we all do it, and if it makes you feel a bit better then why not.....? I can understand your frustrations though x
Feisty- yup that's sounds like a good plan to have your MIL come to yours while you a date night x Its strange that we run some aspects of our lives with military precision when we have babies (such as bedtime routines etc.) that we cant deviate from even in a small way and yet other areas of our everyday lives are complete chaos (housework, dinnertimes ,sleep etc!).
Free- make the call xx Have you baked today? I haven't- too shattered from yesterday and its just too darn hot!
We are in the middle of a heavy dry storm- no rain but thunder and lightening galore. The atmosphere is so heavy everyone has a headache. I hope it clears before night as I don't think anyone will be getting any sleep.
Hope all is well with everyone xxlovin' this site!

Thanks FREE and MURIE, having this lovely group is such a help, not just because you're so supportive but also because it's so nice to be able to keep up with everyone else's lives. Now I'm not at work it's really helped me still feel part of something so thank you all.
Weather here has been warm today although not sunny until late afternoon. At least the storm yesterday gave the grass a good watering! It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Evening everyone, weather has been so close and heavy here today, the storm last night didnt clear anything! I have had on/off migraine threatening all day, so after some rain earlier this evening i am hoping it will feel better tonight. I earnt another £10 in surveys today so have ordered Thumper a little baseball jacket with big spiderman eyes on it for his birthday, i already have a first builders set for him that came today a bargain from £35 to £21 although i wish the delivery guy would knock and not just leave things on the step grrrr!
I am annoyed to say i havent been able to put any money away for christmas fund last month or this month, its just not going anywhere at the moment, so thank god for survey money bits here and there so i can get presents for the family.
PEPPAPIG i agree with you, i have always said this thread is my daily tonic and keeps me going!
MURIE i am so sorry i just noticed something while scrolling down that i didnt answer to the other day
you saying about using the pond when emptied as a burning area, yes that is a fab idea, i will remember that when we eventually get it emptied

Free- our Amazon delivery man left my parcel behind the wheelie bins last week- we were all in the house at the time! It cheeses me off cus he didn't even try to knock the door let alone wait for an answer! I know their deliveries are timed but it seems rude to me to not even try.
Surveys are a god send aren't they for those little bits and pieces. I have used mine for DDs birthday stuff etc recently which has helped a lot.
I've not been a regular poster (except for recently!) but I always try to read and keep mostly up to date. Its strange how we all feel to some extent that we are part of others lives even though we are all strangers who would walk past each other on the street. That's the power of the common nuttiness that brought us together- Christmas!
Speaking of Christmas I think that ours will be very different this year due to our change in circumstances but I will endeavour to keep as much to our routine as possible. Once DD's birthday is out of the way mid July it will be all systems go- my Christmas countdown today said 199 days to Christmas! Woohoo!lovin' this site!

