Chrissy where is the meercat experience?
Its at Wigfield farm in Barnsley , its part of the college. Its £40 for 2 people.
VIP Animal Experiences
Meerkat Experience
The meerkat experience costs £20.00 per person and lasts for approximately 30 minutes. You will spend your time in their enclosure and feeding them. They are very inquisitive and cheeky so they will probably try and climb on you and so provide an excellent photo opportunity! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Vulpix- this is the book. It's Christmas wishes by Tony Mitten. It's beautifully written and illustrated. And really descriptive for the radio. A good length too. I'm looking forward to snuggling down on Chrsitmas eve to read it lol.

Haha I like the idea of a Christmas desk Dom.You need a row of those dancing singing characters so you can continually set them off.
Thanks for the info Chrissy, stored it away for future reference.
Thank you for the book suggestions, and Nic thanks for the extra info.I will write a list and ask the library if they have them.Keep suggestions coming as I have this problem every year and having a list would be great.

NIC all you can do is go with your sisters wishes but be prepared for a last minute change of mind, just in case she feels overwhelmed with everything, the flowers with the robin sound beautiful

Hi Free - I went to the 'Fabulous Places' Market in Derby. It's really nice. I always get a VIP ticket as you get a goodie bag and cake, prosecco etc.
Peppa - So pleased that you will have a chemo free ChristmasWe like our Christmasses just the two of us. Mainly because it means I can wear pajamas to Christmas dinner and have a nap afterwards without offending anyone.
DomRavioli - I hope you feel better soon. Your colleague sounds like a nightmare. Sometimes wish you could put people on mute.
Pixtotts - Thanks, I'm hoping the wrapping will turn out like I imagine it in my head.0 -
Yay Peppa on finishing chemo, you can now relax a little, but don't overdo it. My mum was on steroids before she started her chemo, the energy release was fantastic, how many people do you know would think it a good idea to get up at 3:30am to make an apple tart followed by hoovering (a task she loathes) at 5am?! (It's ok, no neighbours to upset!). I spoke to the surgeon the day she had her surgery & he said we would probably have her for 3 years at most, she didn't know this until this year, 8 years down the line.
Dom, hope things better for you at work.
Patent, I have had varifocals for about 4-5 years now, had no choice in getting them as I didn't want the hassle of different glasses for different tasks, took a bit of getting used to, but once you are there, as Free says, would miss them if you changed.
No update on the squatter, still sticking 2 fingers up. Emptied out the bottom drawer of bedside cabinet last night, yeugh! Apparently they don't like smell of peppermint, so getting some and will absolutely soak some cotton wool in it & leave in drawer, ok my knickers may smell of it also, but I don't care! So far, poison, pasta bait, traps with peanut butter have not worked. If the peppermint doesn't work, think I will be left with no choice but to use to use the glue trap, which is not what I want to do.A smile costs little but creates much0 -
Dom Ravioli- I second what Mrs I says- drown your colleague in Christmas loveliness! Hope you are managing a little better x
Mrs I - enjoy the pre wedding chaos and the wedding itself!
Peppa- YAY!! I think once you are rested, that your tree NEEDS to be checked out!! (Then you can put the box away and it wont be cluttering up everywhere lol). Project Paws sounds as if it is really taking off too- hats off to you x
Free- any more cheeky Starbucks?
Patentgirl- Im thinking of getting varifocals too but I just don't want to bite the bullet and commit to them (but I find it irritating to have to swap between pairs of glasses).
Vulpix- hope you find a suitable book soon x
GTQ- those are some die hard visitors you have there! Hopefully the peppermint will do the trick ( I will admit to lots of naughty comments popping into my head about your smelly undies lol- sorry!).
Nothing particularly Christmassy going on at the moment- did any order the Spode mugs from the MSE email a fortnight ago and if so have they had theirs - just wondering as I've not had mine yet.lovin' this site!

Thank you so much for all the lovely comments. I hope you know that the support of you fabulous ladies has helped me tremendously through this past year. I feel like I know you all even though we've never actually met in person.
MURIE I ordered the Spode mugs and they came last week. I went for the £12.99 ones with the shaped sides and I must say they're lovely. I got an email first saying they'd be sent out within about twelve days. If you haven't heard anything maybe it would be worth getting onto them. I think I've deleted the emails from them but I'll have a look in case I haven't.It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
:T Congratulations Peppa on finishing chemo!
Bit miffed today - saw a set of 3 marmalades that I ordered for my Dad online at least half the price in a shop. Hate when that happens. Still, not the end of the world all things considered.
Seems to be parcel week here at the mo. The delivery drivers will be sick of us. :rotfl:
Hope everyone is well. xxx“In 900 years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important”
