DD had her appointment yesterday apparently the clinical trial was just because she had a new model implant doesn't explain anything really ! The battery is so low its not having any effect on her at all so it was switched off. She will have to wait about 3 months before it can be removed but it just goes to show how effecting the new meds are. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Nitnurse: Transition is going very well ,thank you, goes to 4 days a week beginning of March, all 3 will be at mum and stepdads for tea tonight for the first time in 2 1/2 years, they are all so excited.
Take care everyone x0 -
Suesad (sorry got it mixed round last time I commented), did transition go ok? its a positive start.
Chrissy- they still should have mentioned it. It does seem her meds are working more effectively tho.
Where is everyone??? Soo quiet in here lately!
Dining table and chairs came, and during the night the monster cat dug on the back of one of them! Im so upset, but cant lock him out of the dining room as its a through lounge/diner and the dog is in there over night. Last night I put a throw over the back so the little devil dug on another one! Tonight Im cover all of them up!
Well it was my turn to visit A&E- turns out I have ripped another tendon in my foot! Its so flippin painful and its another enforced week or so of inactivity, will have to download a few books to occupy me.
Take care everyone xlovin' this site!

Oh MURIE you must be gutted. Many years ago now we bought a lovely soft leather sofa and our cat at the time decided the front of it was the perfect place to exercise her claws - I was horrified. She stopped doing it fairly quickly but of course the damage was done by then. I did think of a scratching post but I think if they don't have one as a kitten they never really take to it. I do hope your little tiger tires of the dining chairs very very soon! A big ouch to the tendon - make sure you rest and don't do anything you don't absolutely have to.
NITNURSE hope you have a lovely time with your buff tomorrow and you all enjoy the birthday celebrations at the weekend.
PIXIE, my specialist nurse phoned to introduce herself yesterday and explained how things work and I feel a lot better knowing that there is a proper process being followed. The problem was because my original referral wasn't an urgent one and wasn't done at the nhs hospital, I was given my diagnosis much earlier in the process than if I'd gone the urgent route, under the hospital they would only have told me they'd found something and wouldn't actually have said cancer until the histology was back and all the scans done and I would have been linked with her straight away. Because of the way it went with me I was told it was malignant and then nothing for two weeks which left us all floundering a bit. The multi disciplinary team are meeting today so fingers crossed.
SUESAD I'm really pleased your family is coming back together and will keep everything crossed for a successful transition for all.
CHRISSY, so pleased DD's new meds are hitting the spot, it must be a big relief for you both to have something that's working at last.
FREE and PRINCESS KITTY hope you're ok and hope all the regulars are just too busy to post and not having a bad time.
Roll on Spring and new beginnings. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Oh peppa- I know they have to follow protocol which is to be expected but it leaves you in limbo while they all catch up with themselves at a time when you need as much reassurance and info that you can get.
Im glad you are feeling a little more positive now the system has been explained.
Yes I was gutted about the chair. He ripped the last lot to absolute shreds and DH wanted us to have plain wooden ones. That's ok in the kitchen but not in my dining room so I was stubborn and held out for these fabric ones (they are like a carver chair with small scooped arms).I thought I could persuade him otherwise (cat not DH lol) but seems I misplaced my trust in the little ratbag (again cat not DH!). Im resigned to going round covering them all up before I go to bed. I made scones this morning and ended up burning them ! Im annoyed at myself cus I got distracted with a phone call from lil Sis. I have got all the windows open downstairs to get rid of the acrid smell of charred scones in the vain hope that they wont be able to smell it when they all come home and know I have been standing.(planned on telling them I got them out of freezer) Im frozen tho! Serves me right for doing something I shouldn't!lovin' this site!

And in more news from chez Brown- DH has just rung to say he is leaving his job! Tomorrow! Too many things are going on that he isn't happy about and he wont be party to anything shady. He's not been happy or comfortable there for a few weeks so I have sort of been expecting it but it has still come as a bit of a shock. Back to the drawing board, hopefully something will com along soon.lovin' this site!

Wow MURIE you dont do things by halves in your house but I can understand how DH feels. We've all got our limits and good on him for not compromising his principles. Hope something new turns up for him very soon. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0
