  • That is a fab attitude to have! I would go for homemade foodie hampers, these have always been received well when I've done them. Another one is gingerbread houses decorated with icing and sweets, any families with children really love them! I jazz them up with some cellophane and ribbons :)

I had a look on Pinterest and found some gingerbread tree ornaments which look manageable. Showed youngest DS and he's looking keen to help, so thank you for the idea (the thought of gingerbread houses was too much but we might try one for ourselves).

Ha ha MURIE, having chemo is incredibly boring so multitasking is the only way to stay sane lol.

PRINCESSKITTY the outlet shop at St Neots is literally a few minutes off the A1 once you go past the Black Cat roundabout northbound. I went there again today to return one of the items I bought the other day and ended up spending another £90  Well worth it though. I completed two birthday pressie and a Christmas pressie and bought some total gorgeousness for myself at fab sale prices. Hope Wiggle isn't a snot goblin for too long lol.

PINKSTEPS we've got a CK shop in Milton Keynes which is only about 15 mins from me but now I've discovered the outlet shop at St Neots I don't think I'll be bothering with the shop too much as its only just over half an hour to the outlet. Our other one is at Bicester outlet shopping village which is lovely but much further and has the added distraction of the Radley outlet shop too.

My DD and I like 50s style too and the 50s festivities sound fab. Loving all the pink flamingo ideas.

Chemo was ok on Wednesday, saw consultant this morning then back again to have pump disconnected this afternoon with a visit to the Cath Kidston outlet shop sandwiched in between. I'm rearranging my Pandora Christmas bracelet which is making me feel festive and I've added to my Christmas spreadsheet to reflect recent purchases and ideas so things are on track at last. Having a couple of days away next week if all goes well and to be honest I can't wait. Pouring with rain here again this evening, hope it's dry tomorrow so DH has some hope of cutting the grass over the weekend. Hope everyone has a good one. Xx

I don't do a spreadsheet for Christmas I have a beautiful CK Christmas planner that DD brought me from Bicester last year, its almost too lovely to use! All my Christmas magic is contained in that book! Woe betide anyone who peeps inside- they have been warned that Father Christmas wont come to them if they do lol!

I nearly bought a CK Christmas planner a couple of years ago MURIE but didn't and I must admit I did regret it. Got to stop spending now though or we'll be potless. :D

Peppa- this is my second in about 5 years! They are gorgeous, although I don't always use the pages as they are titled to be used but they are filled up pretty quickly even though I want to keep them pristine. They have become part of my personal 'Christmas Treasures' collection along with my hand made 'Night Before Christmas' book which has very personal meaning to me. If you really want one the outlets at this time of year are the best time to splash out in my experience.

Hi, Just popping in. My DD's drama school was invited to perform at the opening of a new Smiggle shop recently. At 13yo I did think that the shop was a bit 'young' for her, but she still found some bits after she'd finished singing.:D Handily they also had a 2 for £5 section, so have got the first of her stocking presents bought. A story dice set, again this is a bit 'young' for her, but will come in handy when she takes it into drama class if the younger children need entertaining. The other item I bought was a 'stick' of hi-lighters in all different colours. Never seen this done in hi-lighter form before but will be very handy for all the scripts she has.

My other news is I have been offered a job! Only temporary for upto 12 weeks, and am very nervous about it. 6 months out of work as well as what happened in my previous job has knocked my confidence somewhat. Fingers crossed it'll work out and when it finishes, I'll have saved some cash to make things easier at home.

Congratulations on the job SPENDLESS, that's good news. You'll be fine and a temporary job will be great at easing you back in. If it's good it'll be great experience and might lead on to something else and if not you walk away at the end with no ties and some money. Win-win lol.

    Well done Spendless! :T

I bought three more Christmas presents today - Tesco had the large plastic trucks, tractors and diggers reduced from £20 to £10, so I got one for each of my nephews who are under 4 years old :D

I have a normal Christmas planner and I'm terrible for using it! Maybe I'll try to be better at it.
