Framalamadingdong- that wreath is beautiful- very Nordic colours.
Mrs I- I don't have a theme to my tree- everything on it has a meaning and a memory that (like yours) raises a smile when I see them.
Clumsy- mmn what is special about the toast? Ive never heard of Booths (Birmingham)
Chrissy- we went to se the Coke truck a few years back and I was really disappointed (sorry everyone who loves it and has seen it), mind you it was in broad daylight so wasn't at its most magical.
Hanley- don't go back into the gloom- stay with us please! I think a lot of us feel as if our Christmas mojo fizzles out early December (hopefully it reappears nearer the big day). Those cards are lovely btw!
Peppa- glad you are germ free- stay that way please! Lovely news about littlest DGS x
Well I have wrapped my allotted 5 presents today-Im still waiting for the ribbon to come so I can jazz them up. Im going for the magic number of 7 to wrap tomorrow- lets see if I can stick to plan.lovin' this site!

Thanks everyone. It was simple to make and essentially free. The fabric was just scraps, not big enough to make anything with, left over from another project and the wreath base is one mum gave me years ago when she was thinning out her Christmas stuff.
Don't worry, I'll be keeping my lovely decorations peppa.
Great news about your DGS! I love the saucy bit. My son often calls my dad by his first name, which cracks me up as my brothers did the same thing when they were little.
I like your cards Hanley, I'm rubbish with paper crafts. That said I just made my own gift tags today! Mostly just with stamps though!0 -
That wreath looks great, very professional.
Peppa, long may you stay bug free. (note to self, 'get your flu jab') Timer and list success yesterday, hall and living room decorated, and one hamper completed. Just the conservatory left and final hamper, then reload the loft and clean up everywhere. 5 presents in yesterdays post, all wrapped and tagged, go, me!
DGS was roped in to carry heavy stuff down stairs for me, l had to laugh when he said 'l feel like one of santa's elves' as, at 6' 2''+, anyone less elflike would be hard to find.
Fave cous and her DH came round yester evening for him to look at my new 'not sky' box, he was impressed and is going to get one. That is two l have converted. She admired my tartan throw, which is good, as l have bought one for her for Christmas, with a matching cushion.
My intention of making a vegan meal every other night has added more slabs to my paved road to hell. Also means that DS1 will get unpractised food. Well, that's the new plan. Do l hear a cement mixer?0 -
Murie - Booths is a northern supermarket chain. Think Waitrose - not cheap! I like the cafe though. The toast is three doorstop slices. Really shouldn't have eaten it all but I did. :rotfl:
Fran and Hanley - Love your makes! :T
Well guess who's joining the germ club? I've come down with something and I have another lovely fever. It's rather ruining my christmas spirit.“In 900 years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important”

Afternoon everyone, another not very christmassy here, PEPPAPIG that is exactly how i get peak november, then meh until nearly christmas eve. I only have to get food now so have been going through what christmassy bits each supermarket has and writing lists, thankyou for all your stories about your trees over the years, i cant believe i got so het up over it??
PEPPAPIG glad you are staying germ free, bless DGS, Thumper is being referred to see if he has slight autism as he has a few traits, although the last couple of weeks he is steaming along with words, and for the first time he was playing with another little boy at nursery last week so we shall see
FRAN i love the wreath i have always wanted to make one of those you clever thing

Clumsy- as long as you enjoyed the toast ... it is Christmas after all!
Mrs Moneypenny - your inbox is full
Mrs I- its nice to know in advance that your present will be well appreciated and liked.
Free- I feel a bit brighter today thank you, still as limp as a wet lettuce!
I broke my record today and wrapped 11 presents not 7 as intended, mostly because my ribbon came in the post and I was able to jazz them up so that made it less of a task. More of the same tomorrow...lovin' this site!

Well DS is much better today. Kept him off again as school said not to bring him back for 48 hours. He's definitely going in tomorrow though. Just a shame that he's missed his concerts this year. DD's concert last night was great though. If she wasn't nattering to her best friend, she was either pulling faces at us or over exaggerating the dance moves :rotfl: I spent the whole thing chuckling at her! She was definitely the most mischievous angel in the nativity.
Thanks for the lovely welcome back. I'm definitely starting to feel more Xmassy!Savings Account - £0.00

plumduff love the jumper bet it looks really cute on. My knitting skills end at basic squares
murie hope your feeling better soon
Hanley poor ds noroviris is bad enough but what awful timing with the concert was he really disappointed? Love the stag cards
fran love the wreath very pretty
Peppa great news about dgs. Fingers crossed you stay germ free
Freespirit the tree looks great you can't really tell but if it is a little bit wonky that just adds to the character anyway.Ours is currently doing a leaning tower of pisa impression thanks to the cat who's knocked it over twice already and bent the centre pole. Hope your feeling better
ChrissyG hope dd enjoyed the coca cola truck we missed it this year as it was a school night and taz is so exhasted when he gets home it wasn't worth the meltdown taking him out.
MrsI go you you've achieved loads. lovely to know your xmas present will be appreciated.
Thanks for the suggestions re ideas for dd 's subscription
Well the decs still aren't up but I have wrapped all my presents
The cat is def on santa's naughty list as not only did he have the tree over but he smashed my stag hurricane vase
have to say I have been pretty impressed with my boots no7 calendar so far the makeup bits are lovely natural colours and the skincare items have been decent sizes I def think I'd get one again
Had a mooch around winchester market this week didn't buy anything other than some over priced cakes but they had some lovely stuff. It was quite busy and the boys were bored so didn't get to have a proper look at everything but there's even a stall selling wooden reindeers like the ones peppa made along with snowmen & santas. Not sure on prices as some of the stalls didn't have any prices listed which I find a little annoying.
This 1st week has flown by and the kids break up next week so need to try and get the last bits I need for them before then. Its mainly stocking fillers for the older ones who are harder to find bits for.
