Oh nic you have had a rough year. I'm sure you'll have a lovely day wherever you celebrate. I tend to have the morning with my little boy, then we head to my parents' and we stay for a few nights, usually going home on my birthday, which is a bit depressing, so we might go home a day early this year. I'll be 30 this year and there's nothing that I want to do that I can do
I want to see Matilda, but my DD is still a little too young.
GTQ I suggested the pasta bait poison. Was it in the blue sachets and smelled really sweet?0 -

That's it, it is sitting there untouched. They must have more discerning taste!A smile costs little but creates much0 -
Seems as if everyone is gearing up with their Christmas plans from reading back a page or two. I'm hopefully going to be back on track today after a few days occupied with irritating issues (that's the plan anyway!)
Peppa- yay on ordering the tree- bet it will look beautiful! And an even bigger YAY!!! for today x.
GTQ- hopefully you have sorted your visitor issue x
Nic- it does sound as if your sister is biting off a big chunk to handle with a new baby, both physically and emotionally in having Christmas at her house. (My DD was an 'assisted ' baby and the emotional relief at finally having her here after so many issues really knocked me for six, I wouldn't have been able to host a family Christmas at that time as I was all over the place). Im sure you and your other sister will take the strain as and when needed though x
Mrs I- enjoy your floristry , your DN ( I think?) is lucky to have you x
Free- still not watched a Christmas film yet! Might try to sample Costas festive drinks offerings at some point today.
Framalamadingdong- love that name!! Birthdays just after Christmas are really difficult aren't they?
I cant remember anything else so if I have missed you out im sorry its not intentional!
Don't forget if you want to take part in the Christmas card swap pm me and I will add you to the list. I am pairing names up as they come in and will pm you details of who you will be swapping with on 1st December so you can contact them direct for their address.
Take care xlovin' this site!

Morning all
Hope everyone is alright or as well as can be.
Did a bit of Christmas craft prepping yesterday, I'm making wreath decorations with the kiddies at school on decoration day so yesterday I sprayed 28 CDs green and found the wool buttons and ribbons they'll need from my stash. I just need 2 more CDs but will find them before Dec 1st.SPC~12 ot 124

It's those emotions and physical exhaustion I was thinking of too Murie. You don't realise how much it will hit you until you have the baby. Until your first, most people have never experienced sleep deprivation and that emotional roller coaster.
Im more than happy to do all the cooking etc, I think I would have found it easier at mine as I have a bigger kitchen ( more surfaces anyway) all the equipment and a dishwasher :j. They have just moved into their new house a month ago, so are all excited to do it up for xmas. It will be fine I'm sure. Just don't want her to regret it by just wanting peace in her house. I suppose there will be plenty family to watch the baby and let them all take a nap if they want.
Hopefully I'll be able to pop over on xmas eve morning and potter about in her kitchen and prepare all the veg and tatties etc there. And bring the turkey with us on Xmas morning. X:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

I have a friend who is terrified of dentist, pitched up for her appointment a few minutes early, receptionist said "you're early", "not that much" "no, you're very early" " it's only a few minutes" "no, you're a week early!" My friend nearly lost the plot at having to psych herself up again for the following week:DA smile costs little but creates much0 -
Morning all! Today I am attempting to order my xmas food. I think I may buy one of those wheeled trolleys in advance so that I can walk into town to collect it all. It's a mile or 2 away but parking will be atrocious otherwise.:xmassmile:rudolf:0

Hi,
Went to a Chrstmas market on Sunday which was lovely. Spending Christmas day just us two and the cats in the cottage so have booked a Christmas meal out with OH's parents the week before and there will be carolling to lantern light afterwards which sounds festive.
Bought some burlap / jute to wrap my presents in with thick red twine. No sellotaping for me this year. Just waiting for a few more presents to arrive and can start wrapping.
Regarding adverts, I think Waitrose is my favourite this year with Sainsburys as a close second. However, I don't think any have been quite up to scratch this year.0
