Peppapig, what great news for you, a big positive (quick, tick that box)
Free, so sorry you are still in so much pain.
On the randomness of men, years ago l sent mrl to collect the kids from school in the village, 20 mins later he rang from the town 3 miles away in the other direction to say 'l am outside the supermarket but l cant remember what you wanted'
No Christmas prep done here this week, but l have decorated the 2 small bedrooms, and thrown out loads of stuff, DGS2s favourite colours are blue and gold, so softy crazy grandma has painted all his woodwork gold. He will see it today when they Skype, and DGD will see hers too, pink and purple are her colours.
Now a short break to prepare for seed sowing and other garden type stuff, all indoors, naturally.0 -
Ha ha Murie, I can just imagine DH being all pleased with himself helping out with the shopping lol.
Well, some good news. The CT scan result is in and there isn't any sign of it having spread. :j Fingers crossed now that they can take it out with surgery and we can move on and put this behind us.
Off to collect DGD tomorrow so goodbye lie-ins and hello early rising lol.
Really great news Peppa. I will keep everything crossed for you that it all goes smoothly. X:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Happy Valentine's Day ladies :heart2::heart2: I don't really go into for it, but had a lovely meal last night and bagels, scrambled egg and smoked salmon this morning. So can't complain :-)
Sorry to hear you are in so much pain Freespirit. Hope you can get your meds evened out and start to feel better. X
It's my sister birthday tomorrow, so going to my Dads today to celebrate her birthday while we are all off. My 2 sisters and kids all land at his house for a couple of hours. It's chaos and madness, but I love it as it always nice to get together.
I do feel for my Dad though. My school (work) holidays don't match my kids half term hols next week. So he is looking after all 3 of them Tuesday - Friday. I'm so grateful as there was no one else who could take them. The are good ages 10, 8 and 4. All independant and will have their packed lunches and gadgets etc. but just hope they behave. My wee boy (8) can get annoying when bored. He is well warned, as my Dad is still tired after his last chemo a couple of weeks ago. I'm hopin the weather stays nice and they will play outside.
Shame I need to work while they are off, but this is the only school holiday, apart from one inset day that don't match. I can look forward to all Easter and summer holidays with them :-):santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Free - sorry to hear you're suffering at the moment. I hope it eases for you soon.
Sending out best wishes & hugs to everybody, those who are going through hard times and also for those who aren't but could just do with a hug anyway : )
All quiet on the Christmas front at the moment for me. I have a few things stashed away which can be used as either Christmas presents or some of them will make nice birthday presents for a few people I have in mind. Boots are currently doing a 3 for 2 offer on home fragrances, which includes yankee candles, so I ordered a few the other day. I kept one for myself, it's Black Cherry and I love it! Usually I just go for vanilla candles hut I thought I would try a different fragrance for a change & I'm glad I did now.
We had a little sort through our DVD's yesterday so I've put a load on amazon, sold 3 already, woohoo. There were a pile of them that we're selling for 1p on amazon, which is pointless by the time the postage credit goes on, then fees come off & I have to then pay for postage, so I put them on music magpie instead. I'll get just under £10 for them, which isn't a huge amount of money but it's better than having them sit on our shelves gathering dust. I've got to remember to print the postage label off and grab a box from my office tomorrow so that I can send them away.
I just finished reading a book called The Girl in the Photograph, but Kate Riordan. It's not the sort of genre I usually read (light chick-lit is my go to genre) but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm starting another one now called The Other Child, so I'll have to let you know how that one goes, but so far it's keeping me interested : )

Got my friend a bottle of argon oil shampoo and conditioner to put away for her birthday , she gets through loads and loves it so thought a handy present (£1 each) would be nice amongst other things.
Treated my mum to a long stitch craft set today which I found for £3.50 in the charity shop , she is finally doing rug making and latch hooking as hobbies so thought I would add to it . xxNanMias - cyber granddaughter!

Thanks everyone
MRSGIGGLEWICK I don't usually shop at Tesco but popped in there today and saw those eggs so got eight for £6. Usually I wait because we tend to eat them before they get given out but thought that was such a good price was worth the risk lol. Sorry to hear about DD.
I love all the shopping stories - I actual did laugh out loud :rotfl:It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Peppa - that's great news, very positive. I hope you are looking after yourself at this trying time!0

Evening everyone, im beginning to feel normal again
well whatever the hell is normal :rotfl:pain is subsiding and i am beginning to feel more like myself after having a very tearful day yesterday grrrr
:( DS had his peak flow test on thursday and the nurse said it was very good and very much doubted it was asthma so he sees dr again this week to see where he goes from there. I had Thumper today after not seeing him for 2 weeks, i just couldnt have him last week i could barely look after myself let alone a toddler, so my cheer levels are 100 % topped up :rotfl:
MURIE i have actually made an appt with dr its not until near mid march but still i need to really go through my meds and sort this pain out, luckily my fibro is very good atm as i am taking a higher dose of the aloe juice and a couple of other supplements from the same range and its flipping fantastic, i cant believe the difference, only bad thing is the price but DD2 wont hear of anything i say and is paying for it all, bless her! I hope your DH finds a job quickly i know how frightening it can be, being in a situation like that and its very worrying, so sending DH lots of good luck vibes and lots of hugs to you x
PEPPAPIG the ct scan news is the best news i have heard this year, i did shed a tear when i read your news, keep strong my lovely lady, we are all rooting for you x
NIC im so sorry you have been feeling down, i hope things are looking brighter for you! OMG i watched an item on roller derby tonight on the news ARE YOU MAD??????? :rotfl:
