I'm the same VULPIX I won't Google anything to do with my surgery or cancer, too many scare stories out there!
GTQ that's a lovely idea going off for the weekend with your friend, something lovely to look forward to.
Would you believe it's raining again today?! We bought a sprinkler to use on the new(ish) lawn but no idea if it works because it hasn't stopped raining since it arrived! This weather makes me feel festive so thinking about new charms for my Christmas braceletIt's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Afternoon everyone, well i am just doing the funeral flowers and have run out of flowers and its not finished  so DD1 and i will have to go all the way back over to the garden centre 26 miles away in the morning and finish it in the car boot before we take them to the crematorium ......... sigh ......... more expense too i have already spent £22, i dont know if it is mse to make your own anymore??? Oh well i do try to keep expenses down and i do enjoy doing them so that is something.
VULPIX i agree but its perfect for the flipping weeds and bushes they are out of control here where it is warm and rainy! So glad MRVs leg has gone down he should really get it checked but men are men. Sorry you are still feeling bleurgh from the flight, its the worst isnt it trying to get back into your routine when you cant sleep at night! Glad you really love the ring, ooh pics would be lovely if you can
MURIE i havent been too bad today because i had something to do i think to take my mind off everything. How are you?
PEPPAPIG yes i have  they rang yesterday they wanted to move my appt to tomorrow which would have been great as i could have got both that and the funeral out of the way on the same day but although DD1 has the day off anyway, DS is working in London tomorrow so cant get time off/work from home so that he can look after the dog!!! Oh all the things i have to arrange so that i can get out of the house/go to appts is silly and more stress, but it isnt our dogs fault he is like he is, it is what it isGood luck with the bloods today hope they are what they should be! Have a fab time at the CK outlet hope you find some goodies.
GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY im not the greatest at scones but you need to handle them as little as possible so that they rise and are light. Another thing i thought of was cheese straws?? Your Budapest trip sounds fab value, well done you!

Princesskitty- don't apologise- I would imagine that the majority of us on here have been there done that and definitely got the T shirt lol!! Hopefully Wiggle let you have a little sleep last night and that you are all feeling better/brighter today x Enjoy reaching your decisions together fro your new home today x
I have been on the go since I got up with the birds this morning- made 2 rhubarb crumbles, one apple crumble, cheese scones, cauliflower cheese and prepped the lunch etc -Im on a roll today! I figured its all good exercise for my arm (even though its difficult at times) so that's a plus too!
Enjoy the day everyone xx
Wow, I'm envious of all your completed tasks! You were definitely on a roll!freespirit66 wrote: »Evening everyone, omg i have been stressed out this weekend we had the tropical rainstorm from hell on friday evening and water started pouring through the ceiling in the flat roof part of the conservatory in 3 places so had to put bowls down, because i am already stressing about this week, funeral and hospital i totally freaked out, went into meltdown, threw up everywhere then had to sip water all night  then when i awoke saturday morning and was looking up all my wallpaper is stained yellow where the water must have seeped through the concrete gutters into my bedroom i didnt even notice the windowsill was soaked and everything on it!! I really need to win/do the lottery and get out of this place there is just so much that needs fixing.
MRSINVISIBLE i hope you have a safe flight on wednesday and a wonderful, relaxing time in China, im sure your packing is all sorted now and you are ready as you are so organised. Sorry about DS car expense doubling, cars are an expensive business arent they when they go wrong!
MURIE you must have been devastated when DS was diagnosed with asthma after keep going to the other doctors and being told there was nothing wrong with him, i dont understand why some drs just dont have the right manner to be a dr and dismiss mums as idiots, i always tell my DD2 mums know best trust your instincts. I remember when DD2 was having tests on her back when she was about 12 and we had a hospital appt and he just turned around to me and said 'well what are you doing here?' really agressively, i was so shocked and explained everything and he turned to me and said 'well you know its scoliosis what more can i say?' No one had ever mentioned the word let alone actually diagnosed her, of course i walked out and cried, DD2 was so upset, we went home and googled what it was and it was so worrying, so i sent a letter of complaint i was so mad, another appt was made and we saw the nicest consultant ever he apologised and said of course we must have been worried and explained everything and let us ask questions, just totally different manner
FEISTY thankyoudont worry about the housework, make the most of little missfeisty while she is so tiny because it goes so fast! Im like that all the time, one week im on a roll, the next week nothing gets done!
PRINCESSKITTY aww i hope it wasnt that long a night and wiggle soon stayed asleep, i hope he is feeling better very soon!
MURIE omg girl you are on a roll, and one handed, well done you! Now i hope you are resting!
GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY i hope you have enjoyed your day of leisure, what about cheese scones?
CHRISSY the stupid little soandso, the young just dont think of the consequences do they??
Oh free, you're having such rotten luck at the moment! I'm sending you some good luck lovely xxxDd had her op today she was amazing although a little grumpy at having to get up at stupid o clock. It went well and we were on our way home at 12-30 she just has to see our nurse next Monday to get the clips removed and a post op check in 6 weeks then no more sheffield hospital appointments.
I think what annoyed md most about the young idiot at work was he kept saying he was fine to drive when he couldnt walk in a straight line .i tried to tell him that prison is full of people with that attitude who killed an innocent party because they were still over the limit but i know it was in one ear and out the other.
I'm glad the op went well!
I think when you're young you think your untouchable and that things like that will never happen to you, such a dangerous attitude!
MrsI have a wonderful time in China!
Vulpix I think it's a man thing! My DH is a nightmare about alerting his hospital when his heart is acting up!
PrIncess I hope wiggle is better and that you enjoyed choosing your fixtures and fittings!
I've finally plucked up the courage to use my machine to make a vinyl design on a shirt for little miss to wear on Father's Day. I had a bash at doing it 3 years ago and it was such a nightmare it put me off until now. The shirt has turned out fab and DH is going to love it! Best of all is it cost me £3 for the shirt as I had some heated vinyl lying around. I wanted to buy a similar shirt for her, but it was £15! Obviously I think mine is better[/COLOR]2024 Challenges

