Peppa- I had an email saying it would be 10 days from order. which was placed 2nd November. I remembered too late to ring them today so I will be on the phone first thing in the morning!

I just lurk on this thread as I'm in awe of your preparations for Christmas but saw the comments about Spode mugs and just wanted to let you know that my local TKMaxx had masses of Spode Christmas tree patterned serving dishes and tableware at the weekend. Lots of different shapes and sizes.

Thought it was worth a mention in case anyone wanted matching dishes.

Brilliant news peppa, so pleased for you.
Hope everyone is as can be you all sound really busy.
Currently reading it started with a kiss which is a bit festive as it starts and will finish during the Christmas period. Enjoying it so far.

Saw the airport ad yesterday with the two old teddy bears in cash and Dave song backs the ad. It's lovely and really sweet, plus it fits the product as it's about getting back together with family at Christmas.
The altzimers/dementia ad about santa forgetting Christmas actually made me cry and I found it incredibly sad. But it did touch a nerve as my dad is suffering and the most recent time we took him out he barely acknowledged me and looked blank when I called him dad. My poor step mum managed to keep the conversation going and has a lot to cope with.

It was my dd1s birthday yesterday, I managed to get her favourite singer to send her a birthday wishes tweet which she was made up about, were taking her to his concert next week. Can't wait.

Morning all, I received my Spode Christmas mugs the other day, am somewhat pleased with them as bought one for DH and I however, they are really thick and was hoping they were fine bone,I forgot to look when ordering...However our "Hot Chocolate" sessions will be even nicer, I was hoping to find the stripey spoons for sale as they looked nice but I can't find them anywhere if anyone knows I'd appreciate it.
Hope you are all keeping warm, it's quite fresh here in the wind on the end of the coast... I'm sure you are all busily squirrelling for Christmas....Not Many customers here in the shop this morning so far... they are admiring the Christmas window display, my mum puts her all into it and has a wonderful collection of Salvation Army dolls that are happily carolling away while stood on a blanket of snow, very old style and quaint...

I rang Parks this morning and was told that my mugs were dispatched 3 days ago and lo and behold, as I predicted, they came in the post this morning! I am pleased with them and they are now wrapped and in moms and DSs advent presents. Happy days!
