Goodness its quiet in here. Have been reading but not posting. Nothing Christmassy apart from got a salted caramel vodka for DBIL in aldi this morning as he loved the one I got DD last year. Might give it to him for his birthday in Oct tho, not sure yet.

Free-hopefully things are getting better, when do you get your results? Hopefully they will bring you some relief.

Vulpix- ooh an ulcer-nasty. DH had one a few years ago and he really suffered.

Feisty- fingers crossed for a positive outcome with DH's hospital appt. Lil Miss is keeping you on your toes isn't she? Babies really do take over your every moment don't they?!

Peppa- as always massive hugs x. You amaze me that you are so stoic about this, you are an inspiration to us all (as is JJ)

On the home front- flaming tumble drier packed up this morning! Thankfully a nice new shiny one is sitting in its place as I type! I know its not very MSE but I NEED my tumble!!!

Hi everyone, hope everyone is doing ok xx

peppapig- Good to hear the Consultant is pleased with your progress. Sounds like you have a good team there who will be with you throughout your chemo treatment. You also have us christmas mad lot, We are always here to provide virtual hugs, cups of tea and shoulders to cry on, a good laugh and chat whenever you need it xxx We are all a bunch of mad christmas crazies but we are also united in friendship, let us know if you need a chat or sound off! we are here xx
Free- I am so sorry to hear you are in pain. We love to hear how you are doing, whether you are in pain or not. We are a close christmas club and we want to support you through the good and bad stuff so we are here for you xx
princesskitty29-hope you had a lovely wedding anniversary. I lose hours/days on pinterest.
vulpix- sorry to hear the dr thinks you have an ulcer. I read about your procedure for your knees, it sounds like a form of torture that MI5 would use to extract information from suspects/spys, injections under your knee caps!! Although a camera does not sound nice, it sounds better than the knee cap procedure. You are a very brave lady xx

Firstly Feisty - She is adoreable!!

princesskitty29 - thankyou for thinking of me <3

I've not read back at all because well that would take me months and I'd miss so much more! So I hope that everyone is ok and happy, I'm sure I will catch up on things, I'm not planning on going anywhere this time! Promise!

Nothings changed here really, we've had two chickens in our bathroom for a couple weeks, one with a cut and one with basically a chest infection but both are back outside doing chicken things now :) . I was lucky enough to attend the Etsy team captains summit a couple of weeks ago that was amazing, it was in Cambridge, and we were put up in a super fancy hotel and had dinner in one of the university colleges it was like hogwarts! One of the best experiences :D definitely the highlight of the year so far :) but other than that it's just been work.

I look forward to catching up with everyone properly :) x x x
I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.

  • Hugs to those not feeling the best, hopefully now that the weather is trying to improve, it will help you a lot. Feisty, hope hubs gets on ok in Newcastle, shame Mini Feisty is keeping you away from him, but just think of all the hugs & kisses when he gets home, she will definitely know that she was much wanted and is much loved.

Not done anything Christmassy, although I did buy a Neil Diamond Christmas cd, does that count? I have always liked his voice and he appears to be coming a popular artist on the radio..

Nit - glad you were lucky with the double up, I am having a nightmare with mine. Decided to get the littlies electric toothbrushes as they are obsessed with mine. Got to say, the girl at customer services was unbelievably helpful, couldn't get the system to produce the voucher as they come under health & beauty according to the leaflet, got the supervisor, eventually established it is electrical. Trotted off with my voucher and trolley of shopping, voucher not accepted at checkout! Supervisor happened to be there and said that should not be the case, so took them off the bill & took them back to customer services to be paid there. Ran them through the till, £50, £40 voucher, balance to pay (I thought!) £10. NO, system refused voucher again, poor girl on CS was really confused, spoke to someone else and was told because it was over £40 spend, couldn't be used, which confused CS & I even more. Was advised to buy one toothbrush and something else to take cost to £40. Not what I wanted, but thought I could get something for Christmas. Back to checkouts, with my bagged shopping, to discover that the second item was reduced & took my spend to £33 so system still wouldn't take my voucher, at this stage, it was almost an hour later, so I would have been prepared to lose the balance of the £40:mad::mad:

Got home & went online to read the T&C's so will be phoning to complain this morning:mad:

It is technically MSE as you wouldn't want to risk the cost of fixing damp if you had to constantly dry indoors ;)

Oooo that sounds amazing, I've not really been too involved with my etsy team since November due to little madam. I'd love to have a link to your shop!

What a saga! You definitely need to complain, hopefully they will sort something for you.

Well I fell well and truly behind with the penny challenge and I know we NEED to keep on top of it or else there will be no money for Christmas this year as my maternity leave ends September, but I'm hoping to scrape enough work from home together so that I don't need to start working away from the house until at least January!

Afternoon everyone, its been a bit of a s****y weekend here, DD1 has been asking for her contract for her new position and they kept putting it off and putting it off until 3.30pm on friday afternoon, and when she looked at it the t & cs had been changed, what level banding she was on, the money etc so she refused to sign it and said that is not what was advertised, she was really upset and felt as if she had been tucked up by them yet again, so all weekend was worrying herself silly about going in today, whether it would be her new position or her old one, but she stuck to her guns and had a meeting with HR at lunchtime and got what she wanted so phew we can breathe again, of course i was worried sick for her as well, so we were a right pair!

PEPPAPIG im so glad they said the op was successful and are fairly confident with the eventual outcome, you can get through the chemo, you are a lovely strong lady, it wont be easy but we are all behind you and you have all your lovely family supporting you too! DD2 has decided she will go for the injections for now but will go forward seeing people about the op and who is happy to do it, she wont get it done on her work private scheme so it will be through nhs

NITNURSE you reminded me of the nectar double up so i doubled up mine to £40 and got a new duvet, duvet cover and fitted sheet, i usually save it for christmas but thought i might as well treat myself for nothing

FEISTY results take a week and then i have to wait until 19th for drs appt :( sending lots of good luck vibes for DH week in Newcastle

MURIE i will be seeing my dr on 19th so have to wait until then, mmm salted caramel vodka sounds nice!

04624181 aww thankyou my lovely hope you are well!

PIXTOTTS ooh your evening sounds fab and the fancy hotel!

MANDCO nice to see you, hope you are ok!!

LINZ ooh that doll sounds a real bargain :)

GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY omg that sounded like a nightmare getting your nectar double up, poor you!

    Hello you lovely lot :-)
Sorry I haven't been posting much, and unfortunately I haven't been reading either. We have been so blooming busy trying to get our rental property decorated and ready for going back on the market for another tenant! Very very little Christmassy stuff going off over here, although whilst painting yesterday a couple of Xmas songs came on my iTunes shuffle haha! Princess kitty thanks for thinking of me :-)

I'm going to have a little read back now as I can't get comfy in bed, sore lower back, feeling a bit either poorly or pregnant :rotfl: I really don't know which! *head in hands*
    Hugs all round :-)
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
    Mum to two boys :heartpuls

I gave up! Staff were so helpful that it was gutting to see them so frustrated at the system. Got the points added back to my card, but that is almost 2 hours of my life I will never get back:(
