FREE so sorry to hear about your trauma, it's amazing how we can have such a physical reaction to an emotional event. We had a huge storm last week which knocked out our phone and those of quite a few neighbours. Apparently one of the houses in our road had a lightning strike and it sort of bounced around. We've still got no landline as we're waiting for our new phone to arrive. My sister's conservatory flooded and she had to put a bucket in the fireplace to catch the water cascading down the chimney! I do hope your place dries out so you can be comfortable. What a shame about your wallpaper staining but just remember that it all feels so much worse right now because you're not feeling well and it doesn't take much to make everything feel totally overwhelming. Hang on in there, go to your hospital appointment and once you're feeling better in yourself you can assess what needs to be done. Sending you big virtual hugs xx

Afternoon everyone, i forgot to say yesterday i tried in my big tescos for the cake in a mug sachets and they didnt have them at all, seen as VULPIX cant find them either i am wondering if they were reduced and now discontinued :( shame because they were such a good stocking filler idea!

PEPPAPIG aww thankyou my lovely, i know i reacted the way i did because it was on top of stressing, but i really react to stress physically not just mentally its ridiculous the way my body reacts, i think in the old days i would be what they call a person who lives on her nerves. How are you feeling at the moment? I do think of you when i am at my most stressiest, and think how strong you are and coping in your situation!

VULPIX hope everything is ok, havent heard from you for a few days, i hope DH is feeling better!

Hi all, Free, sorry you are going through the mill at the moment, honestly, l sometimes wonder if the sh*tfall indicator sometimes gets stuck over one place. Hope it will get better after your visit to the medics, and that your experience there is positive.
Murie and PK sometimes l am embarrassed to admit that my job was in healthcare, my colleagues behaviour is so bad at times.
Collected DS2s car, my credit card is groaning, but sometimes it is the only solution. Still, most of it will be paid off before l get back from China. I am almost packed, yes, it would be nice to have room in the case to fill up with goodies to bring back, but DSIL always has a load of stuff she wants me to bring home (and store) for them. Not that l mind, theres plenty of room!!
l have just made a fool of myself, it is bin emptying day, so when l came in l checked my bins and found the general rubbish one hadn't been emptied, so l rang to ask why, and they said they would do it in the next 2 days. 'thank you' then 10 minutes ago the bin wagon arrives and.........empties all the bins on the road! oops, so l had to ring back and cancel and apologise.
l need to print off my boarding passes later today, so please say a hope it works for the printer! xx

Dd had her op today she was amazing although a little grumpy at having to get up at stupid o clock. It went well and we were on our way home at 12-30 she just has to see our nurse next Monday to get the clips removed and a post op check in 6 weeks then no more sheffield hospital appointments.

I think what annoyed md most about the young idiot at work was he kept saying he was fine to drive when he couldnt walk in a straight line .i tried to tell him that prison is full of people with that attitude who killed an innocent party because they were still over the limit but i know it was in one ear and out the other.

Hello, just had a quick read through.Bloomin strange weather at the moment, causing chaos here too.

Mr V,s leg has almost returned to usual size though he is still complaining of pain "in the veins".I have urged him to try to get a Gp app but he says he has gooogled it!

I am still feeling strange, well more so than usual.I am slowly adjusting to British night and day.I watched 4 recorded gardeners world progs at about 3am today.I get up so Mr V can sleep as he isn't well and he has to go to work at 5:30.I think it's an age thing.I can't remember feeling so odd after my last long haul flight.I feel hugely fat too and sluggish.I need to get a grip n cook but haven't got much energy to do so.Had crumpets for tea!

    Moany Mc Moanface!

I collected my ring today.Love it.The rings and scrap I weighed in were £300 and she charged me £250,I used the diamonds from the wedding, engagement and eternity rings. She has given me an insurance certificate for £2,500.
She is so clever, and busy, she can't get any work done hardly because of customers coming in the shop all the time.I will try to post a pic...sometime!

Re the mug cake thing,I went to HB today and even asked about them, nope.I did buy 2 lots of handcream cos I have realised that I now have old lady hands.

