FREE so glad you had a fabulous weekend, it all sounds lovely.

Congratulations on your move TREASUREQUEEN. Glad to see you've got your priorities right - decs first lol.

MURIE I can understand how the MRI has made you claustrophobic. I was lucky when I had mine because as they were scanning my lower body I went in feet first. Mind you I don't like flying anyway. I do so want to see the northern lights though.

VULPIX how did you feel today? Are you still honking?

Had a lovely relaxing afternoon watching show jumping on the tv, made me think back to when I was a mega fan in the late sixties/early seventies and knew who all the competitors were. When it finished we got ourselves moving and went to the garden centre for a couple of bits completely forgetting it was Sunday so they'd already shut!

Project Santa Paws is in its last days and has gone really well. The bags and boxes have taken over the downstairs loo, the utility room and the back half of the lounge! Good job we took one lot to the RSPCA at the end of November. Fortunately the rest go on Tuesday and Wednesday so by the time DGD comes up on Thursday we should have room to fit her in! People have been so generous though, animal people are so caring and I'm so glad we did it.

    Morning!

apologies for being AWOL again, its been one thing after the other this last week.

Had the big xmas party, was loved by all. Made 200 biccies for said party and had to throw the lot away after a dodgy batch of flour made everything taste like soap (our soap is kept in a different room so I'm guessing it was the supermarket who fluffed up). Chest freezer was supposed to be delivered yesterday, they didn't turn up, 45 mins this morning shouting at them. Also found out losing my job on xmas eve, so that was fun too.

Oh and I've had two hours of sleep.

Think I might pop for a nap whilst its quiet. Think I might need a couple of valium to get me through this week.

DOMRAVIOLI you've definitely not had a good week or so. How annoying about the biscuits, all that effort wasted. Sorry to hear about the job - Christmas Eve is not exactly great timing but hopefully it's less losing a job and more being freed up to explore new opportunities in the new year.

Crumbs Dom.it never rains but it pours.Get your head down and catch up with some sleep. At least you will then not feel ill on top of it all.xx

I got up this morning, put the dishwasher on a couple of times and went back to bed.It is years since I had a rotten cold like this.I am still occasionally honking. At the carol service last night I felt dizzy with the effort of singing.Thank goodness I am 99 % organised for Christmas.I still have done no wrapping whatsoever.

Free your weekend does sound lovely.Your children are so nice.I wish there was a word for grown up children,I think it sounds odd to call adults children.I bet Germans have a word for it!

I forgot to say the other day Peppa a trip to see Santa with your Granddaughter would be amazing.I was thinking about the bucket list some more. I would like to visit Hadrians wall and Lindisfarne.None of this jumping out of aeroplanes malarkey for me.

I might venture downstairs for some leftovers from last night:o
The chocolate orange cheese cake is yummy btw and very easy to make.

    Vx

Aw thanks V. Hope you're soon feeling better, these colds seem to be hanging around for weeks. Glad you were able to go and sing but just shows how poorly you must be for it to have taken so much out of you.

Well we have no heating or hot water today and it's a tad Chilly! Fortunately we've got a coal fire going in the front room and the engineer is hoping to get here later today but if he doesn't it's going to be freezing by tomorrow, these old Victorian houses don't retain heat if it isn't constantly being replenished!
