Peppapig I am so, so sorry to hear about your diagnosis, it must have come as a great shock to you. As others have said I am glad you have shared this with us, even though I haven't met anyone from this thread, over the years I have come to care about you all and what happens in your lives. I imagine this news has been very hard to get your head around, I hope you have a good support network around you to help you through this. We are always here too whenever you need to chat. I am sure the next few months won't be easy, but you are a strong woman and will be able to cope whether you believe it or not. And even on the days when you feel like you're not coping, you will still get through and come out the other side. I hope you don't mind me saying all of these things, it's just that a close friend of mine has recently come through a battle with breast cancer and i've seen how she has dealt with everything and come through it all a stronger woman. I am also really sorry to hear about your beloved dog, i'm sure you need her now more than ever. These things really do test us! We're all here for you. :grouphug: xx0

_party_HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY CLUMSY! _party_ I hope you had a lovely day.
murie wow 30 years! I bet it feels like that's flown by. Yes I think i'll enjoy doing Valentines things with Wiggle. I hope your DH gets better soon.
freespirit my mum developed seasonal asthma in her 40's so I guess it can still happen any time. I hope they can find out what's causing it. Bless Thumper expecting the dog to cheer him! So cute. Wiggle LOVES the washing machine, he always goes to find it in other people's houses too!
JJ so glad to hear you are out of hospital, that seizure sounded nasty so i'm glad they've been able to give you some meds to help. I hope you can take time to relax so that this new procedure can help you. Just do lots of Christmas planning from your sofa!
newthrift yay glad my spreadsheet helped! I saw an advert for Sugar Free Farm and thought it looked good, I might try to get it on demand and series link the rest.
nitnurse I hope you managed to navigate home shopping ok! We've used vouchers like that before to stock up on store cupboard staples.
CHRISSYG oooh let us know how you find online shopping with Poundshop, thanks for the link.
nic i'm sorry to hear about your aunt being diagnosed with the same heart condition. I hope your dad is doing ok with his chemo? Good luck with the healthy eating, i'm generally pretty good too but also have the odd thing here and there that soon adds up! I am trying to do better to and incorporate some exercise in my life, I do loads of walking with Wiggle but really must do more.
Vulpix glad you had a lovely time in Amsterdam and that you've got a functional kitchen back! I find it stressful having people over when the place isn't up to scratch but in the end it never really matters! Glad it all went ok.
Fiesty I do hope no news is good news!
I've been AWOL for a while as I have a new organisational system in place which means that I actually DO my to-do list, but then i've ran out of time to pop on here! I think I will now have to put this on my to-do list to make sure that doesn't happen!
The Valentines cards are made for the grandparents, I now need to do one for DH from Wiggle. I've got some red and white string that i'm going to stick red hearts to and hand from the light fitting over the dining table and i've already got a red tablecloth. We're actually going to be at my parents in law on the morning of V day as we've got a meeting with our builder on the 13th to choose fittings etc for the new house. Wiggle and I are going to make some little heart cheese bites to give to MiL & FiL and i'm going to get a meal deal for the evening for DH and I. I am LOVING my new s/s - i've never been this organised! Anyway I must get up and get on with some packing as Wiggle and I are going to stay with my parents for a couple of nights. I'm a bit apprehensive as Wiggle hasn't stayed in his travel cot since Christmas and he's quite big in it now so I don't know how he'll be. I still get quite stressed about these things and DH not being around, I really need to learn to chill out a bit more!0 -
oh PEPPAPIG i am so sorry you're going through all that. sending a big hug!
i am sure feisty is very busy atm though hoping she posts on here soon with her storyhope everything is going smoothly for you xx
Got a few more tescos toy bargains this last week. they seemed to knock alot of the sale toys down to £1 in ours yesterday and started emptying the shelves to do a reshuffle this morning so timed it right. Grabbed a few bits for party gifts for dd4's friends and various other bdays/events that pop up unexpectedly over the year.
Not been up to much really. Finally sorted my desk out so xmas has all been out away mostly. Bathroom should be getting done on monday/tuesday unless plumber cancels again... won't be amused if he does!
Need to keep my eye out for some nike trainers and zipped hoodie for dd3's bday in april and a gift for my mums bday in march.Totally debt free wohooo 2014

Hello everyone. Popping back in to say hi.
Thank you for all the birthday wishes. Had a lovely day including the most delicious pizza! :T
Peppapig - I'm so sorry for your loss and news. Hope 2016 improves for you. xx
Not much going on here apart from endless reading and studying.
Hope everyone is as well as can be xx“In 900 years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important”

