    Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker
    Afternoon one and all :D

Murie – Thanks for the micropedi heads up, will try and keep my eye on stock as would be a good one for my mum. I hope your plumber has arrived by now? What a hectic morning.

Princesskitty – I hope your DH got the hint and has purchased!! EB has such beautiful stuff. Love the spreadsheet organisation for all occasions!

Nic2075 – I really hope they get your pay sorted out soon, well done on the weight loss!!

Pixiefairydust – Thanks for posting the picture, the stocking look really good!! I am pinching the idea for sure!

Iammumtoone – I don’t follow a diet as such but I have used the MyFitnessPal app and I just try and eat as little processed food as possible. Portion sizing is the hardest thing, once you grasp that you’ll be fine. I know a lot of people who find slimming world to be amazing and my Mum and MIL both lost over 2st each in the run up to my wedding with it.

Chrissyg – Fantastic to hear your DD had such a good time and is planning her next trips.

Well that's it we are on the 11month countdown. I cannot quite believe it's the end of January this week, where has that month gone?
I really need to take a leaf out of princesskitty's book and get myself a spreadsheet with everything on, or at least start making a list!!

We have booked a week away with friends to KP loges at Pocklington in October, so i'm looking forward to that. There is 6 of us plus our friends baby who will be 5months :) They all go on the Monday but due to work commitments me and DH will be joining them on the Wednesday, will be a lovely break away and it has a hot tub, woohoo :j

Nothing much else going on here, I do need to catch up with a little bit of washing, but it won't be going anywhere so I don't worry too much about it haha!
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Chrissy- so pleased that DD had a whale (or dolphin rather) of a time! As Free says, a once in a lifetime experience that has given her confidence in leaps and bounds! Is she still wiped out by it or has she been telling you all about it?

Free- how is DD and the rest of the clan now?

Feisty- sending you all the positive vibes in the world, you'll be 'meeting' baby soon!

Mrs I Can you put my halo next to yours please? I got off to a good start, did 15 mins on exercise bike, walked the hound over the park, vacuumed, dusted general tidy up, ironed -all before 8.15. I was feeling quite smug!

Then it went downhill! Went to the bathroom (!)before I set off to take mom to hospital appt and the loo was gushing out water from underneath! Cue panic as I only have 10 mins before I am due at moms! I rang DH on his private phone to see if he could give me any advice- phone unavailable! Grr! Rang his work phone and he's in a meeting- sod it my need was greater than theirs! He told me how to turn the water off to the loo, which I did, rushed out to take mom, got back here and the towel I had placed by the loo to catch any drips was sodden- as was the rest of the bathroom floor! I was only gone 40 mins! Mopped it best I could, went out to pick mom up and take her home and came back and made some hasty phone calls.

Guess who's waiting for the plumber??

Hope everyones day is panning out better than mine lol x

MURIE oh gawd i hope your leak is all sorted now, isnt it stressful when you see loads of water, i go into panic mode! And why can you never get hold of anyone when its really urgent???? :rotfl: DD1 is doing fine she is going back to work tomorrow, still on soft food but its a wonderful excuse for comfort food like Macaroni Cheese and Pasta Bake etc :D DD2 is still not allowed to do housework or lift Thumper and has more exercises to do and still needs heat on back 4 times a day, thankyou for asking. Did your DD get her windscreen sorted?

I have hopefully turned a corner for my exercise (or lack of it of late lol) yesterday did 6.25 miles at dh's pace. and today i've done 5.5 miles and a half mile swim ... now if i can lock all the chocolate away in the house! lol hoping to get tot he pool at least once more this week. Christmas front - ordered a shopkins playset on amazon (was down to £6ish) and a shopkins doll from ebay ... got £75 saved so far need to replace the £25 i borrowed in the next few weeks.

Free- the plumber is here as I type! Hopefully weaving his magic on the loo, I REALLY don't want to have to get rid of the water in the cistern again by hand (used a cup and a floorcloth) I know it clean water but seriously- YUK! Apparently the seal has gone between the cistern and the pan.

Good news about DD1 teeth- she deserves comfort food after the pain she must have had! Poor DD2- bet she is tearing her hair out about not being able to lift Thumper (maybe not so desperate to do the housework though lol!)
DD is STILL waiting for Autoglass to contact her when they get the windscreen in stock. She txt me when she got to work this afternoon saying its getting worse- the drive to Uni this morning has caused it to spread. Autoglass reassured her its safe to drive as its laminated (or something like that!) so wont shatter when shes driving.

On the subject of comfort food- I am ashamed to say that I don't like macaroni cheese, everyone I know loves it but to me its a bit meh. I DO love cheese and potato pie though- its one of my real faves,- shame the SW version is not as nice! Stew in the slowcooker for tea, house smells lovely.
    lovin' this site!

Does anyone follow a low carb plan ? I really need to sort myself out and this seems to be a good option.

this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk
  • Evening everyone,

MSGIGGLEWICK ooh well done on the exercise, you must be well chuffed with that!

MURIE oh good hope it is all sorted now! Yes DD2 is tearing her hair out, she carries enough guilt around with her about being a working mum, this doesnt help but i keep telling her to look at it in the long term not the short term, but its hard! Aww your poor DD she must be on tenterhooks while driving, has the weather warmed up now in your area, that should be better for the glass i think?? Arrghh you dont like Macaroni Cheese :rotfl:haha it is a childhood favourite of mine and my kids love it too! I go back to being 10 again when i eat it haha

CHRISSY sorry i dont, has DDs jetlag got any better?

PIXIEFAIRYDUST haha it made me giggle but i knew what you meant :D i love the idea of the Rudy Day Tote, i am going to make one of them :D

MANDCO glad you have come on i have thought about you and if you are ok, wow 45 gifts already that is fab!! Well done you! Yes surprisingly Thumper and me are both ok atm :rotfl:I love the wordart idea on a cake, memories, friends, family, old enough to vote, clubbing, adulthood, celebration, birthday wishes, cake, candles, party, oh im not that good at these kind of things, sorry
