Happy Belated Birthday Mrs I!!! (Sorry I missed it x) Is it the wedding this week?
Peppa- I haven't seen the M&S ad yet but your description made me laugh -said like a typical Mom!!
Nic- Aldi do a nice cheaper version of Baileys its not as sickly sweet or as thick (which I prefer). Keep your eyes peeled for the M&S offers as they usually do some scrummy drinks along the same lines (Yule log and sherry trifle flavours spring to mind. The are usually about the £6 mark),
IF ANYONE WANTS TO TAKE PART IN THE CHRISTMAS CARD SWAP pm me as we are currently at 4. Sorry I have written in capitals but I wanted to draw it to everyone's attention. Shall we set a cut off date of 1st December? I think after that date everyone will be busy gearing up with school and other activities etc , I will couple names up and then we can exchange addresses with those we are swapping with . Does that sound OK?
We are having the Aldi Turkey parcel for lunch today - it has a cranberry and orange stuffing. Cant wait to try it- its makes me feel quite Christmassy! I wrote my Christmas cards yesterday for extended family and neighbours so that is another task off my list! The car passed its MOT which was another plus!
I really want to start wrapping the presents but my paper is a copper foil that I know will mark easily so if I wrap too early they will get knocked and the foil will look shabby on the day ( I have wrapping OCD!!).
I picked up my Reindeer T shirt from Asda yesterday, Im really pleased with it, cant wait to wear it at the Good Food Show in few weeks time, which for me is the official start of Christmas!
Hope everyone has a good day xlovin' this site!

I'm off work this week and got a few shopping trips planned. I only tend to pick up a few gifts in a trip as I'm nearly always on public transport therefore limited to what I can carry. Just got to get the sweets for the younger members of the family plus finish off the gifts for the adults.
Also need to get some Christmas cards and start writing them as I've not got round to getting a Christmas stamp made yet. I've always struggled with tasks that involve lengthy periods of writing. Thank goodness that computers were invented!
Hope that everyone enjoys the remainder of the weekend.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Ideas:
Nail polish, Lottery ticket/scratchcard, hot chocolate sachet, lip gloss/balm, USB stick, pen, torch, wind up toys etc
Not sure of your budget - if you could give some idea of how much you could spend per item then we might be able to suggest further appropriate items.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Good morning,
Happy belated Birthday mrs I.xx
I never look at the list,I am sorry.Thank Goodness Free does!
3 Forholidays please could I be added to the birthday list.12th March. That will make birthdays every month of the year.At the moment there are none in March.
Mrs m your elf is lovely, you are very talented.
I don't watch telly. If i do it's catch up so I can skip the ads so I haven't seen most of the ones you are talking about.I did catch the JL one,it made me smile. The dogs face.
Just watched the M&S one, thought it was a bit long.Did like the 40 shades of red book and her arran jumper! Thanks for the link Carlislelass.
Murie I will PM you about the Christmas card swap,Thank You for organising it.
Went into a town yesterday,it was busy.Just picked up a mulled wine candle which I started last night and an Elmo back pack for DD2 she is a bit goth/grunge (!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????)Only £6 from HB.As I was shoving him in our wardrobe I found a giant Lindor sweet I had bought her ages ago and forgotten about.
I really am done and must not buy anything else.
I went and chose the children's book from the book shop who will be sponsoring me to read the Christmas story on our local radio station.I only read the first couple of pages and Mr V said yep.I will have to take it back and choose another. It's dull and nothing happens.
I got a fb message last night to say a friend from up the road was in hospital with a broken leg waiting for an op to have it pinned.I will put a note through her door for her grown up son to say I am available for dog walking if needed.I have no idea how she managed to break her leg.It couldnt be the dogs pulling her over they are tiny. You might know she is booked to go to New Zealand at Christmas. She might just be better in time.Fingers crossed.
I need to do some tidying up now.Have been making a Christmas patchwork throw instead of housework. So much so my hand hurts now so need a rest.Oh I have finished the stocking craft, not exciting at all and have got everything for the reindeer one on the kitchen table.I hope we continue with the crafts all year through.I have enjoyed it.

Just a very quick run in as have so much to do & so little time.
Collected my new car yesterday morning, so strange to drive with out a key! In love with it though & my brother loves the colour. Got home for about 15 mins, so no time to do anything worthwhile, except lay mousetraps  there is a little s**t in my bedroom who has stuck his fingers up to everything, and has done the same again to the traps laid around the room. Looking as if I will have to resort to using then glue traps, which I don't want:eek:
Then left to see Mama Mia. Was fabulous except we had a gaggle of women behind & beside us who sang every song at the top of their voices, which meant we could hear the cast properly, the were amazing though.
Then rushed back for a quiz night I was roped into entering, we came the worst place 4th out of 11 teams. We knew we wouldn't win as there is a team which regularly do pub quizzes so they won yet again.
Was in church this morning for what felt like the most moving rembrance service I have ever been at. A bugler did the last post which sent shivers up my spine, it was such a soft but powerful rendition. So did my 2 mins there and again at 11 in Sainsbugs.
Been invited to lunch for 2, so when I get back, housework, washing, ironing, homework to do, all before David Attenborough. I'm good, but not that good.
Will catch up properly, have a good day everyoneA smile costs little but creates much0 -
