I like the JL advert too it has a real feel good factor (which is scarce these days). Having said that I also like the Aldi one (I too was surprised it was Aldi) as it appealed to my sense of humour (which can be a bit strange sometimes I admit lol!). Jl adverts are becoming something of a modern tradition as are Aldi, both for different reasons but both equally entertaining in my book.
Missmoose- it was me that said DH would have a fit if I decorated the bedroom- I still don't reckon I could get away with even a tiny amount of Christmas in there!
DR- wow you have been busy! Don't overdo it though x
LMG- that's lovely- I like the backing paperlovin' this site!

Peppa- I may have changed my mind about my reindeer challenge too, as I had finished it and was quite pleased with how it turned out. Then I stupidly left it behind the kitchen sink where splashes have wrecked the paint. Im not sure I can rescue it but I will try.
0421... Im fairly sure it was you that suggested a Christmas card swap but I noticed that you haven't been on for a while. I don't want to step on your toes but I would be willing to try to organise the swap if you don't mind. If anyone who wants to take part in the swap pm's me and I will start to put names together.
Nothing much Christmassy today just food shopping as the car has to go in for its MOT tomorrow morning.
Take care xlovin' this site!

OMG I love Kevin the Carrot.....the bit where he hyperventilates into the paper bag is inspired. Hadn't seen this before but I love it, it actually did make me laugh out loud :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0

Afternoon everyone! I really love the John Lewis add. We showed it to my 2 year old niece and she loves the foxes. At the second viewing she went 'FOX!' when they came on. She's sooo cute. :smileyhea
Speaking of my little niece, I ordered her carry along cafe/coffee shop from Asda last night. Going to collect it on monday. Also will be looking for some of the lovely stag wrapping paper I've seen on their website: https://groceries.asda.com/product/gift-wrap-tags/george-home-stag-wrapping-paper/910002592200
Discovered last night that I have Reynauds in my fingers and nose. Thought it was just my toes but a couple of my fingers randomly 'died' last night. And my nose resembled Rudolph's! :rotfl:
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the build up now xx“In 900 years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important”

Just in case anybody is thinking of buying it, the M&S advent calendar is out. It's £35 if you spend £35 on other items, but it's actually calculating that £35 spend BEFORE any sale prices, so you can actually get away with spending £17.50 to get the advent calendar for £35 : )0

Afternoon everyone, another one who loves the JL advert but the only thing that i think ruins it for me is the little girl not giggling at her dog on the trampoline, i know i know i have my foibles haha but i do think the foxes are so cute. I also love the Aldi one with the carrot, especially when he says great at the grater that is funny. I have DS partners christmas present now so that is another one off of the list.#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0

Morning all
My youngest daughter works in a nursery and wanted a friendly looking and safe to cuddle elf for work. So it can have some elf on the shelf fun during December. I found a pattern for a tooth pixie in a jean greenhough book I had and adapted that. Here is my result
Re the JL ad dd1 pointed out to me thepoke have done a parody version, it's identical apart from the ending. It made me Laugh when I saw it-its gone for the urban vermin message.
Hope everyone is well, I'm doing a pressie drop today so some wrapped stuff is going out of my way.SPC~12 ot 124
