lord, what is going on? what a struggle to get on here! the links took me everywhere l didn't want to go!!!!!
Used to love watching the littlies dance when DD was part of it all, so l am all misty eyed thinking about you Nic,
This bl**dy rain is so depressing, cant settle to anything. l should really declutter a room ready to decorate but where can l put the stuff l don't want to declutter permanently.(not in the loft, that's for sure, upstairs is like a midden already with the stuff out of there that l cant part with!
DGS has said l can give all his lego away to my DGNephew, so that is a whole load to go, perhaps my nephew wont be too happy to get it all, there is tons of it.
Right then that's todays project sorted out, operation 'let go of lego' is going live now...... well, after a cup of coffee that is.
Hope you all have better weather than we have here, and a lovely Sunday.0 -
Hello All
I really must check in more often to keep up.
I have booked a break away we are going to Butlins Skegness in June just for the weekend. We go that much apparently we are now premiere members!
I went to Southwold every year camping as a kid, I have never been back since. I keep meaning to take my son, you have given me an idea where to go in the summer holidays.
What diet(s) does everyone follow? I really need to lose some weight but am not keen on the idea of calorie counting. I was thinking of getting one of those divider diet plates to see if that works, I am sure I put too much on my plate
I found some Lego mixels packets in Tesco the other day reduced to 75p so brought some of those for stocking fillers.
Loving the idea of a Christmas spreadsheet might have to give that a go.0 -
Well I've got my DD back she has had an amazing time swimming with Dolphins and stingrays and snorkelling on a coral reef ! Its the first time ever I have seen her sun tanned up until now I had thought she was part vampire.
She loved the whole experience so much she is thinking about going away with them to Australia next year and will definitely go to Africa the following year.
She is sleeping off her long journey so other than when I take her meds in I don't expect to see her until tomorrow !
Anyone looking for stocking fillers Tesco were selling ladies Christmas socks for 50p .This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
FreeSpirit - Thank you! Yes I love their names also!
MrsInvisible - No rain here! At least we aren't up to our eyes in snow like the east coast of USA! Looks bad!
Iammumtoone - Well done on the stocking fillers! I love Skeggy, some happy memories for me and my brother with grandparents :A
ChrissyG - Wow your daughter sounds like she had an amazing time :T Thanks for the heads up on Xmas socks in Mr T, I will pop in tomorrow.
Tomorrow is the 25th! 11 months to go! :xmastree: I am doing the Reindeer Club from the Organized Christmas plan. So I will be sorting through my xmas supplies and putting into storage boxes (that I intend to buy tomorrow) and drinking from my Christmas Mug :rotfl:

Try "Whole 30" or "paleo" - I prefer the former though, it's more 'authentic' (paleo is often a cop out term used by recipe makers, they say 'agave' is paleo, but it isn't - paleo man didn't have agave syrup, or macadamias!) - first time I did Whole 30 (and I did it on the 80/20 rule) I lost a dress size in two weeks. Now, I have adopted a lot of what I learned into my diet long term, didn't put much weight/size back on, and occasionally go strict Whole 30 for a week or two and end up losing a few pounds quite quickly. Word of warning: it ain't easy, it's hard work but you'll learn a lot about food and your own diet pretty quickly (you have to) and hopefully you'll keep most of the principles. It's not necessarily a short term crash diet, a lot of people have this 'diet' as their lifestyle.
Other than this you could try the 'zone' diet which works well for a lot of people.
Hope you get on ok!0 -
Morning everyone, i hope you all had a good weekend!
MRSINVISIBLE i hope you had a successful declutter yesterday
IAMMUMTOONE i am following the SW diet (although halfheartedly atm) i just need to stop picking
CHRISSY oh im so glad your DD has had an amazing time and has the confidence to be thinking of other holidays, good for her!! It does sound absolutely amazing and a once in a lifetime opportunity to do such lovely things
PIXIEFAIRYDUST ooh i forgot the Reindeer club starts today, thankyou for the reminder!
FEISTY well DDay is finally here, how are things?

good morning, ChrissyG so pleased you have DD back, and that she has had an incredibly good time.
Feisty, thinking of you and sending bub vibes.
Firemunchkin, l have never heard of either of these diets, l will check them out.
Pixiefairydust, you are so right to remind me that there are many, much worse things than rain.
Decluttering got off to a good start, lego train set sorted out and ready to go, plus some other models, and a big box of random bricks.
Mr Roof mender hasn't got here yet, to put up the scaffolding, but with the weather as it is l guess they are cabinned up waiting for a gap.
soup today will be carrot and coriander, with ginger. Scone dumplings might also make an appearance, although, of course, l shan't be tempted by them.
Now l will declutter the sideboard (just put my halo on the hatstand!)0 -
Chrissy- so pleased that DD had a whale (or dolphin rather) of a time! As Free says, a once in a lifetime experience that has given her confidence in leaps and bounds! Is she still wiped out by it or has she been telling you all about it?
Free- how is DD and the rest of the clan now?
Feisty- sending you all the positive vibes in the world, you'll be 'meeting' baby soon!
Mrs I Can you put my halo next to yours please? I got off to a good start, did 15 mins on exercise bike, walked the hound over the park, vacuumed, dusted general tidy up, ironed -all before 8.15. I was feeling quite smug!
Then it went downhill! Went to the bathroom (!)before I set off to take mom to hospital appt and the loo was gushing out water from underneath! Cue panic as I only have 10 mins before I am due at moms! I rang DH on his private phone to see if he could give me any advice- phone unavailable! Grr! Rang his work phone and he's in a meeting- sod it my need was greater than theirs! He told me how to turn the water off to the loo, which I did, rushed out to take mom, got back here and the towel I had placed by the loo to catch any drips was sodden- as was the rest of the bathroom floor! I was only gone 40 mins! Mopped it best I could, went out to pick mom up and take her home and came back and made some hasty phone calls.
Guess who's waiting for the plumber??
Hope everyones day is panning out better than mine lol xlovin' this site!

I follow low carb high fat route. the weight is falling off. Sign up to Myfitnesspal & search on the Low carber daily forum. there is masses of advice & links but it depend what you need to lose. I'm diabetic type 2 & need to lose 60lbs, this way of eating works for me, meat, salad, oils, eggs, meat lol but might not work for othersI don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.