Update is I now have middle DS moved back home and getting settled and well.
Youngest DS has seen neurologist and long story short we do not expect any answers to his condition this side of Christmas. So, no use worrying, I have my two little boys to look after ( little, 19 and 30!! ). We are going to slowly get the house sellable and look for somewhere that youngest and myself can live a more simplistic life, middle DS too if he wants but he loves his job.
With my DDs, CHRISSYG, Freespirit66, and OMO keeping me going on Facebook and other lovelies sending messages on here I've managed to get through all this without going back on the ADs.
So what's next? .... Christmas! I need the campest 1950s theme Christmas Day and ideas. Going to make this one a good one with lots of homemade items, so ideas please. We have 192 days!0 -

That is a fab attitude to have! I would go for homemade foodie hampers, these have always been received well when I've done them. Another one is gingerbread houses decorated with icing and sweets, any families with children really love them! I jazz them up with some cellophane and ribbons
I'm on hold to tax credits claim lineI've filled in their silly paper work but it only asks for last years earnings which obviously don't take into account our low money now I'm on ML. I just need to know what I'm supposed to do as we've never claimed benefits like this before!

FEISTY I feel your pain. I've never claimed tax credits but DD does and they're always a nightmare! Hope they can get you sorted out quickly.
BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY 0462, late as usual because I never remember to check the list and tend to rely on others to post! Hope you had a fabulous day.
PINKSTEPS so glad things are moving forward for you and loving your 50s Christmas idea.
FREE hope today goes as well as it can for you. Your flowers will be lovely because you've put something of yourself into them. I must admit I tend to go for non-funeral funeral flowers, either a hand tied bouquet or something in a basket, because anything with a tag of wedding or funeral seems to cost a fortune.
Had a fabulous afternoon at the Cath Kidston shop yesterday and bought three things to put away for Christmas/birthdays while I was there. Having chemo at the mo, hurrah for hospitals having wi-fiIt's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Evening everyone, well today went well, i finished the wreath and went to the crematorium and had a few moments paying my respects, here is a pic:
I also got 4 christmas presents sorted out today, Costco were doing an offer of so much % off a pack of four £15 itunes gift cards, so that is all 4 nieces and nephews sorted and i virtually got one free it came to £46.99 so i used the £40 i had put away for christmas and just added the rest, i am well chuffed!
:bdaycake:HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUTHHONEY :bdaycake:
FEISTY thankyou for the good luck wisheswell done on making little miss a shirt for fathers day i bet it looks fab! Its a long time since i had tax credits but if i remember rightly that is how they base everything on the previous year for the current year so you wont benefit from these low earnings until next year, but someone who currently claims them might correct me on that???
PINKSTEPS you have managed to get by without ADs because you are a strong lady my lovely!! I absolutely love the 50's christmas idea and will look out for any ideas/tips for you
PEPPAPIG yes it went well thankyou, i avoided all stress and just went and spent time on my own. Glad you had a fab time yesterday, did you treat yourself to something nice? Hope chemo went well today and you feel ok the next few days xx

Morning ladies,
DD is doing well although I think she is enjoying being waited on a little too much !
We had no complaints about the hospital it ran like a well oiled conveyor belt but the replacement dressings she was given are a joke her wound is 6 inches long the dressing including the sticky bit are only 3 inches .Not sure what I'm supposed to do with them .
Christmas wise I got my OH & DD to sort out their Amazon wish lists so I have an idea of what I'm looking for , I have started buying a few bits but not a great deal.
Pinksteps- After what you have been through lately all with out your ADs shows what a strong lady you are .xThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
