Hi all,
Well it is certainly fresh this morning. Kids want to go to the cinema today to watch the new alvin and the chipmunks movie. We have got our nephew staying over too. Hubby is off after today so we will do some fun days out with him.
My MRI brain scan is on thursday evening, only 2 weeks since the initial appointment. Little apprehensive as the speed of appointment has unnerved me a little xx
peppapig- amazing news about the ct scan xxx will keep you in my prayers x
free- so glad you are feeling better, the aloe stuff sounds fab x
murie-sorry to hear about hubbys job but I am a great believer that things happen for a reason. often so it can lead you to the next path. Maybe your hubby would of never dreamt of working for himself but the next stepping stone was the experience he has just had but that has led him to being his own boss x I admire you both for dealing with it well and wish you the best of luck xx
juior j great bargains xx
ms gigglewick- thanks for the heads up on easter eggs x Hope dd gets well soon x Pox is going around daughters school. She has not had a true dose of pox, she has had a few spots the last 2 times it has been at school but apparantly there has been 5 kids off with it in her class and they have had it quite bad.
moneymission2015- great on earning some cash on the dvds, musicmagpie seems a good idea and I may check it out as its better than them gathering dust on the shelves.
nic2075- Im sure the kids will be just the tonic your dad needs. Kids are great for lifting spirits and im sure they will all have lots of fun x0 -
Hi all, oh how i've missed you! I didn't want to go AWOL but have had a busy time recently, thanks for your concern those of you that asked. We've been up and down to Beds a couple of times having meetings with our biulding company and viewings at rental properties. We're hopefully exchanging on our sale and purchase this week so once that is done we can secure a rental property for the next 6 months or so.
I've tried to read back over what i've missed but have only had time to skim read and now can't remember everything!
fiesty a HUGE congratulations on the birth of Eleanor, what a beautiful baby and name. I am so pleased for you and your DH, words cannot describe. It's a massive shock to the system having a newborn baby but I am sure you are doing a great job.
I'm so sorry, I really have had a mind blank! I know many of you are having a rough time so I am sending lots of big hugs and I hope you all get through your battles. I like to reply to people so i'm sorry i've just gone blank, I shall come back tomorrow and see if I can try again!0 -
Sorry not been informed a while.
Hugs to all as so many seem to need them. XSPC~12 ot 124

Thanks MM, FREE and 9462. FREE I'm so glad you're on the mend and lovely that you were able to have Thumper this week.
0462 I'm glad your scan date is booked although I know what you mean about the speed of the appointment unnerving you. Hopefully it's just efficiency with nothing sinister underlying it and you'll soon have news to put your mind at rest. Hope you manage to put it out of your mind now until Thursday or at least push it to the back. I'll be thinking of you and I know I won't be the only one.
Good to have you back PRINCESSKITTY and MRS M.
I have DGD here this week so lots of fun although not quite as much sleep as I usually get! It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Mornin, glad to hear things sound a little more positive.
Free, hope things settle down now for you and you can plod on.It will be great when Thumper is running around and you can get out in the garden or park with him.I don't have any grandchildren but would love some.Have told all my kids to get on with it if they are going to,not to wait until they are well into their thirties like I did.Purely selfish because if they wait I will be a geriatric granny!I have met so many people in this village who have moved here from afar to be near their grandchildren. Why not, think I would do the same, might draw the line at moving to Canada though.
Talking of Canada my eldest daughter has found some reasonable price tickets for the end of May.She is coming Saturday to paint some ceilings for me,think we may book it then.
0462 think of your quick appointment as efficiency on their part.Bit of a shock to have a sudden diagnosis when you didnt really know there was a problem in the first place.I was the same both with breast cancer and my spine problem.Well I knew I had a bad back but didnt know it was so serious.
peppa,I think your positive attitude will stand you in good stead with your illness.I worked with someone who had breast cancer 4 years before I was diagnosed.I am 4 years down the line with it and never think about it,she is still defined by it,it affects everything she does.I know it is a massive thing but I felt better for not letting it rule me.
We went to the seaside on Monday. There were some people on horses galloping down the waters edge and a rainbow above!!!!!!!!!!Just what the doctor ordered for blowing the cobwebs away.
The plasterer is here again today so I will go and do mine and my Mum's food shop.
Love to all Vx:0 -
Thanks VULPIX, wise words. I don't want this to define me whatever way things go. Wow, horses and rainbows, it doesn't get much better than thatIt's the most wonderful timeof the year :0

Hi all,
Big hugs to everyone,
Took the kids to the cinema yesterday but the show we wanted was sold out so we went bowling instead. I watched and laughed as the kids and my nephew got very competitive, it was hilarious. There were a couple of problems with the lane, nothing major, but it delayed the game a couple of times so the manager gave us a free game! the kids were so happy that I ended up treating us to lunch there too and £20 on arcades! they had a ball, my 5 yr old dd won 500 tickets and won a teddy.
We went to cinema today to watch the filme we wanted to watch yesterday, it was good. We are now on the wii doing serious competitive sports lol x
princesskitty29- sounds like it is all systems go for you, good luck xx
mrs moneypenny- hope you ok xx
peppapig- Thank you for your kind words, I am obviously a little apprehensive but I am not wasting anymore precious energy worrying. We will see what tomorrow brings
Vulpix-Thank you vulpix, I am now going with that attitude, quickness/efficiency is just to make sure that there is no problem, that is why I thank God for the NHS!! Love your wise words, and your day at the beach on Monday sounds amazing
Free- Hope you are doing good, I need to get back on my slimmimng world diet. Im 40 in june and need 2 stone off!!0 -

Kudos to you for never thinking about the cancer, that takes a very strong person to be able to do that! Hope you get the tickets booked for Canada, you will have something lovely to look forward to

Hi all, i'm sorry I still haven't had time to go over the last few pages but I have remembered a few things:
04624181 I do hope your scan goes well today, will be thinking of you. It sounds like you've had a lovely couple of days. I must write to you quite often as I know your user name off by heart now!
newthrift I'm so sorry to hear what happened to you at the beginning of the year, you poor thing. It must be an awful thing to go through but it is good to hear you are being so positive about the future. xx
freespirit how horrible to hear you've been so poorly again, i'm glad you are feeling a bit better and have been reunited with Thumper. How is your DD and DS doing?
I'm sorry I know there was many more things going on with people but I can't remember! I shall vow to do better from here.
The only Christmassy thing I have done recently is finish 3 cross stitch cards, only about another 35 to go! I am however mostly organised for Mother's Day thanks to my s/s! I'm going to make both mums a 'cream tea' basket including homemade scones, jam, clotted cream and I bought two ceramic tea spoons with hearts on and the words 'best mum'. I bought the baskets in Poundland, they were actually in the Easter section but I thought they'd be great for my cream tea baskets. I also bought a tablecloth for Easter from there too. Just need to plan that next, I think I may bake things rather than buying eggs this year.0 -
Evening Ladies,
