Good Morning.Hello to new joiners and no chance of popping up and expecting to slink off again basket case.
Once again you have entertained me with your news,I love to hear it all. That's what I miss about not going to work anymore, hearing peoples news.
Mr V has been at it again yesterday! buying gifts whilst not there that is. He bought me Gin flavoured with elderflower.I also got a cute biscuit tin in Sainsbury's with scotty dog carousel and Christmas music.I don't usually shop in Sains as it is a good drive away for me but if any of you do and you notice they have reduced their Christmas decs please give me a shout. Not that I need any but I did like some of them and if they were half price they would be a bargain wouldn't they.
O Free you over estimate my abilities. The mirror is bad I'm not humble bragging as the kids say Haha.
Forgive me if I am repeating myself here.Phoned my friend yesterday (argh this decorators whistling if driving me insane!!!!!!)
She is the head of a tiny village school.I am going in next week to read to the whole school.I can't wait.I miss the kids so much now I don't work.Don't miss the work btw just the kids.
Again I may be repeating myself.I am the local radio's Christmas story lady.I am broadcast on Christmas Eve.( would it be ok to stab him?)Well I cannot find a suitable story for love nor money and I have been looking all year. They are either too long, too reliant on pictures etc.So my son in Canada has written a story.I have tweaked it and I will road test it at the school next week.I know it's good, better than the one i had to read last year which was one of those stories personalised to where you live.I will get them to do me some pictures, aaaaaaaaaaahxxxxx
Off to Nottingham today to take MIL out for lunch.Mainly to get out from under decorators feet.He is coming Sat and Sun as well.It will be such a shock to not have plaster coloured walls.Plumber coming later to re position a radiator from hall to porch.Joiner cancelled new worktop and sink in kitchen till next year now.I'm not sorry. At least i have a kitchen this Christmas.
O I don't have an address to send my card swap to.??????

Just lost my post so starting again
I see you too BASKETCASE so you're definitely delurked!:D
MURIE I think either a bottle green like BASKETCASE suggested or a deep burgundy. I agree with CLUMSY too, I buy all my ribbon from eBay. The reindeer were quite straightforward although doing the heads is harder. They could be smaller quite easily by chopping a bit off the legs and neck lol. Re the card swap, are we sending to the person who sends to us or are we sending to one but receiving from another?
GTQ congratulations but yuk lol.
VULPIX hope you have a lovely lunch with MIL. I hate having people in doing work, especially if they have a radio on. Still, it will all be over soon and will be well worth it!
Well the tree didn't get put up yesterday after all as I was too tired by the time I was ready to do it. It will def be up by the weekend though. I've put the covers on the back if the dining chairs but no decs done other than that. I need to get a wriggle on or I'll be behind. Our last ore-Christmas birthday is on Sunday (DD) so it's def countdown to Christmas from Monday. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Christmas card swap
As I didn't want to be accountable for giving out peoples personal details I have pm'd you all who you are to swap with. When you contact them for their address include your own so that they can send you their card. (Does that make sense or am I talking double dutch as my nan used to say).
I like the idea of burgundy- I didn't think of that! Im not sure that green will go with the paper, but a chocolate brown might be nice. I will scour ebay in a while.
Vulpix, enjoy time away from the workmen. That sounds a lovely idea that your DS has written a story- let us know how you get on with the 'trial run' .
Basketcase- no more lurking! Thank you for the suggestions x
Clumsy- that's pants that the stars don't fit the criteria of the challenge.
0418- Im in favour of an early show as I think most of us will be itching to tidy out Christmas stuff away by then end of December. Enjoy your church evening x
Peppa- I don't think I could attempt those reindeer and I now for a fact that DH couldn't help- he is awful at DIY! We don't let him near a DIY project very often as it ends up costing a shed load of money to get things put right! Having said that he said he is going to paint the kitchen next week- that is one thing that he can do well (hopefully!). Your tree will look lovely whenever it goes up, no rush x.
Mrs I- hope everything is OK and that you are just busy getting ready for the China contingents arrival.
Right, off to look at ribbons on ebay.lovin' this site!

Hello all
Staying at my mums at the moment and the place looks like winter wonderland- it's absolutely beautiful, looks like something out of a magazine!
I'm all done now- all presents delivered, just got one present left to give my friend. Still haven't stopped buying though!! Since last time I bought my mum a CD and some pyjamas, my Dad a book and a talc set from M&S, some pyjamas and socks for my friend and 3 CD's, 2 tubes of L'Occitane hand cream and a glovebox kit for OH!
I also bought my present to me from OH today. I was gutted after I had to return the second hand Michael Kors watch I bought after the strap broke so OH said he would buy me another but would only spend what I had originally spent on it (£85)I couldn't find anything I liked and certainly not another Michael Kors one for that price but I was passing Goldsmiths Boutique today and they had a half price sale on Michael Kors watches. I fell in love with one and it was £159. I thought that I would just put the £85 towards it but he's agreed to pay the whole lot-result! It's a gorgeous watch and I love it*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -

Thank you. My offspring chose the name - I used to weave rush baskets. Even so, I'm constantly surprised they've survived to the ages they have... :rotfl:A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!
