We used to be like that but I put money in a couple of birthday cards [ under 18's]the rest all just get cards sent , we don't do Easter [have a takeaway] mothers /fathers day again is just cards my parents insisted on this years ago.

The only birthdays I buy for are my DD + OH and the dog .DD's will be complete next week then I will start on hubbys .

I hope everyone is having a nice [warm] day , its freezing here although it looks quite sunny.

  • linz how frustrating that it took that long to diagnose your DS! I thought an allergy to that would have been quite obvious? Although i'm no expert! I hope you get some better nights now. I also hope everything is going ok with work, I am sure it must have been very hard to go back!

mrsinvisible ah that will be lovely to have a trip out to see family to look forward to.

I'm getting on track with Easter now, have added Easter eggs to my food order as they're currently buy 2 get 2 free in Tesco and i'm going to make chocolate Rice Krispie/cornflake cakes with Wiggle to put in Easter cellophane bags as a gift from him. It's also my mums birthday in March so i've just ordered a couple of 'Nanna' bits off ebay, a trolley coin keyring and a coaster. I do always try to buy practical gifts that people can use. I've also started on my best friend's birthday in April, I saw an idea on Pinterest to give a 'Pinktastic' gift basket, where everything's pink! My friend loves pink so I thought this would be a good idea, although again I want to buy useful things that she will like and not just put random stuff in because it's pink! I had already bought her a bracelet from Accessorize in the sale and luckily that's pink. Gosh i've never been so organised! Like others i'm in the midst of birthdays and other special occasions at the moment so Christmas is on a back burner right now, although I got a Christmassy book from the library today for Wiggle to read as it had lots going on in it and that made me feel a little festive when we were reading it this morning!

Hugs to everyone in need of them, thinking of you. xx

  • Hi all,

Want to say a big thank you to you all for the messages xx im feeling the love xx Thats why I love this board, we are a christmas family x
The scan went well, I only had one 15 minute scan and no contrast dye was used so Im hoping that is a good sign.
The radiographer asked me who had ordered the scan so told him it was ENT consultant so he said that the consultant would be in touch so I will wait for an appointment but Im glad it is over!
Princesskitty29- lol that made me laugh about my user ID. Thanks for the well wishes. Hope you and the family are ok. Sounds like you are very organised with your eater preparation xx

mrsinvisible-thanks for the well wishes, you have been busy with the decorating, well done you x

free-thank you for my well wishes, I hope you and the family are all ok xx
peppapig-thank you for your well wishes, you did make me laugh about my user name. When I first recieved this number and the other numbers for my staff ID I really struggled to remember it. We had to use it to input onto out bank computers and I was always locking myself out of the screens and spending hours on the phone to IT whilst they reset me. Now I cannot forget the numbers lol