So sorry to hear your news PeppaPig. My aunty had bowel cancer a few years back now, she's fully recovered now thankfully but I remember it really took it's toll on her and my uncle. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that the news is as good as it can be.
I've not got much to report really. I have picked up the odd thing over the last few weeks that I have put away for Christmas, but no real planning has happened.
However, I did pass another assignment on my Open University course, which I was so pleased about. I struggled with it as although it's something I deal with all the time in work, it was hard putting my explanations etc in to words. I would have been happy to get 55/100 which is the benchmark for a Pass but I actually got 75! :j
I popped in Home Bargains last week as I had an hour to spare and I picked up a great over door mirror. Its got the hooks in the pack which just attach to the back with no screws or anything, then it just hangs over the door. It's great for our spare room as it's the smallest of the bedrooms, so a stand alone mirror just wouldn't have been possible in there as it would take up much needed space. I was really pleased with it and it was only £6 or £7, so I am considering getting another one now for DD's bedroom.
I've also been feeling rather productive at home as I've been getting some pictures up on the walls and putting some photos in to frames that we have had for ages. I don't usually put anything up on the walls myself as I would be afraid to drill the walls but I have been using those command strips. They are great because now I don't have to wait months for OH to get around to putting things up :rotfl:. I probably won't use them for heavier frames though, but for the smaller frames and some of the medium size canvasses I ordered from Photobox they are perfect.0 -
Murie – The hash browns were really nice. I did them in the ‘lean mean grill machine’ but will try the oven next time.
Peppa - The biggest of hugs and support to you right now!! I echo what everyone else has said to xxxxxxxxx
Nitnurse – Even if you wake up early, nothing better than stopping in bed with a good book. Enjoy your week off.
Princesskitty – Sounds like you will have a lovely V day. I’m sure Wiggle will be fine don’t worry
Moneymission – Well done :T
Nothing much happening over here. We had a beautiful covering of snow this morning, maybe around 3" but the sun has come out and it's pretty much all melted now. I echo the feeling of a few of you, I'm hoping Feb is going to be better. I normally love January (especially as it's my birthday month) but this one got off to a bumpy start. Fingers crossed 2016 improves.
Big hugs and snowy love all round.
xChristmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Newthrift- glad the hash browns turned out well.
Nit-nurse2 - enjoy your week off, hopefully you will get to have a few more lie ins.
Princesskitty- yes 30 years has flown by- I feel OLD now I have written that!
MoneyMission- well done on passing the difficult assignment. I want a new mirror hanging in the dining room but the one I want is seriously heavy and DH cant drill the wall til his back is better so I will have to wait.
Mrs Gigglewick- hope bathroom is sorted sooner rather than later. Ive spent the last 2 days painting the bathroom, it looks good now but I am shattered!
Free- yes he was packing up his office as they are moving into new premises in March. Tbh- Im not sure if he will stay with this company, there are a few things he isn't happy about. How is DS now? My DS has had asthma since he was 3, although it doesn't bother him too much nowadays, only when its really bitingly cold, but he does need to monitor it. Ive been thinking- I am sure I remember being told when DD was small and I was poorly that there is such a thing as a 90 day cough- maybe this is what you DS has?
Chrissy- that's good about the turkeys, If I wasn't so shattered I would go and see if my local has any lol.
DD windscreen is being fitted tomorrow morning- supposedly! I will believe it when I see it.lovin' this site!

Just popping in to say Hello. I'm very very slowly getting round the house work today. I was on a roll this morning with the bathroom, but going for my nails doing and food shopping has meant I lost my mojo with it haha!!
Waiting for the photographer from our wedding to ring so I can go through our 100 photo's we picked for the album.
Not sure what I'm doing for tea tonight, not sure what I feel like eating atm (meal planning has gone slightly out the window).
Nothing much Christmas related happening here yet. Hoping to sit and get some sort of list together, most likely on a spreadsheet now i'm on a roll with that
Hope everyone is ok xChristmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Hello chums,
Peppa,I don't want to offer advice as I didn't want it when I had cancer but just wanted to say, this time next year your treatment will be behind you and perhaps you can look forward to getting a little dog.x
I have been poorly, well still am but on the mend now.My cold from the other week resurrected itself into a shocking bad chest.Sweating, shivering, the full monty.
I have spent £18 on 12 gifts since Christmas. Not bought with anyone in mind.I like to have stuff in for birthdays etc. There must be a good £40 RRP.
We have a floor!!!!!!!flows from the front door into downstairs loo and through the hall into the kitchen.Tomorrow we will have skirting boards so I am going out to buy emulsion if I feel up to it.If I had a painting party would you all come?
Hope aldeeeeeee have some turkey bargains left when I go.