Newthrift, yes, everyone is right get away and enjoy the sunshine, sorry for the need tho.
Peppa you vent away, my girl. As you say, you try to arrange things around the treatments, then something no one can predict throws it all to bagwash, grr. Still, you understand why the change was needed, and that always helps.
Feisty, some babies just don't need sleep!! but few teenagers are awake all night, so do what feels right for you and yours, and 'don't sweat the small stuff' hugs to you, being worn out for lack of sleep is no joke. I Agree with the others, health visitors give great advice and support, and l like mr Fs idea for date night.
Well, China countdown is on, yuan are ordered and airport transport is arranged. but yesterday was a plan 'B' day, as DSs car broke down due to the clutch failing. £300+ to fix. so l had to collect him and his friend from the middle of nowhere garage.
School run time, need to wake the teenager and get it ready to rock.0 -
Mrs I,always a spanner ready to be thrown in the works! How long does it take you to travel to China?
Fiesty,it will all come right in the end.My cry baby still doesnt sleep but he reads instead of crying these days ! ...and he lives in Canada.
Me n Mr V are still struggling with jet lag.His leg is still a mess but he is feeling a bit better.Hope you have flight socks Mrs I.
The ring I have had made is ready. It will be next week before I can pick it up as we have so much on at the moment.I said I would post a pic but the i t support is still in Canada. Can anyone talk me through how to post a pic please?
Peppa it will all be soon a distant memory, you are doing so well.xx
This thread is ace,I read for about 2 years before I posted. It helped me a lot when I finished work and lived in the sticks.I missed the general chit chat from colleagues.I love to hear the ups and downs of peoples lives. It is odd that we would walk past each other in the street.
I need to get my act together and go to the bank, laters Vx
ps went to giant tescs and couldnt find the cake/mug thing.Which section was it in?I looked in baking but perhaps they are elsewhere.:0 -
Ok so I have no hope of catching up – I have tried but I keep getting called away so I will have to start from here, sorry if I’ve missed any big news – hopefully I will catch up on that over time. I’ve just got five minutes now for a quick post!
Peppa our house it due to be finished Sep/Oct time and apparently it’s on track so here’s hoping! I am currently obsessed with interior design, I am looking at home magazines, catalogues, Pinterest, blogs and Instagram and getting loads of inspiration for decoration. Now I’m just trying to stop myself going on a massive spending spree to buy everything I see! I don’t blame you for being a little put out at your chemo week changing, I am the same, I’m not good at having to change all my plans! Hopefully you’ll get into your new routine quickly and you can rearrange any plans without too much stress.
freespirit we’re getting there, thanks for asking. I’ve met another mum who I’ve clicked quite well with which is nice, it’s a slow process but as long as I’m busy with playgroups etc then I’m ok. How are you and your family? I see you have hospital appointments so I hope they’re getting somewhere and can help you.
murie I like it that we all feel part of each others lives and we all have a shared love of Christmas, it’s another support network and a place to be free to waffle about Christmas all year! It’s helped me through some tough times too like when I had PND and during those days when Wiggle never slept!
Right, well I better be off as I need to get our stuff together before Wiggle wakes up from his nap as we're off swimming this afternoon. Hugs x0 -
Afternoon everyone, a very quiet day here today, another headache im now not so sure it is the closeness because today is fine i think i am stressing about next week, i am also picking at food every time i go into the kitchen  so MURIE no i havent done anymore baking because the way the peanut butter cookies are going down my throat i darent
MURIE oh it really annoys me, i dont even mind if they knock and walk away at least i can get it off the front porch, but to just leave it there is not doing their jobs properly! Yes it might only be £10 here £15 there but it does all help and amazon have such a big variety and choice of gifts for people i couldnt do without them! Are you still doing the Kate Spade theme? I cant wait to see your pics x
MRSINVISIBLE oh these things are sent to try us arent they!!! It couldnt have gone just up the road it had to be in the middle of nowhere!! How long have you got before you go?
VULPIX oh im sorry you are both still struggling with jet lag and MRV is still having trouble with his leg, i hope you both find relief pretty soon. I bet you are so excited to see your ring, i always use this link:
http://www.bearsland.co.uk/happychappy/
Hope it helps, thankyou i have just put the mug cake sachets on my list of things to do, had totally forgotten
PRINCESSKITTY oh how exciting i love the planning, decorating bit and buying of course!! Glad you are keeping yourself busy and have found someone you click with that is great news. Yes we are all ok thankyou, i have hosp next week so hopefully will find out what is going on

Free those cookies did sound verrry tempting though so I think you can be excused the odd one or two! Yes still on track for a Kate Spade theme- I still haven't made those table runners yet and not sure I will be able to before her birthday- I may just have to forget about hemming them etc (YAY!!) and get DH to cut the fabric to size. I am searching for some white wrapping paper with large gold spots so if anyone knows where I could get it from could they give me a shout please? Its to make wall rosettes.
Mrs I-Typical isn't it, whenever I have money earmarked for something too, one of mine needs a helping hand.I always tell them its a good job the Bank of Mom(and dad in this case) never closes.
Vulpix- your body clocks will get back to normal soon, hopefully Mr V's leg will too sooner rather than later. I noticed in Band M (if you have one) that they had the mug cakes for 39p . I use flickr for my pics.
Princesskitty- ooh the planning is the best part! Its nice that you've found someone that you get on well with. You are right, we do form a small support network for each other which is lovely. Enjoy swimming!
Enjoy the day everyone, take care xlovin' this site!
