Morning- there is a Nails inc micro pedi and 2 polishes for £10 at Boots (using code on codes board). Its reduced from £60 which is a ridiculous price but for a tenner its a nice pressie. This keeps going in and out of stock. Ive just brought one for DDs birthday (July)

04624181 the best survery site for me is Ipsos I-say. I have got others but I find I build points up quickly with that one and have had a lot of products to test too. I have just got a £25 Amazon voucher and £10 into my Paypal account with GlobalTestMarket but it took me a while to get those points as I start a lot of surveys then get screened out as i'm not the target market!

CHRISSYG it's lovely to hear your DD is having a good time and I bet she'll love swimming with the dolphins!

good luck with the clearing out, it'll be good to have a fixed roof. Well done for losing a pound! Keep it going!

your poor DD, it is horrible when people are like that and there is no excuse. I hope she is ok and good for her for standing up for herself!

msgigglewick I hope you feel better soon.

pinknfluffy oh how frustrating for you!:mad: I don't see why they can't do anything, i'm sure there is always a way around these things. I hope you can get it sorted.

fiesty well done on using up your food bits, it's great to hear. You will be so grateful to have that food in the freezer when LO arrives, I had planned to do the same but I was sick for the whole of my pregnancy and couldn't bear a lot of foods so couldn't really make big batches of meals. I suppose in hindsight I could have asked someone else but I couldn't even bear to talk about a lot of foods either!

oh I hope your DD's windscreen gets fixed ASAP!

oh I love those Emma Bridgewater mugs! I showed DH the 'Mummy' mug online a few weeks ago and said I would love one (hint hint :p) let's see if anything happens!

Well I have finished my first cross stitch Christmas card and started on the next. I know this may sound a bit crazy but as well as my Christmas spreadsheet I have now set up an 'Occasions' spreadsheet with tabs like Valentine's, Easter, Halloween, birthdays etc so I can plan ahead what I want to do. This is more so that I can counteract my personality, I always have ideas and things that I want to do for various occasions but always leave it too late and then get annoyed with myself for not doing it! So I thought that if I started a spreadsheet and planned a few things on there then I can get myself organised ahead of time. For example I thought it would be nice for the Grandparents to get a Valentines card from Wiggle so i've ordered some card and heart stickers to make them and there's some little notes on Pinterest that I want to print off and stick on DH's desk. These were the types of things I would have had in my head then forgotten about in the past, so at least with it written down I might get them done!

Nothing much going on at mo, except DD came home from Uni earlier and has a massive crack in her windscreen so waiting for insurance company to get back to us. They haven't got the glass in stock (mini cooper) so guess who will be taking her to uni on a 3 hour round trip tomorrow morning and picking her up tomorrow night if they don't get back to her today? Yup- Moms taxi!

I think your spreadsheet sounds like a wonderful idea! I often pin things on pinterest with the best intentions and never actually get round to doing it, you have inspired me :)

Nothing new to report here! I've had to use one of my KIT days today which is a bit annoying, but our main business was in a bit of a pickle and needed sorting ASAP. Hopefully it will also generate some much needed income as our bookings have been on the decline for quite some time, but I never had any time to do advertising etc.

We have homemade fish pie tonight that has been taken from the freezer, so I'm looking forward to that. I may also defrost a few of the swirls for breakfast tomorrow as they are just so yummy!

Morning all, hope everyone is well, and hugs to those that need them (havent had time to catch up yet, so I apologise if I have missed anything important).

Just need a big vent - work havent paid me any of my overtime for December. Apparently my sheet got "misplaced". As I am supply, all of my hours are classed as overtime, so that's over 80 hours I am not being paid for this month.

I have told them they need to sort it out, and they are telling me there is nothing they can do.

To say I am livid is an understatement, and very very tempted to refuse to work until they have paid me - but that will probably just back fire so best not do that!

I had promised dd2 new clothes this month (which she is desperate for) and my amazon basket is filled with a couple of super good bargains for xmas (which isnt desperate, but still annoying).

    Grrrrrr

That is a nightmare, hope they can sort it out. How can they expect folk to survive? Our council is the same. I've just started a new job, so I missed the cut off for the first pay day, but I should get paid around the 10th of Feb. But one of the girls I work with didn't get her over time, she had about 70 hrs clocked up! But they did sort it out this week for her and she got it. But the other ladies have told me not to hold my breath as I the last new girl got nothing in at all on payday and she was chasing them up every month :-( I am already skint and worried about rent this month, never mind another without a wage. Someone isn't doing their job right.

Today I'm off to Silverburn in Glasgow to spend my Christmas vouchers my dad got me. I badly need tops and a pair of boots. My DD 10 wants to come with me,, so will have a nice girly day.

I have managed to lose 7lb over the last couple of weeks. Not even trying. But being at work has seen me moving around a lot more and not having time to snack on rubbish. We have a 15 minute break about 11:15 every day so I have been having a bowl of home made soup every day.

It's back to dance competition time tomorrow. It didn't seem like much of a break, but I can't wait for it. Both of my girls will be dancing tomorrow. I love watching them. Espeically my eldest and she is just a beautiful dancer and a pleasure to watch. The wee one is just starting out and is cute a button with her kilt outfit on.
This comp is one our dance school puts on each month. So I will be helping in the cafe to raise funds for the dance school. I look forward to gabbing with the mums in the kitchen. But all I have did is serve meals to kids and I will be doing the same on my day off lol.

Hope you all have a good Saturday. X

  • Thank you everyone who sent best wishes to my DD. Yes it was a really horrible thing to witness, someone you love that is so vibrant and outgoing becoming a shadow of herself! I'm not embarrassed to say Ive cried a lot over the last few weeks :(

Hey Ho, we have to look to the future and hopefully take lessons learnt from the past with us!

I have a long weekend and I get paid on Monday! Thank crunchie, its been a long month (6 weeks actually!).

FeistyFidgit - Thanks for the tip about the wrapping paper boxes in The R@nge, I'll have a look on Monday. I was thinking of trying Wilk0 too!

PinknFluffy28 - That's a lot of hours not to get paid for. Hope you get it sorted.

NewThrift - Thanks, I did some stockings this year for DD and DGD's and they turned out really well. I'll try to post a picture. I've also used xmas stockings to put a bottle of wine in for a friend! I like the idea that in years to come when a friend is putting up their decorations they will think of me! A couple of friend's in the past have given me tree decs and I always think of them when I get them out :)

PrincessKitty29 - I love your spreadsheet idea for other occasions not just Christmas. I tend to use my Filof@x still! old school! I have a filof@x for my everyday diary, one for my recipes and menu planning and one for Christmas, Birthdays and other special days. Bit OCD but that's me :rotfl:

Ok, off to have some soup and bread I feel in need of comfort food! Everyone at work has awful coughs and colds and I'm determined to try and stay well!

    Have a great weekend everyone!

  • Hi all,
freespirit66 and FeistyFidget, the weigh in was a surprise 3 ½lb off. I don't know how that happened. Nic2075. 7Lbs….wow….well done,
Nothing much happening just now. Last week at work then off for a week. I can't wait!
I have had a lazy day today catching up on lots of tv that I have recorded. I am going out tonight so I am off in the bath for a soak and a bit read.
    Hugs to all