I went to some open gardens at weekend and it has made me want to do mine even more. The wall not finished 'cos they had to go to a landslip last week due to the rain.It actually has rained here ALL day.

Chrissy G,I am glad your daughter is ok.

Hope Wiggle is feeling better and that Miss Fiesty is sleeping a bit.

Hope you are much better now Murie

Love to Peppax and Bolstering vibes for you Free xxxxx

    Mwahxx to all Vx

Chrissy- hope DD is feeling better today, bet you are breathing a huge sigh of relief that you dont have to deal with that hospital anymore x

    Free- how things today?

Peppa- fingers crossed for today x

Mrs I- all packed and ready for the off tomorrow? Have a lovely time xx

Vulpix- good news that Mr V is a bit better- why are men so stubborn about going to the GP ? Especially when they aren't averse to being cry babies at home over the smallest cold (sorry-man flu!).
Glad your ring is everything that you wanted it to be, I like Elizabeth Arden 8 hour hand cream, its really nourishing and its lasts well so I find it both economical and effective- just what you need to display your lovely new ring! Fingers crossed the builders can get to you soon to finish the wall.

Have a lovely day everyone, take care x
    lovin' this site!

MRSINVISIBLE in case I don't get on later have a fabulous trip tomorrow, hope the boarding passes printed off ok.

VULPIX your post made me laugh Moany McMoanface :rotfl: Why would DH need a doc when he's got Google lol? Sometimes I wonder how we all managed when we didn't have the Internet, I'm always Googling something, usually cos someone asks a question about an actor if programme while we're watching tv and I'm on t'internet like a flash! Hope his leg is ok. Your ring sounds lovely, hope you can post a pic. I've got old lady hands as well and unfortunately my face seems to be going that way too lol.

CHRISSY great news that DD's op went well. I think you were very restrained about your work idiot - I think I might have had to threaten to call the police if he got in his car! Hope things are better this week and maybe he'll think twice next time.

FREE hope you're feeling ok - have you phoned the hospital yet? You know we'll just nag you until you do :).

DD messaged me yesterday all excited because she's just bought her first Christmas pressie. My sister thinks she's mad but I know you'll understand.

Bloods this morning, fingers crossed they come back ok this time, then this afternoon I'm going to the Cath Kidston outlet shop at St Neots with my sister so I'm very happy about that.

Binge watched 13 episodes of Grey's Anatomy Over the last few daysI haven't been able to face it since I went into hospital (can't watch 24 hours in A and E at the mo either) but I'm def back into it now. Shame the season has finished now and probably won't be back til next year! All my programmes seem to be ending at the same time.

Hope everyone has a good Tuesday. x

I lurrrrve google.I spend more time on the laptop than watching tv.It can be dangerous though. When I had breast cancer I didn't look anything up at all same with my spine opp.I prefer not to know and just turn up and get on with it! Years ago we had a fancy medical dictionary.I had to bin it.

Have a fab holiday Mrs I xx

Forgot to say yesterday I looked for bits to put away for Christmas whilst in town and didn't see anything. There was a cute jewellery box for youngest but I thought it was too expensive for just a stocking filler.

  • Thanks for the cheese scone suggestion Free, ironically scones are the only things I am carp at baking, but maybe I just need to persevere.

Glad all going well with Wiggle & your DD Chrissy.

Have a wonderful holiday Mrs I, hope body clock getting back into sync Vul.

Had a wonderful day yesterday, day at work flew by, drove to class in record time (and no, I was not speeding!), could do no wrong in class, drove home in record time (don't you love when the lights are with you!) and got home to a cheque for £100 :T:j. Have a regular dd to one of the local hospices for their lottery and won a prize, they have had more from me than I have had from them, but it is a worthy cause, so happy with the unexpected bonus.

Have booked a weekend in Budapest next March with my friend. Decided that we were going to put a case through cargo rather than just hand luggage only so that we had a bit more scope when shopping, bargain £170 for the 2 flights & £400 for 4 nights 5* hotel. Need to work out what the fund owes me now, we put £50 each per month into an account, so by the time we go, flights, accommodation and spending money should be accounted for. All we need to think about is additional personal spending money.
A smile costs little but creates much :)
