Evening everyone,
JJ im so glad you have had the op honeynot so good it caused the seizures but glad you are getting them under control, isnt it amazing what can be done now with technology and apps etc! You look after yourself and dont do too much, sorry you have to look for another job, did you lose the one you were at? Take Care x
MURIE oh does your DS have asthma too? Did i come across as worried?? Sorry i was just quite surprised it never even entered my head, i have heard if kids have a night -time cough it could be asthma but not his age, the cough etc but we will see, i know he has had enough of coughing it will be 3 months by the time he sees the nurse!
NEWTHRIFT no i didnt watch it, i couldnt make my mind up whether it was a load of has beens or whether it would be interesting, who is on there? Hope you had a good time with your mum

belated birthday wishes clumsy
JJ congrats on getting the op you wanted hopefully once they get the app up and running it will make monitoring things much easier for you long term.
Freespirit hope ds gets some answers soon having a long term cough is very draining and gets a little worrying too but good news that his x-ray was clear.
ChrissyG sounds like dd had an amazing time and its given her plans for some amazing trips. Shocking that they put her on a clinical trial without telling you who knows what side effects it could have caused without you being aware
04624181 sorry to hear you and dd are ill again wishing you both a speedy recovery
princesskitty the valentines cards sound lovely its so much fun when they get big enough to get involved usually ends up being messy but lots of fun
BabyBoo sorry to hear things have been difficult hope things are starting to improve
Murie good to hear ds is coping ok even if it was his choice its hard to end a long term relationship its far to easy to stay even though its no longer working and I'm sure it wasn't an easy decision but it does sound like it was the right thing for ds. Hope dd's windscreen get sorted soon saying now it could be a 10 day wait is ridiculous in this weather its alright for them saying its ok they don't have to drive it.
Fiesty hope everythings ok and your just super busy
Thanks for all the ideas for the word art I'm terrible and making stuff up but you've given me some great ideas. A lot of the gifts I brought will end up as birthday presents or school donations for the endless amount of fetes/donation required events they seem to have so prob not a lot of xmas ones sorted but still very happy with the stash so far.
Asda have the new free magazine out and inside is a cardboard xmas savings card which you can swap for a proper one(you could prob just ask without it) but this yr they have a keyfob one too which might remind me to top it up more often.
Iceland had some random stock in baskets by the tills like toothbrushes for 19p & mugs 59p so picked some up go in the donations box. I managed to find some xmas stocking for 25p each in wilkos so thinking I might make a couple of sets to donate this year?
hope everyones ok and staying safe if in areas affected by the awful weatherthis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
Hi all,
IAMMUMTOONE I am also following the SW diet. I find it flexible enough to fit with the family and also, as I save my syns, I am able to have my nights out on the lash too. I lost 5lbs this week. I really don't know how that happened. I have never lost so much in one go in my life. No doubt next weigh in will be terrible as I have two nights out and they are always filled with alcohol and food.
Well, I am still working my way through the freezers. My aim was to get to the end of January without shopping- except fro fresh foods obviously. I have now decided to keep going into February. I still have loads of stuff left. Meat, fish, some veg and ready cooked and frozen meals such as stews/ soups/ casseroles.
I have just got a till spit from Sains for £18 off my first £60 online shop so going to order some store cupboard staples to use this. I'm thinking pasta, rice, stock cubes, condiments etc. I think toilet rolls may appear on there as I am sure my family eat them. We go through loads. I may also order myself a bottle of gin as I have just finished mine from my holidays last year.
Off to see if I can navigate the home shopping site….………………..Wish me luck

Afternoon
I hope everyone is ok.
Had a lovely time with my Mum at Whitestuff opening the other night, I was good and didn't purchase, although there was one nice oversized jumper I liked. Having a steady Sunday, doing a bit of washing and getting lunch & tea ready. We are having a 'grill' up :rotfl: for lunch and i've made my own hash browns for the first time ever, not sure how they will taste yet.
Free - I can't remember the names of them all and some are has beens, however, it was interesting, wasn't quite the same as most 'reality' shows. Worth a catch up or watch if you get chance.Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Afternoon everyone, just having another lazy sunday, have attempted to put a bolt on my door between LR and Kitchen as i WD40d it the other day to stop it squeaking and it just opens now without having to pull handle down, Thumper already can reach it and pull it down so he will want to go into kitchen all day wanting to play with my WM he loves the noises and lights when pressing buttons
oh dear without the right tools and knowledge i have somehow got it on but the diy work in this house is atrocious being done by us, oh well heigh ho its working! I need a flipping man i can keep in a cupboard on standby just for handyman jobs around the house, our next job is attempting to fit a bath panel, youtube here i come :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
MANDCO ooh i hope they have the free mag by the time i get to asda
NITNURSE ooh DD1 got one of those coupons yesterday i have just had an idea of trying to get a shop in her name so it will be her first and getting £18 of food free, hmm i wonder if it will work?? I hope you got your shop all ordered ok
CHRISSY i think they have had an offer on delivery this month in Poundland, i have tried to do shops but half the stuff i have tried to order is in store only
VULPIX i have cooked a SW chinese recipe that turned out nice but tbh i cheat and buy the ready made stuff either in Iceland or Sainsburys, DD1 and i were eyeing it all up yesterday for Chinese New Year funnily enough! I find that you need so many ingredients it works out quite expensive especially if they are going to sit in the cupboard afterwards not being used again! Have a look online on the Good Food website they usually have fab recipes for everything and im sure they will have chinese recipes on at this time of year. How was Amsterdam, did you have the lovely break that you needed? How is the building work all going now?
NEWTHRIFT perhaps i will watch it on catch up then and have a nose, thankyou

This shop has nothing to do with the ones with physical stores , I believe this was set up by 2 women. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hello, hope you all had a nice Sunday? I was visiting my dad and sisters and a bit of shopping with both DD's.
Vulpix- I seen a really good looking recipe on fb the other day I'm dying to make. It's SW friendly and its salt and chili chicken. She used smash as the coating for the chicken. It looked better than what I usually get at the Chinese. I can't remember the girls page, I think it was Curvy kate maybe? Tesco also have little boxes of fortune cooked and cute lucky cats that might add to your meal x
I'm so glad January is over. It's the only month I actually dislike. It's so dreich and depressing after Christmas. February is nice and short and means Spring is closer :-)
I am on a healthy eating kick. Not just for loosing weight, but my as you know my dad is going through chemo, but he also has high cholesterol and heart issues. But this week my aunt also got diagnosed with the same heart condition. They have both never smoked, not over weigh, and looked after themselves. my gran (their Mum) also died from a stroke and heart issues, then on my Mums side it's breast cancer. So I really have no hope lol.
Seriously though. I turn 40 in June, so it makes you realise that in 20 years time that could be one of my conditions too. This is my time to do something about it so I'm still here for my kids in my 70's at least.
I do already eat healthily, don't smoke and only have a few glasses of wine at the weekend. But that's when the crisps come out. And through the week it's the wee scone or cake with my evening cuppa that adds up.
I'm going to cut down on processed meats, have more meat free days, eat more soya protein, and cut down on cakes/biscuits at night. Hopefully I'll feel the benefits in the next couple of weeks x:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0
